Kidwelly in Carmarthenshire, Normanton in West Yorkshire and Kirkham in Lancashire are just a few of the branches that have already rolled down the shutters.
Now stores in March in Cambridgeshire, Chard in Somerset and Horley in Surrey are next to the chopping block.
The March Factory Shop broke the news yesterday.
The store wrote on their Facebook page: "It's with huge sadness, but our store will be closing down.
"Starting tomorrow, we will go into our closing-down sale. All stock must go.
"We also want to thank all our customers for shopping with us."
The news came as a shock for some, with one writing: "Noooo I love that shop."
A second added: "There'll soon be nothing left in March, sorry for the lovely staff."
A third pointed out the importance of supporting the high street and said: "Use it or lose it. How many people in the comments haven't been for years, then act surprised with news like this?
"If a big company like this relies on local support, think how much it means to have the local support as a small business."
Chard's Original Factory Shop announced its closure on a Facebook post previously, giving locals a heads up that they would be treated to a 50 percent off sale until its last day on September 7.

The comment section was flooded with disappointed messages from loyal shoppers.

Another echoed: "Big thank you to all staff members for your kindness and advice. I will definitely miss Factory Shop. All the best and good luck with finding new jobs."
Over in Horley, local MP Taylor O'Driscoll, took to social media to share his thoughts on the closure of the Surrey branch.
"I'm disappointed by the news that The Original Factory Shop in Horley is closing down at the end of September.
"While it's sad to be losing the Original Factory Shop, it's a reminder that in order to keep our high street upright, we must support it."
He was met with agreement, with one writing: "It's not just Horley, sadly, it's everywhere!
"How many of you lot moaning shop on Amazon/online? That's the reason!"
What is happening at TOFS?
The Original Factory Shop was bought by Modella Capital, a private equity firm, in February.
Modella is known for taking on struggling retailers and has also recently bought Hobbycraft and WHSmith's high street shops.
The firm quickly launched a restructuring effort to renegotiate rents at 88 The Original Factory Shop stores.
At the end of April, Modella drew up plans to initiate a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) for the retailer.
Companies often use CVAs to avoid insolvency, which could otherwise force stores to close or trigger the collapse of the entire business.
They allow firms to explore different options, such as negotiating reduced rents with landlords.
But The Original Factory Shop previously told The Press and Journal that a 'number of loss-making stores would have to close' in the restructuring.
The Sun has approached TOFS for comment.

Nationwide has issued a £300 warning to certain parents

During this cost-of-living crisis, mums and dads will reportedly have to spend over £300 on a back-to-school shop this year. Parents are expecting to spend £329 per child on back-to-school items, up £137 (70%) compared to last year. Over a third of parents (36%) claim that social media is to blame for influencing the list of 'must-haves' for schoolchildren, such as designer bags and insulated water bottles. To help parents ease the financial pressure of back-to-school shopping, money-saving expert Sue Hayward shares her tips. Whether you want to speak to a real person in branch, or do your banking online, there are many ways you can bank with us. If you need support, get in touch: — Nationwide (@AskNationwide) January 2, 2025 One parent, Sophie Wilson, who has one child aged five, told the building society: 'This year we'll be spending around £200 on back-to-school items, with school trainers and shoes topping the list. 'We're very fortunate that our school has a great second-hand clothing shop, run by the Parents' Association, so I tend to buy all my daughter's school-branded items from there and then supplement them with additional t-shirts and tights bought during the high-street sales. 'I've also found reselling apps such as Vinted to be a way to save. I've often bought school shoes from Vinted because they tend to be hardly worn. "Usually, a parent has just bought the wrong size or the child has suddenly had a growth spurt, and they come in at about 50% of the cost!' Sue said: 'Back to school is an expensive time of year as research shows some parents spend over £300 kitting their children out for the new school term. Recommended reading: "Pester power caused by social media trends can bring an added financial headache for families with one in three saying they feel under pressure to spend beyond their means. "Cash strapped parents can save by stocking up on basics like polo tops, jumpers and stationery with supermarket deals, and it's also worth looking for 'nearly new' uniform on sites such as Vinted and eBay. "With branded uniform, buying 'outgrown' items through the school or your local Facebook group can also help save money. And local councils may offer financial help with school uniform costs, depending on where you live.'

Clydebank pub Glenhead Tavern teases £290k transformation

The Glenhead Tavern, soon to be renamed The Duntocher, shut its doors in January 2025. However, the boozer is being undertaken by Heineken-owned Star Pubs and new licensee, Clydebank resident Brian Carnochan, who also runs The Grant Arms in Glasgow. The refurb is aiming to turn the shuttered venue into a 'top-notch, family-friendly' local which will dish up home-cooked food and specialise in sports and entertainment. Sharing the images on the social media platform, a spokesperson said: "The journey to remake the Glenhead Tavern is nearly complete. "The builders should be fully off-site this week. The new furniture has arrived. "We will begin the process of stocking everything and getting the place ready to open. "We will keep you updated as we go through this week." The revamp is expected to create 11 new jobs in the area. As part of the works, the outside of the pub will be painted a classic cream colour alongside a bright dark green. Previously, new licensee Brian Carnochan, said: 'I love seeing people having a good time. "I remember The Glenhead Tavern when it was a thriving local. Sadly, it's lost its way in recent years. "It's been much missed, and there's been a lot of concern for its future. "My aim is to restore it to its glory days when it was the place to go. The designs are spot-on, and it will look fantastic when the works are completed.'
