The IIHF Worlds provides way more to 18-year-old Macklin Celebrini than the usual event. Just icing the rink with hockey greats Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon, the Sharks' rookie is soaking up first-class lessons on and off the ice.
Whereas Celebrini should still pretty much be transforming himself into a young pro, he has been demonstrating this unusually pondered air of maturity, composure, and competitive fire. This rare chance to train alongside two Stanley Cup champions can mold him into the next big NHL star.

Macklin Celebrini, who is on a journey from top draft pick to Calder Trophy finalist, is taking an exciting turn at the IIHF World Championship by skating with some of the game's most talented veterans.
Being placed on a line with Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby allowed Celebrini to learn through osmosis, observing Crosby's positioning and discipline as well as leadership. Meanwhile, Colorado Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon has provided some silent mentorship by saying in a recent interview that Celebrini is already "miles ahead" of where he was at that age.
The difference between Celebrini and an ordinary athlete consists not only of his skills but also of his mind.

Coaches and teammates have talked lavishly about his competitiveness, emotional maturity, and relentless will. Try to argue against 63 points in the first NHL season, six more in seven games at Worlds, and you will be shut down. But beyond the statistics, his impact on the locker room stands out even more. Ryan Warsofsky, who coached Celebrini through the season and is now leading the U.S.
team at Worlds, described Celebrini as a man of natural leadership and elite mentality.
The exposure to and immersion in a team like Canada, full of battle-hardened veterans, are only sharpening his instincts. Every moment spent together, from dinner sharing to practice to strategizing for game implementation, has become a building block in his development. Even at 18 years of age, comparisons to older professionals are already being made in his play and personality.

For Macklin Celebrini, the IIHF Worlds are not simply an international stage but rather a boot camp for greatness. With the amazing supervision of Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon, his education could have no other possible outcome than to put his skills on a stage that no training camp could. With this kind of coaching, it would not be crazy to foresee a fast revival of San Jose's rebuild.

Goldberg is ready to give one last show to his fans before WWE retirement

Goldberg (Image via WWE) Once one of the biggest in-ring names in the WCW, Goldberg joined WWE a few years into the transition after his contract with AOL Time Warner expired. He then went on a break for a few years before returning to the WWE stage in 2016. But at 58 years of age, he is not what he once was, and it's starting to slow him down a little. This is why he is now getting ready for his last match in the squared circle, preparing for his retirement from WWE. Goldberg talks WWE retirement and the toll it is taking on his body Goldberg wants his retirement match to be a once-in-a-lifetime thing and, thus, is preparing heavily for it. He said that he knows when his last match is going to be, but getting ready for it has not been easy. Heavy training has taken its toll and injuries have been popping up one after the other. Appearing on CarCast , the WWE veteran said that he has injured himself multiple times while getting fight-ready for the finale. "I know the date (of my retirement match). No one else knows the date public-wise… I hurt myself a couple times in the past three months. But I pulled back... I've got a very high bar to set that I set for myself and 99 times out of a hundred, it's unrealistic… I've been in the ring a couple times. I'm gonna get in the ring again today and it's just tough, man. It is tough.' Goldberg said that he knows it is unrealistic, especially at this age, to think that his body can handle the pressure that he is putting it in. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo But at the same time, he wants to do the best he can in what would be his goodbye to something he has loved for so long. There have been some rumors that he could be at the Saturday Night Main Event in Atlanta in July, which could serve as his retirement stage, but it's been speculation as of now. Goldberg is ready to give his all one last time Goldberg is ready to put in his everything, even if it means a couple of injuries on the way. From Muay Thai to some really intense workout sessions, the WWE Hall of Famer is not pulling any stops. He has blown his shoulders and bicep and pulled his hamstring, all while trying to throw a high kick. But none of that is going to stop him. 'I'm not just showing up to show up. I need to show up and be me… That was the first day that I felt really good.' He knows what's at stake, and is not going to let his fans down at any cost, even if it means sporting a couple of injuries and whatnot. Fans will definitely be waiting to learn more about his retirement match, while Goldberg gets ready for one last fight. Like I said in the Champions Trophy, it gives an opportunity to another player to put their hands up," he added. India enter the series under the leadership of new Test captain Shubman Gill , who has taken over the reins following Rohit Sharma's retirement from red-ball cricket. The England tour marks the beginning of India's campaign in the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27 cycle. The five-Test series will be played at historic venues — Headingley, Edgbaston, Lord's, Old Trafford, and The Oval — between June and August.
