Zoë Kravitz offered Taylor Swift's Beverly Hills mansion during California's wildfires crisis
The actress, 36, spoke about the incident during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, describing how Taylor, 35, opened her $25 million 1930s mansion to her and her mother Lisa Bonet, 55, amid the wildfire crisis — only for the pair to leave part of the singer's home 'completely destroyed.'
Zoë said: 'We ended up having to stay there for about two weeks.
'And Taylor has this beautiful house. It's from the '30s, something you want to preserve and take care of.'
Despite her usual care as a houseguest, Zoë admitted a mishap occurred in Taylor's bathroom.
She said: 'I try to be a good houseguest, I try to leave places better than I found them.'
But as she and her mum were tidying up at the end of their stay, Zoë received a call from Lisa.
She found her mother 'crouched in the corner in this weird way' in the upstairs bathroom.
Zoë added: 'And I'm like, 'What's going on, dude?' And she's like, 'So I was washing my face and I had Orpheus and I just put her down for a second. Closed the door and she found this little hole in the corner'.'
The hole trapped Lisa's pet snake Orpheus in the wall behind a built-in banquette.
Their attempts to retrieve the serpent caused a frantic scramble that sent it further into the structure. Eventually, Taylor's house manager arrived with a crowbar to dismantle the banquette.
Zoë added: 'We're ripping up the tile. We're scratching the walls. Completely destroyed Taylor's bathroom and there was just this moment where I was like, 'Either we destroy her bathroom or I have to tell her that there's a snake somewhere in her house.'
She said she assured Taylor's manager: 'Obviously, I'm gonna pay for everything to be fixed. Please just don't say anything until it's fixed.'
When Zoë later called Swift, the singer was already aware.
She said: 'I remember calling her saying, 'Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something.' And she was like, 'Is it the fact that you almost lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?''
Zoë has been friends with Swift for over a decade and has collaborated on her music, co-writing the 2022 songs Karma and Lavender Haze and providing backing vocals on Midnights.
She also described attending Taylor's sold-out Eras tour in London and spending relaxed evenings with the singer afterwards.
Zoë added: 'But what is weirder actually to me is that after she performs for however many thousands of people… she just comes over after, and like, we drink some wine, and like, eat a burger, and like, hang out.'

Taylor Swift's new album The Life of a Showgirl: Travis Kelce, Blake Lively, Max Markson
Like an anti-Victoria Beckham (noted hater of her husband's football career), Taylor Swift has appeared on her NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast to discuss her upcoming 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl , to be released on October 3. If listening to meatheads blabber for two hours while the world's biggest star benevolently gives their viewership numbers an artificial bump isn't your idea of a good time, just know that Taylor gave us vital details around the new album. Here's our premature evaluation. Taylor Swift's new album The Life of a Showgirl is coming in October. Credit: AP The return of Taylor Swift, pure pop paragon Let's face it, The Life of a Showgirl is already on track to be Taylor Swift's third-best album thanks to two words: Max Martin. The Swedish pop supremo and his producing partner Shellback – who were responsible for the best bits on Swift's best albums, Reputation and 1989 (yes, in that order) – are the credited producers on every track on the new album, confirming what everyone suspected after Swift this week shared a Spotify playlist highlighting their biggest hits for her, from 22 to Wildest Dreams . On her boyfriend's podcast, Swift said she recorded the album in Sweden during the European leg of her Eras tour and promised 'bangers'. It proves that Taylor reads her own reviews. After the Matty Healy-yearning fizzer that was The Tortured Poets Department , the critical consensus was that her once-fruitful relationship with producer Jack Antonoff had run its course, stalled at mid-tempo moodiness, and that she needed a refresh. Returning to the glory of yore might seem a reductive move, but let's not forget that Max Martin doesn't sleep: his recent work on Ariana Grande's Eternal Sunshine and The Weeknd's Hurry Up Tomorrow – including the pre-album smash Dancing in the Flames – show he's still got the Swede-est touch. Doing it with a broken heart? The highlight of Taylor's Tortured Poets era – beyond proving she has great taste in men – was I Can Do it with a Broken Heart , the album's second single and longest-charting hit. Its success surely inspired Taylor's latest pop pivot. She added the song to her Eras tours last year, complete with a showgirl aesthetic: feathers, canes and Old Hollywood glamour, which led me to assume that Taylor loved Margot Robbie's Babylon . The Life of a Showgirl 's album cover – showing a sexy Swift near-drowning in a bathtub – seems to point to that song's ideas: the lonely grind behind the glamorous pop life. As do the album's typically evocative track titles, including The Fate of Ophelia , Elizabeth Taylor and Cancelled! . Bubblegum pop with a sour centre: it's the best flavour. But is it a head fake? On the podcast, Swift said the album was inspired by the 'infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in my life' during her Eras tour and Kelce courtship, and said 'that effervescence has come through on this record'. OK, so why are you drowning in a bathtub on the cover, surrounded by the font from Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette then?

Taylor Swift moved in with her father after his major heart surgery
Taylor Swift moved in with her dad, Scott Swift, after he underwent quintuple bypass surgery. The All Too Well singer has detailed her father's recovery from the major operation, which he underwent in June, and how she experienced "parent-child reversal" nursing him amid his recovery. Providing an update on her parent on her boyfriend Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast, she said: "So, he's been telling all his friends, 'you need to get the stress test because that's what's actually preventative.' If you can find that earlier, you don't have to have a bypass surgery. "You can sort out those blockages with stents and things that are a lot less invasive." Scott kept his sense of humour and was cracking jokes in his hospital bed after waking up from his op. Taylor recounted: "He wakes up from surgery, and it's my mom, my brother [Austin], and me and his best friend. He did like a comedy act, a comedy set for 15 minutes. He was the funniest he's ever been, and he's usually really funny." She continued: "And it was kind of wild because it was like, very parent-child reversal in a lot of ways. My brother and my mom and I were each taking shifts in the ICU and staying with him 24/7." The But Daddy I Love him singer's papa famously handed out guitar picks to fans on her Eras Tour, and in his sleepy state, he was trying to give them to the hospital staff. Taylor shared: "He came out of surgery, tried to give guitar picks to all the nurses and doctors, but he wasn't wearing pants, didn't have pockets, hospital gown, you know?" Taylor got to work ensuring her dad could shower and get around in a walker. She said: "I'm like, this dude built play sets and swing sets and cribs for me. I'm building his shower chair and his walker, and his bed that goes like this. "It's just surreal, man. You can't really walk on your own. We had a little harness for my dad, just like walking dad on his harness." She added: "And he was like the loveliest patient ever. He just kept saying thank you over and over again."

Five things we learned from Taylor Swift's podcast
Taylor Swift's appearance on the New Heights podcast was her first podcasting interview, where she revealed many things she hasn't spoken about publicly giving greater insight into her life. From finally closing the hurtful chapter of fighting for the rights to her music to intimately interacting and speaking at length with her boyfriend of two years Travis Kelce, fans were sure to learn something new. Here are our top five moments from the podcast's most requested guest: Swift got emotional and fought back tears when she talked about the moment she found out she finally owned the master recordings from her first six albums. Since she was a teenager, Swift has been battling for the ownership of her records and publishing rights so she could control distribution and her legacy. She did well to keep it together as Kelce comforted her as she spoke about the moment she sent her mum and brother over to Shamrock Capital, the owners of her music, in an attempt to get it back. 'I haven't gotten my hopes up about this in a decade. A couple of months after the Super Bowl, I was in Kansas City. I get a call from my mum. She's like, 'You got your music.' I very dramatically hit the floor for real. Bawling my eyes out, weeping, like 'Really?' I said to myself 'Go tell Travis in a normal way'.' 'He was playing video games, and he put his headset down. I was like 'I got my music back!' And I was heaving crying. This changed my life.' Kelce spoke about his girlfriend attending her first Chiefs game on September 25, 2023, against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium. 'The first game she went to, she went through the front door of the stadium, general admission with everybody on the bus to the game,' he said, adding that it was a relationship green flag. Swift replied: 'I was like, this is where we walk in, we just played here 3 months ago and went a different way, but I'm not gonna say that.' She said she was able to sneak in by Kelce's 'bulky' friends shielding her, and by wearing a hat and face mask, thousands of NFL fans weren't able to recognise her. Another sneaky tactic that showed her 'weird side' was when she arrived at her Eras tour stage concealed in a cleaning cart. 'I didn't want fans seeing the first outfit and look before the show and give away the first era (Lover),' she said. 'I work so hard to surprise fans, and they're like I don't want to be surprised, they want to figure stuff out. 'When I know when I can get them and surprise them it's so worth it, that's what entertainment is really.' Not touring at the moment means Swift can immerse herself in her beloved personal activities she claimed were from the 1700s. 'It's fun to see what she gets into around the house,' Kelce said. Swift's hobbies include sewing, which is limited to children's purses and baby blankets, painting and cooking. At the moment she is in her sourdough baking era with her favourite loaves being blueberry lemon and cinnamon swirl. Throughout almost the entire two-hour episode, the loved-up duo can't keep their hand off each other. Kelce is seen with his hand resting on her thigh or Swift's arm interlocked with his and it's so damn cute. Even the way they publicly speak about each other is relationship goals, with one example being when Kelce spoke about the moment he saw her on stage for the first time. 'I was mesmerised and captivated, it left me with a desire to want to meet you,' he said. 'I was so engulfed in the curiosity of who you makes me so much better.' The NFL star also said his summer highlight was when Swift reclaimed her master recordings. Swift returned the compliments by calling him 'handsome'. With 12 albums under her belt and hundreds of songs, Swift we learn her album Red, originally released in 2012, was her favourite album to re-record. She said after she accidentally revealed to fans in an interview that she had a 10 minute version of All Too Well, the demand for the song was unreal. Swift found the original verses on the song and released it for Taylor's Version.
