Jacob Elordi 'Was Going to Take a Break' Before "Wuthering Heights" Role
Yara Sameh
Jacob Elordi was ready for some time off until the opportunity for "Wuthering Heights" came.
Shooting for "Wuthering Heights" recently wrapped in the U.K., and it's Elordi's second collaboration with the director Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman, The Danish Girl), since 2023's "Saltburn". So, when it came to casting for the project, the actor was able to skip the audition part.
'I was really lucky. I was going to take a break for a while, and then Emerald just very simply texted me, and you can't run from that text,' Elordi told
IndieWire
.
The movie stars Margot Robbie opposite Elordi, and is an adaption of Emily Brontë's novel of the same name, which follows the tumultuous relationship between Catherine Earnshaw (Robbie) and Heathcliff (Elordi) that's passionate and intense after meeting at the eponymous residence and the impact the relationship has on their families.
The actor teased what it was like to work closely with the Barbie actress. 'She's incredible in the film, she's a livewire. I'm so, so excited for people to see it,' he said. 'She's a beautiful actor and she gave so, so much.'
Elordi has Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein" coming out later this year and is currently filming the highly anticipated third season of HBO's "Euphoria".
Robbie, meanwhile, has "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey", in which she stars alongside Colin Farrell, set to premiere in September.
"Wuthering Heights" is set to release from Warner Bros. in February of next year. Robbie's production company LuckyChap Entertainment is producing.

New Wonder Woman Movie in Works, Says James Gunn
Yara Sameh Diana Prince is returning to the big screen. A new feature film about DC superhero Wonder Woman is 'being written right now,' DC Studios co-chief James Gunn said in an interview with EW . The movie would be in addition to an HBO series about Wonder Woman's home of Themyscira, which Gunn says is 'slow moving, but it's moving.' The film would be a fresh start for the character, who was played on the big screen by Gal Gadot in 2017's 'Wonder Woman' and 'Justice League,' 2020's 'Wonder Woman 1984,' 2021's 'Zack Snyder's Justice League,' and in a cameo in 2023's 'The Flash.' With Gunn and co-chief Peter Safran are planning to reboot the DC Universe that means Gadot will not play the character moving forward. A prospective Wonder Woman movie is one of several in development at the studio, which has only greenlit a small handful of movies to date. The first, 'Superman,' opens in July, starring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel and written and directed by Gunn. The second, 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow,' opens in June 2026, starring Milly Alcock and directed by Craig Gillespie from a script by Ana Nogueira. The third, 'Clayface' — a horror film about the titular Batman villain — is set to open in September 2026, and will be directed by James Watkins ('The Woman in Black') from a script by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini. And the fourth, 'Dynamic Duo' — an animated feature about Batman's Robin sidekicks Dick Grayson and Jason Todd — is tentatively set for June 2028. In his interview with EW, Gunn also confirmed he's planning another movie about Superman. 'But is it a straight-up Superman sequel?' he said. 'I would not say necessarily.' Gunn was even more coy about his larger plans for the first wave of DCU projects — which also includes TV shows 'Peacemaker,' 'Lanterns' and 'Creature Commandos.' But when asked if those plans would relate to the Justice League, Gunn offered a one-word tease: 'Sure.' read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean

Zawe Ashton Refers to Tom Hiddleston as Her Husband in Second Pregnancy Reveal
Yara Sameh Zawe Ashton has revealed more than one surprise when she announced her second pregnancy over the weekend. Just after walking the red carpet at the closing of SXSW London on Saturday, June 7, the actress, 40, shared the news with Vogue that she and Tom Hiddleston are expecting a second child together. The outlet referred to Hiddleston,44, as her husband in the pregnancy announcement, seeming to confirm that they are married. Ashton joined Hiddleston at the festival for the premiere of his new movie, "The Life of Chuck". The pair held hands as they posed for photos on the carpet, and Ashton showcased her baby bump in an Emilia Wickstead sky-blue silk crepe gown detailed with ruffles and topped with a matching cape. Ashton and Hiddleston first met while co-starring in a 2019 revival of Harold Pinter's play "Betrayal in London," followed by a run on Broadway in New York City, and got engaged in March 2022. At the time, a source close to the production of the play said that Ashton and Hiddleston always had "lovely" chemistry together while working on the project. "They were very private publicly, but behind the scenes, you could just see a lovely chemistry," the source recalled. "There were twinkles in both of their eyes." After more than two years of dating, the couple seemingly confirmed their romance in September 2021 when they attended the Tony Awards together, marking their first public outing as a couple. They first sparked engagement rumors in March 2022 after the BAFTAs, when Ashton was spotted wearing a diamond ring on that finger in a photo shared on Instagram by AJ Odudu. PEOPLE confirmed the engagement shortly. In June of that same year, Ashton revealed that she was pregnant and expecting her first baby with Hiddleston. Similar to her latest pregnancy announcement, the actress made the big reveal on the red carpet while attending a New York City screening of her film "Mr. Malcolm's List". Months later, in October, the baby had arrived. 'Tom and Zawe are loving being new parents and are filled with joy,' a source told Us Weekly at the time. Though the pair has kept their relationship under wraps, Hiddleston gave Ashton a sweet shout-out on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in November 2023. While chatting about the second season of his Marvel series "Loki", he took a moment to gush about Ashton's recent role in another MCU project, "The Marvels". 'My other half is in The Marvels, and I'm very proud of her," he said. "So there you go. That's out this weekend." read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean
