Brian McFadden says the way Boyzone doc was edited made Louis Walsh 'look bad'
'I've got nothing but good things to say for Louis'
The 72-year-old music mogul also managed McFadden's former band Westlife.
'I've got nothing but good things to say for Louis,' Brian told ITV's Good Morning Britain.
'Louis gave me my career, it's the same with Boyzone. Everything he did was to try and make both bands successful.
'And I think he was, he came across, unfortunately, in the documentary, I think it was edited that he came across a bit bad.
'But listen, I've nothing but love for Louis,' he added.
McFadden, who left Westlife in 2004 said he recently spoke to Louis adding he was 'always good. You'll always make a laugh with him.'
He is now in a supergroup with Boyzone star Keith Duffy called 'Boyzlife' and the pair have released music together and toured across the world performing hit songs by both Westlife and Boyzone, respectively.
Boyzone: No Matter What was a three-episode docuseries released by Sky earlier this year.
The documentary charted the band's rise, fall and legacy of its five members: Keith Duffy, Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Stephen Gately.
It included exclusive interviews with the band as they spoke candidly about their experience in the multi-million record-selling boyband.
The documentary described Louis Walsh as their 'estranged manager.'

Speaking to PA news agency at the premiere of the documentary, Ronan Keating said of him: 'Some of the things he did were wrong.'
'The choices he made weren't right, and he's apologised somewhat, but you know. It is what it is. It's grand. It's OK. You know, I'm still here.' Read more
The pair infamously fell out in the 2000s when Louis Walsh told the media that he 'wasn't the most talented one, he's not a great singer and he's got no personality.'
Keating later said of the comment: "That man absolutely tried to ruin me and if he thinks we can ever hug and make up he can forget it. I haven't heard from him in three years and I wouldn't have a problem if I never saw him again. He's not a nice character.'

Walsh gave his thoughts on the band in the documentary, saying that the band members 'believed their own publicity' and 'forgot [he] wrote it'.
Following the success of Boyzone in the 90s, Walsh went on to create Westlife, which comprised Brian McFadden, Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Mark Feehily, and Kian Egan.
He has also managed acts such as Jedward, Samathan Mumba, Girls Aloud, Shayne Ward and Union J.

ITV's huge new entertainment show to replacing Saturday Night Takeaway revealed – and show will have a hidden twist
With Saturday Night Takeaway and Dancing On Ice on the shelf, ITV has had a vacancy for its next big entertainment hit. And I can reveal that a star-studded prank show called Celebrity Sabotage has already been filmed and will fill the primetime slot. 6 ITV is to fill the Saturday primetime night gap with star-packed prank show Celebrity Sabotage, with Joel Dommett as host Credit: ITV They've installed channel golden boy Joel Dommett as host with I'm A Celebrity favourites Their mission will be to playfully sabotage unsuspecting members of the public by completing daring and funny stunts.
