Two jailed for dealing Class A drugs in Grimsby
Two drug dealers who dealt drugs in their hometown have been jailed.Joshua Deakins, 21, of Spring Bank, Grimsby, pleaded guilty to two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and was sentenced to three years' imprisonment.Jake Clarke, 19, of Evesham Avenue, Grimsby, pleaded guilty to affray, possession of a bladed article, attempted robbery and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. He was jailed for four years and five months.Both were sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court on Friday. It comes after an investigation into an organised crime group operating a county lines drugs network in the area.
Det Con Jane Hardie, of Humberside Police, said officers raided an address in Spring Bank which was suspected of being linked to a drugs line known as AJ."Officers recovered mobile phones and plastic wraps containing heroin, valued at approximately £9,000 from the address," she said.Further phone data analysis uncovered evidence of drug-related activities, police said. A phone belonging to Deakins contained a detailed list of drug debts owed by users and was used to send bulk text messages advertising the sale of crack cocaine and heroin, a spokesperson added.Class A drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin, were also found at an address in Heneage Road, officers said.

Crime falls in Grimsby town centre, council says
