Bolt and Dubai Taxi Company offer 30% discount to new riders
The Dubai Taxi Company has introduced a special 30 percent discount for rides in the emirate.
If you're a new user with e-hailing service Bolt, then you'll be able to get 30 percent cash back on your first three rides.
It is only available for new users on the app, and it includes no surge pricing – so, your discount could go further if you use it during peak hours.
The offer comes as the Estonian-born e-hailing app announced a major expansion in Dubai.
Bolt has revealed that more than 6,000 cabs, including people of determination taxis and ladies and family taxis, are now available on the platform.
The expansion allows residents and visitors more options to book journeys digitally.

Bolt arrived in the emirate back in December and offers a number of features which promise affordable and safe rides.
Along with transparent pricing, the app includes a mapping system ensuring accurate routes, in-app safety features like emergency buttons and live tracking, and a driver score system that promotes high service quality.
More than 200 million people use Bolt around the world, with it operating in more than 50 countries across five continents.
The shared mobility platform connects to existing modes of transport and aims to reduce overall levels of car usage and ownership in big cities by making it easier for people to get around.
The Dubai government aims to transition 80 percent of all taxi trips to e-booking in the coming years, and add more options to book rides digitally will help achieve this goal.
Ammar Al Braiki, chief operations officer of Dubai Taxi Company, said that DTC and Bolt have plans to become the country's largest e-hailing platform.
He said: 'The integration of over 6,000 DTC's vehicles onto the Bolt app represents a major step toward realising our vision of creating the UAE's largest e-hailing platform.
'This milestone underscores our commitment to enhancing and expanding digital transportation services, reflecting both innovation and our shared goal of offering greater convenience and efficiency for users across the emirate.'

Criminals target Apprentice star in V&A Dundee scam bid
The Apprentice star Mike Soutar has revealed how he was targeted by criminals who used V&A Dundee in a bid to scam him. The Dundee-born businessman, a regular on Lord Sugar's BBC show, received an email he believed had been sent by the museum's chairman, Tim Allan. The message asked Mike – a board member at the V&A – to buy gift cards as a reward for hard-working staff at the museum. But he eventually realised he was being scammed when one of his transactions was blocked. Mike, who started his career at DC Thomson and is famed for catching out candidates on The Apprentice, posted about the scam bid on LinkedIn. He said the email from 'Tim' asked him to buy £450-worth of iTunes vouchers and to send his V&A colleague the pin numbers. Mike wrote: 'He sounds a bit stressed and impatient so I try to call him. 'I get no answer but, pressed for time myself, I buy £150 of vouchers. 'My credit card flags the second transaction and blocks it. 'I curse the overcautious fraud filter, and I tap on Tim's name at the top of the email address. 'It is not his email address. 'I message him. He phones me back. 'What's all this about vouchers?'' Mike says he got his money back but felt like an 'absolute mug' at nearly being caught out. He said: 'The irony is not lost on me. 'I'm the man who catches unwitting candidates out on The Apprentice! 'But scams don't prey on stupidity. They prey on timing. On stress. On distraction. They exploit trust. 'That's why so many victims don't talk about it. 'Because it feels personal. It shakes something deeper than your bank balance. 'So here I am, not staying silent. 'Fraud can happen to anyone. Even me. Even you.' Birbraer heads new ownership at Fife Flyers
Fife Flyers have new owners. A North American-based group has been installed as the new management team to run Britain's oldest professional ice hockey club. Former Israeli international, 44-year-old, former Cardiff Devils winger, Max Birbraer, is the new president and general manager, and a spokesman said: 'We are here to build something special.' Kazakhstan-born Birbraer, drafted in Round 3 and 67th overall by National Hockey League side, New Jersey Devils, in 2000, has started work with the club which was formed in 1938, and bosses confirm they are in 'advanced discussions' to appoint a new head coach. Several core players from last season have been contacted and the new owners plan to build what they described as 'a competitive and committed roster'. Hockey agent, Gareth Chalmers, who parted company as managing director of Glasgow Clan and the Braehead Arena in February this year after more than a decade with the club, has joined the Kirkcaldy-based combine as chief commercial and operations officer. Season ticket details will be revealed soon and the spokesman said: 'We're excited to grow our partnerships and business operations with his leadership.' Flyers new bosses say the hard work starts now and they welcome all commercial inquiries. Plans are being made to connect directly to fans. They could include meet and greet, question and answer or a town hall-style event, and the new regime said: 'We want to hear what matters most to you (the fans), what needs to improve, and how we can earn your trust moving forward.' Bosses plan to be more transparent and to provide detailed communication regarding club's architecture, vision and intention. And the statement declared: 'To every supporter: this is your team.
