Bank holiday tram disruption due to improvements
There will be bank holiday disruption to the Supertram network in Sheffield to allow for rail replacement work.
The changes to services between Saturday and Monday are to allow the replacement of worn tracks at the Gleadless Townend tram stop, Travel South Yorkshire said.
Supertram's blue route will only run between Malin Bridge and Sheffield Station, with purple route services suspended.
A replacement bus service will run between Fitzalan Square and Halfway, it added, with all other services due to be operating as normal.
For journeys to Herdings/Leighton Road or Herdings Park, valid Supertram tickets will be accepted on First Bus services 47 and 48.
Travel South Yorkshire said the rail replacement works would "ensure trams can continue to operate safely for years to come".
A South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority spokesperson said: "By scheduling works over the bank holiday weekend when the tram network has lower passenger numbers, we hope to minimise any passenger and traffic disruption and keep people moving while this work progresses."

Students to get travel grants worth hundreds
A scheme that gives young people access to public transport at a reduced rate is being extended. Students in North Lincolnshire who live more than three miles from their school or college, or those with special educational needs and disabilities, will be given travel grants worth up to £362. The scheme is designed to help them travel between their homes and lessons during term time, North Lincolnshire Council said. Councillor Julie Reed, cabinet member for families and children, said: "We are committed to helping young people in North Lincolnshire access education and training opportunities to help them succeed." Reed added: "We are not required to fully fund transport, however we recognise the importance and have decided to provide most of the funding for our students like we have done for many years. "Keeping residents of all ages connected to communities is a key priority." The council said the allowance was intended for use on public transport, but students could use it for alternative forms of transport if there was no available service. Group treks Great Wall of China to raise £85k
A group of people who trekked along the Great Wall of China have raised more than £85,000 in support of a hospice. The team took on the challenge to fundraise for Dove House Hospice, which is a charity that provides respite and end-of-life care for people in Hull and East Yorkshire. The hospice warned they were facing a funding shortfall in April due to rising costs. Singer Ruth Scott, from Hull, said she took part in the walk because the charity provided "incredible care" for vulnerable people and their families. Dove House costs about £11m a year to run, but the charity only receives about £1m in statutory funding. The rest of its funds are raised by the community. Twenty people signed up for the site's latest fundraising challenge and set off for China 17 May, walking a 31-mile (50km) route along the Great Wall. Upon her return, Ms Scott said: "It's not an easy walk, incredibly steep in places, a lot of the wall is rubble. "The views are just unbelievable. You can't comprehend. "It's a privilege if I'm honest, to be able to go there." She said she had felt inspired by the charity's work throughout the challenge. "They provide incredible care for people when they're really vulnerable," she said. "They're in the last stages of their life, and they support people who are dying, and also the families."
