Calvin Harris and wife Vick Hope having baby as she confirms pregnancy live on Radio 1
Vick Hope has confirmed she's pregnant with her first child with husband Calvin Harris after weeks of speculation and hints on social media.
Radio presenter Vick Hope and Scots superstar DJ Calvin Harris are expecting their first child. Vick confirmed the news after hints had been circulating online due to pictures from a recent baby shower the couple held.
Despite usually keeping their relationship away from the spotlight, Vick and music icon Calvin have occasionally shared snippets of their lives, including details of their festival-themed nuptials in September 2023.
But Radio 1 was buzzing with excitement on Monday as Vick unveiled the reason behind her upcoming departure from the station's drivetime programme, which she presents alongside Katie Thistleton and Jamie Laing.
The 35-year-old told listeners: "I should say that this is my final week. I wanted to share that with you because we've had such a lovely time over the last few weeks.
"That time is coming to an end for a bit because I'm going on maternity leave next week."
Jamie Laing, familiar to audiences from reality show Made In Chelsea, chimed in with heartwarming support, saying: "You're an amazing friend, an amazing person, and you're just going to be an amazing mum.", reports the Mirror.
Vick also revealed why she has refrained from making a formal pregnancy announcement, stating: "This is not an announcement, by the way. People keep saying are you going to announce, are you going to announce?
"And I'm like, I'm not the King. I do not see the point, it's not for me. I'll be honest, I struggle with anything that's personal or private.
"I will tell you a story about eating a kebab out of a bin, that's one thing. But there's a line and so I've never been that big on sharing. Particularly because I've just been enjoying this privately and quietly."
Before the baby news broke, Vick cleverly disguised her growing tummy at various events, including March's BRIT Awards, reports the Mirror.
However, when she met Prince William during his Somerset visit as part of his duties as Duke of Cornwall, Vick shone in a stylish brown knee-length coat paired with a cream jumpsuit.
Her burgeoning belly was subtly highlighted whilst she engaged in conversation with the future king, resting her hands underneath it.
The prince commended her on her "brilliant" new Countryfile presenting gig, while Vick appreciated chatting about the delights of spending time amidst nature.
Elsewhere, at the BRIT Awards on March 1, before her pregnancy revelation came to light, Vick and Calvin were the very picture of romance.
On the red carpet, Vick turned heads in an elegant brown silk dress with a daring chest cut-out showcasing her midriff. The side slashes of her gown offered a peek at her bump as she and Calvin stood smiling for the paparazzi.

Not long into their relationship, Calvin proposed to Vick during a quaint getaway at his countryside estate in Ibiza, only five months after they started dating.
The couple said their "I dos" in a beautiful ceremony at Hulne Priory, Alnwick, just four months later. The festival-themed wedding was attended by celebrities such as AJ Odudu, Scott Mills, and Vernon Kay.
The spectacular day was marked with a fireworks display and live music from Nile Rogers and Chic.
