There's no doubt that after his stint on the 10-day injured list due to a bone bruise in his left knee, the Los Angeles Angels are happy to have outfielder Mike Trout back after officially reinstating him on Friday.

He's quickly come out and made an impact, and on Monday, was a huge factor in Los Angeles defeating the Boston Red Sox 7-6 at Fenway Park in the first matchup of a three-game series.
In the game, Trout accumulated four at-bats, three hits, one run scored, three RBIs and had a first-inning home run that helped extend their lead to 5-0.
However, for as impressive as he was on the field, his actions after the game are catching attention, because in a post from the Angels, it was revealed, he'd given his batting gloves to a fan who had a sign revealing he'd beaten cancer.
Trout's kind act has quickly caught the attention of many social media users who are now praising the three-time MVP and 11-time All-Star.

"Dude is a great BB player, but he seems to be a top flight human being as well. Way to go @MikeTrout," said one comment.
"That's our goat doing amazing things," said another.
"Mike is the humblest GOAT in all sports. Keep it up man you make the organization and all of us proud," a third continued.
A fourth stated, "@MikeTrout Always a Class Act!!"
"Pure class. Made that kids day," a fifth continued.
"Doing it big for the fans," said another.

Unfortunately for Trout and the Angels, even after the win, they still have a lot of work to do if they want to avoid their 10th straight losing season, as they currently have a 27-32 record and sit in fourth place in the AL West.

Mariners Announce Julio Rodriguez News After Angels Game

Mariners Announce Julio Rodriguez News After Angels Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Los Angeles Angels defeated the Seattle Mariners on Saturday night. This was the second game of a three-game AL West series. With the loss, Seattle ends the night 3.5 games back of the first-place Houston Astros, and just two games up on the third-place Angels. Advertisement In addition to the MVP-caliber numbers switch-hitting catcher Cal Raleigh has been putting up this season, Seattle has been reliant on the production of All-Star center fielder Julio Rodriguez. The 24-year-old is second on the team in RBIs and runs scored, and has played good defense in center, including a home run robbing catch in the series opener against LA. Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (44)© Jason Parkhurst-Imagn Images In an unfortunate development on Saturday, Rodriguez was removed from the game after recording hits in each of his first two at-bats. While running from second to third, Rodriguez was struck by a 98.1 MPH ground ball off the bat of Randy Arozarena. Advertisement Not only was this an automatic out, but it forced Rodriguez to exit the game. There was obvious concern among Seattle fans, and the Mariners have since announced an official update via manager Dan Wilson. "Julio Rodríguez had X-rays taken tonight here at Angel Stadium, which came back negative … He is day to day and Dan Wilson is optimistic that he'll avoid the IL, but they won't know more until tomorrow," Daniel Kramer of wrote on X. This encouraging update from the team got even better when Rodriguez told reporters there is a "high chance" he plays in the series finale against Los Angeles (via Kramer). Advertisement Rodriguez owns a .742 OPS this season, which is below his career .793 mark. The 2022 AL Rookie of the Year, Rodriguez burst onto the scene with 28 home runs and 75 RBIs in his first MLB season. He followed that with 32 homers and 103 RBIs the next season, but took a step back in 2024. While his numbers do not mirror what he did in his first two MLB seasons, Rodriguez remains an integral part of this Seattle team that has postseason hopes. Adell hits 2 HRs, Taylor also goes deep as Angels rally from 4 down to beat Mariners 8-6

Jo Adell homered twice, Chris Taylor also went deep and the Los Angeles Angels rallied from four runs down and beat the Seattle Mariners 8-6 on Saturday night. Cal Raleigh homered twice — giving him a major league-leading 26 — and drove in four runs for the Mariners, who have lost five straight and 12 of their last 17 games. Angels closer Kenley Jansen, who gave up Raleigh's solo homer in the ninth, finished up for his 14th save. Taylor replaced injured right fielder Jorge Soler (groin tightness) to start the second and led off with a homer off Mariners right-hander Luis Castillo (4-4). Two outs later, Adell hit a 431-foot solo shot to left-center to trim Seattle's lead to 4-2. The Angels took advantage of two Mariners errors to score twice in the third to tie the score 4-4, and Adell's 445-foot homer to center put them ahead 5-4 in the fourth. Doubles by Nolan Schanuel and Taylor Ward pushed the lead to 6-4 in the fifth, and Zach Neto's RBI single made it 7-5 in the sixth. Adell added an RBI single in the seventh for a three-run lead as the Angels scored in six consecutive innings for the first time since 2011. Seattle center fielder Julio Rodriguez, who singled in his first two at-bats, was knocked out of the game in the third after Randy Arozarena's hard grounder hit him above the right ankle while Rodriguez was trying to steal third base. Cole Young doubled and scored in the second and hit an RBI single in the sixth for the Mariners. Key moment Connor Brogdon (1-0) replaced Angels starter Jack Kochanowicz with runners on first and third and one out in the fourth. He struck out J.P. Crawford, walked Jorge Polanco and got Leody Taveras to fly out with the bases loaded to preserve a 4-4 tie. Key stat Adell is 13 for 32 (.406) with five homers, two doubles and nine RBIs in his last 10 games, raising his season average from .184 to .224. Up next Mariners RHP George Kirby (0-3, 8.56 ERA) will start Sunday's series finale against Angels LHP Tyler Anderson (2-2, 3.86).
