A friend wrote: "Due to the help of everyone sharing the story, Hannah has thankfully been found and one of her friends is on the way to Cusco to persuade her to accept support and come home.
"We know she has been refusing help due to the complexity of her mental health, so it is most likely that she will need to be placed into psychiatric care before getting a flight back.
"This is an ongoing process but we are doing all we can to bring her back safely."
Another pal Sophie Wallace revealed the fashion graduate had travelled to Peru in March "hoping for an adventure" but ended up in a "terrifying and heartbreaking situation".

She said: "She was robbed and assaulted, losing her passport, phone, and all of her money.
"Since then Hannah's mental
health
, something she has long struggled with, has severely declined.
"She is now in the midst of a mental health crisis, living under a bridge with a homeless man she befriended — the only person she currently trusts."
Attempts to get her help through the embassy or police had failed, with Sophie adding: "She is extremely vulnerable, isolated, and not safe living on the streets of Peru."

He revealed her immigration status was now "in limbo".
He said that before she vanished, the embassy had offered support — including hotel stays and food — but she kept returning to
sleep
under the same bridge.
Local media reports say she is now 'being cared for and accompanied' and that repatriation procedures are underway.
Piero had spoken just hours before finding her about why he felt compelled to act.

"I met Hannah in Lima where I come from," he said.
"I decided to travel to Cusco at the request of her friends and family after seeing her situation online — she was sleeping under a bridge."
He added: 'She didn't have money or documents after being robbed.
"She was a victim of the insecurity in Cusco."

Woman's naked body discovered on notorious party island in popular holiday hotspot
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info The naked body of a British holidaymaker was discovered by a local resident on the infamous 'Full Moon Party' island this morning. Police hurried to the scene and found the 54-year-old washed up on a beach in Koh Phangan, southern Thailand. She was found lying face-down wearing only an orange bra, with her underwear having floated ashore nearby, reports the Mirror. Officers reported no signs of assault on her body. The Full Moon Party, which originated on the island of Ko Phangan in 1985, occurs every month on Haad Rin Beach - on the night of, before, or after every full moon. This year's event is scheduled for next week on June 10. The woman was transported to the Koh Phangan Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police Lieutenant Pongnaphat Somboon of the Koh Phangan Police Station stated: "An X-ray of the victim's body found a large amount of sand and water in her lungs. We believe the cause of death was drowning. We will call the British Embassy to notify her relatives." The woman was discovered by local resident Theerapong while he was out for a stroll in the area at 6.30am. Authorities said the woman had been on the island for about a month and was residing in a nearby bungalow. She intended to check out of the accommodation on June 11 - one day after the island's Full Moon Party. Staff noted the woman frequently consumed alcohol and it's been reported she injured her head after a tumble outside a supermarket on June 2. Locals came to her aid, escorting her back to her accommodation, where she declined any medical help. Upon discovering her remains, officers conducted a room check and found her possessions undisturbed. The woman is thought to have last been observed enjoying a swim at the beach on Monday evening. Police Lieutenant Pongnaphat commented: "We do not believe there is anything suspicious but CCTV images will be checked to ensure that the death was accidental." Fatalities sadly continue to loom over sought-after spots such as Phuket, Pattaya, and Krabi due to potent rip currents, inadequate swimming skills, and ignoring safety signage. Tulisa to recount drugs trial in new memoir detailing her career highs and lows
The pop singer, 36, who found fame in hip-hop trio N-Dubz, was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs in 2013, but the charges were later dismissed after prosecution witness, 'fake sheikh' journalist Mazher Mahmood, was found guilty of tampering with evidence in the trial. The book, titled Judgement, has been written using journals that Contostavlos wrote in amid the media storm following the sting operation that saw Mahmood pose as a wealthy film producer called Samir Khan. In an Instagram video on Tuesday, Contostavlos said: '90pc of this no one has ever known. 'The story of my year in 2013 has been spoken about many times, but it has never been told in the way that it's told in my new book. 'This is living all the juiciest moments from behind the scenes. This book will have you crying one moment, on the edge of your seat the next.' She added: 'I have given absolutely all of myself in this book, it's Sex And The City on a drugs charge.' She wrote in the caption: 'As you all know, I've been through the highs and some unimaginable lows in my career. 'For the first time, I'm sharing everything. The truth, the pain, the fallout, and the strength I discovered when my world fell apart.' The singer had been accused of arranging for Mahmood to be sold more than £800 worth of cocaine by one of her contacts following an elaborate sting for The Sun On Sunday in 2013. During a meeting at a hotel in London, Mahmood posed as a film producer and plied Contostavlos with alcohol as they discussed an acting role alongside Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio. Following the collapse of the trial Contostavlos said 'I have never dealt drugs and never been involved in taking or dealing cocaine' in a statement where she also accused Mahmood of a 'horrific and disgusting entrapment'. In 2016, Mahmood was jailed for tampering with evidence in the collapsed drugs trial when the 'King of the Sting' and his driver Alan Smith, were found guilty of plotting to pervert the course of justice. Publishing director, Ciara Lloyd, who has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to the book, said: 'When I read Tulisa's proposal, I knew instantly that I wanted to publish her. 'I remember the infamous 'Fake Sheikh' trial well and how unfairly Tulisa was treated, a story that highlighted the bias and misogyny in the press, and in our society. 'So, to give a voice to Tulisa and her story as well as showcase her phenomenal talent as a writer is a real privilege. 'This is the perfect redemption story for the original Female Boss, and I'm so proud to be publishing her at Blink.' Contostavlos is most known for singing in hip-hop group N-Dubz who had hits with songs including I Need You, Girls and Number 1, featuring Tinchy Stryder. In 2011, she became a judge on popular reality singing series The X Factor and a year later she released her debut solo album, The Female Boss. She also released the book, Honest: My Story So Far: The Official Autobiography, in 2012, which detailed her life growing up on a council estate in London, to making music with N-Dubz, and helping girl group Little Mix win The X Factor in 2011. The singer from Camden most recently appeared on the 2024 season of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. Judgement will publish in hardback, ebook and audio in August 2025 from Blink Publishing.
