Has Starbucks announced any July 4 deals?
Unfortunately, the coffee chain is not offering any special discounts for Independence Day this year. But there are still reasons to stop by.

‘Tiranga Yatra' fills Chandni Chowk with patriotic fervour
The historic lanes of Chandni Chowk were awash with patriotic colours on Monday, ahead of Independence Day. The Virat Tiranga Yatra, led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Praveen Khandelwal, brought together traders, residents, and BJP workers in a vibrant celebration. BJP leaders and workers during a 'Tiranga Yatra' at Chandni Chowk in New Delhi on Monday. (PTI) Starting from Red Fort's ramparts, and culminating at Fatehpuri, the celebration drew participation from women, youth, workers, and the local trading community and turned the bustling market area into a sea of tricolours. Shopfronts, rooftops, and street corners along the route were decorated with the national flag and the yatra was accompanied by bands, drums, shehnais, and trumpets. Local market associations and RWAs lined the route, showering flowers on the participants. Slogans such as 'Har Gali – Har Mohalla, Har Dil Mein Tiranga Laharaye' and 'Tiranga Aan Bharat Ki – Tiranga Shaan Bharat Ki' echoed throughout, underscoring the unity and pride of the gathering. Khandelwal described the yatra as 'a reflection of deep respect and unwavering commitment to our national flag.' He linked the event to the 'Bharatiya Samaan – Hamara Swabhiman' campaign under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling it a decisive step towards promoting indigenous products and self-reliance. 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi is recognised globally not only for his bold decisions but also for implementing them effectively. Today, the world acknowledges India's growing power, leadership, and capabilities,' Khandelwal said. He added that traders nationwide are joining the campaign, playing a key role in strengthening the economy and reviving India's manufacturing prowess. The initiative, he stressed, represents not just economic progress but also 'the resurgence of India's glory, pride, and self-reliance.'

CM to inaugurate slew of projects today; Metro-3 may launch by Aug end
MUMBAI: On the eve of Independence Day and with local body polls approaching, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis will preside over a string of infrastructure inaugurations in Mumbai — from flyovers and bridges to a motormen training centre and redeveloped housing. But the much-awaited third phase of Metro-3, between Worli and Cuffe Parade, will not be part of the current spree, with officials indicating a launch towards the end of August. CM to inaugurate slew of projects today; Metro-3 may launch by Aug end The 9.1-km stretch, part of the Aqua Line, had initially been expected to open on August 15, but a Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) official said work on two Kalbadevi stations — slowed by the area's dense and congested layout — is still being completed. 'We are targeting an inauguration by the end of August,' the official added. On Tuesday, Fadnavis will attend three separate functions organised by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). These will include the inauguration of the 2.75-km flyover connecting Mumbai University to Vile Parle, aimed at easing the notorious Santacruz bottleneck; a new bridge between Kalanagar and Dharavi to improve east-west connectivity; and a Metro motormen training centre at Mandale, which will save operators the trouble of travelling to Hyderabad and other cities for training. The chief minister will also inaugurate MMRDA staff quarters at Malvani. Another key highlight will be the symbolic handover of keys to 556 tenants from the redeveloped BDD chawls in Worli — marking the completion of the project's first phase — followed by the opening of the International Experience Centre at the Dabbewala Bhavan in Bandra West.

In unusual move, US to take cut of AI chips sold to China
1 2 Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices are expected to pay the US 15% of the money they take in from selling artificial intelligence chips to China, as part of a highly unusual financial agreement with the Trump administration. The deal, which was described by three people familiar with the agreement who spoke anonymously, comes a month after Nvidia received permission to sell a version of its artificial intelligence chips to China. While the Trump administration publicly said a month ago that it was giving the green light to Nvidia to sell an AI chip called H20 to China, it did not actually issue the licenses making those sales possible. The deal could funnel more than $2 billion to the US govt. President Trump confirmed the terms of the unusual arrangement in a Monday press conference while noting that he originally wanted 20% of the sales revenue when Nvidia asked to sell the "obsolete" H20 chip to China. The president credited Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang for negotiating him down to 15%. "So we negotiated a little deal. So he's selling a essentially old chip," Trump said. Last week, Jensen Huang, Nvidia's CEO, met with President Trump at the White House and agreed to give the federal govt its 15% cut, essentially making the federal govt a partner in Nvidia's business in China, said the people familiar with the deal. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Independence Day Sale is Live - Check The Sale Luxury Watches Buy Now The commerce department began granting licenses for AI chip sales two days later, these people said. Though Huang has led negotiations with the White House, Nvidia isn't the only company that sells AI chips to China. AMD has an AI chip called the MI308 and in April the Trump govt also banned sales of it to the Chinese. There are few precedents for the commerce department agreeing to grant licenses for exports in exchange for a share of revenue. But the unorthodox payments are consistent with Trump's interventionist role in international deals involving US firms.
