Regardless of the potential timeline(s), OnePlus has confirmed its next phone launch in India will be the highly anticipated Nord 5. The announcement, which was made through social media, carries with it the first look – a sneak peek rather – of the upcoming series alongside revealing a crucial hardware Nord 5 series first look, chipset information revealedThe Nord 5 teaser shows off a device that looks remarkably like the China-exclusive OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra. This corroborates online reports that the Nord 5 will be a rebranded Ace 5 Ultra. What adds more credence to these reports is the choice of underlying chip. While the Ace 5 Ultra has the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus, the Nord 5 is confirmed by OnePlus to have an unspecified Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. If leaks are anything to go by, this could be the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
