My headphones finally work on planes, and this helpful hack made it happen
We've all been there — just as you're about to board your flight, it hits you: you left your wired headphones at home. That means you're stuck choosing between using the airline's flimsy freebies to watch a movie or skipping in-flight entertainment altogether.
Even with those, you're not getting top-tier sound quality, and there's not a chance you'll have noise cancellation that can stand up to the loud noises of a plane mid-air.
Well, thanks to the AirFly Pro, you won't find yourself in this situation anymore, and at 24% off, now is the perfect time to snag one before the summer travel season really begins.
What is the AirFly Pro?
It's a small Bluetooth transmitting device that plugs into a headphone jack and pairs with your favorite pair of wireless headphones or earbuds. By going wireless, you won't have to worry about getting tangled in the wires or plugging and unplugging headphones to let your seat neighbor up.
With over 25 hours of battery life, you'll be able to take the AirFly with you on long-haul flights, and there's even the ability to pair two devices at once, so you and the person you're traveling with can share audio.
I've used the AirFly Pro on a few flights and trust me when I say it's a total game changer. I was able to pair my Sonos Ace wireless headphones to stream movies mid-air, knowing that I'd get to listen with the sound quality and comfort of one of my favorite pairs of headphones.
Amazon
The Twelve South AirFly Pro is a compact Bluetooth transmitter and receiver designed to wirelessly connect your headphones to non-Bluetooth audio sources like in-flight entertainment systems. It supports dual-device pairing, allowing two users to enjoy the same audio simultaneously, and boasts an impressive battery life of up to 25 hours on a full charge.

51 Easy Home Office Upgrades If You're Always Working
A slim laptop stand to raise your laptop and bring it closer to eye level, especially handy if you use it with a desktop monitor. This is better for the overall ergonomics of your setup, but it also ensures your laptop gets ventilation and doesn't overheat. This stand fits any laptop from 10–15.6 inches and can be easily disassembled into three parts for easy transportation. Promising review: "This has helped my neck pain and workflow. I'm used to working in an office with monitors, and this made a big difference in my work-from-home experience by putting my screen at a comfortable eye level. The material is good quality, feels sturdy, and was simple to assemble. It comes in three pieces and is intuitive to put together without looking at directions. There are pads on the top to keep your laptop from sliding. I'm using it with a 15-inch laptop, and it's a good fit. I did get a wireless keyboard to use with it, which I would recommend. If you were to try to type on your laptop keyboard with this, it would be uncomfortable. I bought it for the ergonomics, but as a bonus, I am liking how it helps me keep my desk organized with the extra space beneath. Great product!" —MGet it from Amazon for $16.99+ (available in 10 colors). A desktop whiteboard that fits in that lil' space between your monitor and keyboard for writing quick notes, ideas, or even motivational messages for yourself. A little pull-out drawer holds your dry-erase markers and other small accessories! This whiteboard also comes with a dry-erase marker, accessory channel (to hold the marker), and a storage review: "Never thought something analog would be SO useful in my daily routine. I work from home and am constantly project managing a number of complex strategic projects. Having pertinent information directly in front of me and top of mind has done incredible things for my productivity. Never would have imagined it would make such a difference. For a nominal investment, I highly recommend it if you have trouble keeping up with things." —Captainflapjax Get it from Amazon for $26.99 (available in five styles). A 24-inch budget-friendly monitor in case working off just your laptop isn't cutting it anymore. It'll give you a much larger workspace and the ability to drag windows seamlessly between your connected laptop and monitor. Being able to reference several pages at once can have a major (positive) impact on your productivity — and it's much more comfortable than crouching over your MacBook every day. A sleek monitor riser with four USB ports, because there's no such thing as having too many USB ports on hand. If you've ever scrambled to find a free slot to charge your phone, Bluetooth headphones, microphone, desk fan, and other WFH gadgets, this'll give you significantly more options. Other things to keep in mind: Raising your laptop or monitor up to eye level makes for better ergonomics (i.e. reduced eye and neck strain), PLUS by lifting your screen up, you make more room on your desk for storage underneath the stand. Promising review: "This was just the thing I needed for my desk. Super convenient to have the wireless charger and the USB hub too. Very good for cable management. I really love having a stand that provides additional functionality. It's a clean design, maybe the logo is a bit large and white on black so it's quite noticeable (a shade of gray on black would be nicer), but that's OK. Great stand!" —T Get it from Amazon for $66.49+ (available in two sizes). Or a dual-monitor riser with a walnut wood top giving you even more space to work with, whether you have a two-screen setup or just want to surround your monitor with quirky collectibles and knick-knacks (I support either). It even has a built-in shelf underneath for stashing your laptop, perfect if you like to close it and only look at your monitor. A Bluetooth speakerphone if you're still relying on your laptop speakers for video calls. This'll noticeably improve your audio by reducing background noise and enhancing your speech, and you'll hear your colleagues more clearly as well, making it an improvement for everyone involved. An adjustable standing desk converter, because we all know sitting for hours straight is terrible for our health. With this, you can easily take standing breaks throughout the day while still working, and when you're sitting, it functions as a regular monitor stand so you can set your screen at eye level. Or a sleek and beautiful electric standing desk if you're ready to go all-in on the sit-to-stand office life. With just the tap of a button, it'll raise itself up in a matter of seconds, and you can save up to four height presets so you're not having to readjust each time! It also has a child lock feature to avoid accidental activation *and* integrated USB charging ports on the side. I personally use the FlexiSpot Comhar EG8 standing desk, and I really can't recommend it enough if you're ready to invest in a high-quality standing desk. I have the white desk with a glass top (pictured on the right above), and it looks super modern and elegant in my living room. There's a thin drawer in the front — you won't be storing anything super thick in there, but it's great for putting papers, sticky notes, and other small items out of the way. The actual standing desk feature works like a charm — since it's just me using this desk, I only use two of the four height presets: one for my sitting position, and one for my standing position. An anti-collision feature is also built in, meaning the desk will stop moving if it detects an obstacle in its way. I've found this feature can be a little hit or miss, so it's best to keep the area clear and just be attentive as it moves up and down. The child lock is *particularly* handy — I don't have kids around, but it's easy to bump into the control panel and accidentally activate the desk if you don't have this lock turned review: "LOVE this desk. Super easy to assemble, and the built-in drawer keeps things so tidy. I like the child safety lock, too. It took a few weeks to arrive but was very well-packaged. The quality blows me away. Before the pandemic, I worked at various offices with all different kinds of stand-up desks, and this one by far is the most versatile and well made. This is a must-have upgrade if you're working from home. Beautiful, functional and the child lock feature makes it safe if kids are around. Can't recommend enough." —BrieGet it from Amazon for $259.99+ (available in six colors, with a glass or wood top, and three sizes). A memory foam gel pad to provide ergonomic support for your wrists and avoid the aches and pains that come with typing at a computer all day. Seriously, once you get wrist pads, there's no going back. Or a cushy cloud wrist rest you've probably seen all over TikTok if you're remotely interested in ~desk aesthetic~. It'll give your setup such a dreamy vibe, and your wrists will thank you for the cloud-like support! An ergonomic mouse pad with built-in wrist support, adding both comfort and flair to your desk setup. It comes in over 40 different styles! Overall this is a great product for the money and keeps my hand/wrist from hurting throughout the day." —Julie DunfeeGet it from Amazon for $11.99 (available in 38 different styles). Or! An adjustable heated mousepad if your home office runs chilly (and you're trying to keep energy bills down). A sweet lil' USB desk fan with a wood grain base, here to cool you down if the room starts to feel a little stuffy — or when you get hit with a last-minute project and start to sweat. A charging station that'll be a one-stop shop for organizing your devices so they're not scattered all across your desk or cluttering a drawer. It has six USB charging ports (with overcharge protection) and illuminated LED dividers that show you at a glance whether a device is still charging or all juiced up. An adhesive monitor clip for holding larger papers and keeping them organized. This handy clip can hold up to 30 sheets at once so you can easily reference while typing, especially handy for note-taking and data entry. Promising review: "I love this product. I always buy one when I move into a new office. It's basic, but it works. Clip adheres very well to my computer monitor when both services are clean and dry. Use some rubbing alcohol to clean both services before trying to adhere it. I like this document clip because it helps me be more productive. I also use it to hold papers that need my immediate attention if I am not doing data entry. In summary, I've purchased this product many times for a reason. It does the job with no frills and it's a great value!" —CassidyGet it from Amazon for $10.39. A transparent monitor attachment if sticky notes are currently taking over your desk — with this, you can keep them organized and neatly visible next to your monitor for easy reference! It has a built-in stand at the bottom for holding your phone with a hole for a charger to pass through. Each of the attachments has a sticky film that's strong enough to adhere to your monitor, but easy enough to remove that it won't damage it. Promising review: "I have 568 stickies on any given day and this is exactly what I needed to keep myself organized. They came packaged nicely, no cracks or scratches, and was easy to adhere. Promising review: "Great product! I bought these to put in my nightstand drawer to store small things, as the drawer is very deep. I've got ChapStick, hand lotions, a small flashlight, and other bedside items in them so they're not just rolling around the drawer. I just bought some more for my bathroom vanity. They fit together nicely but also lift right out of each other. The plastic is sturdy, and they came individually wrapped to keep them from scratching." —SparkyjGet a six-piece set from Amazon for $12.99 (also available in larger sets). A colorful desk mat that's waterproof so your desk will be protected when you accidentally knock over your drink or spill some cereal while working (oops). It doubles as a mousepad *and* helps tie your entire aesthetic together if you have a color scheme! A cordless Logitech vertical ergonomic mouse reviewers with carpal tunnel, arthritis, and other kinds of hand pain or mobility issues say has brought them relief while working at the computer. The vertical design helps relax your wrist and promotes a more natural hand position while you work. A game-changing hanging wall organizer you can hang just to the side of your desk for organizing all your papers into color-coded sections — the colored folders are slightly transparent so you can see what's inside. It's designed to handle those annoyingly bulky chargers, PLUS it has two USB fast-charging ports, meaning you can finally put an end to your daily routine of plugging and unplugging things underneath your desk. Promising review: "These things are amazing. I have one in almost every room of my house. AND the plugs are set far enough apart you can plug some of the bigger things like Google assistant or large AC adapters and still have plenty of room!!! 49 Items For Traveling Carry-On Only This Summer
A spacious backpack that'll fit under the seat in front of you and help you make the most of the "personal item" you're allowed along with your carry-on roller bag. This one is TikTok- and reviewer-famous for holding TONS of stuff, zipping completely open (like a suitcase!) for easy packing, and helping keep travelers organized. With some smart folding, you could pack for a week with just this, according to some reviewers! A Trtl travel pillow, a must for your upcoming multi-hour flights this summer, so you're actually rested when you get to your destination. Why waste precious carry-on space with bulky neck pillows when reviewers like this better?! It folds up thin and compact, and when you're ready to use, just wrap it around your neck — underneath the soft fleece is an internal support structure designed to keep your head in a comfy position for sleeping upright. Or a neck pillow you can stuff with clothing — clearly invented by a sneaky genius — to help you get some bonus outfits that don't fit in your suitcase past the gate agent whose eyes are *peeled* for people bringing on extra items. This is also a great way to keep your airplane sweatshirt or a change of clothes for when you land handy! A handy prefilled notepad so you can create a curated packing list even before you take a single item out. Using this as a guide can be helpful so you don't panic the morning you leave and try to shove in 25 pairs of extra undies and three sweatshirts at the last minute (is this just me??). Not forgetting anything and not overpacking — that's a win-win! A travel belt perfect for securing your weekender, tote, or duffel to your roller bag when you're not getting rid of luggage at check-in — especially for anything that doesn't have that convenient pass-through strap built in. Save your shoulder, free up that hand, and make sure your bag doesn't come tumbling off, even when you're rushing between gates to make that tight connection. A compact and collapsible water bottle, because it's incredibly easy to get dehydrated on a long-haul flight — especially when traveling during a heat wave — and airport water is shockingly expensive! You can keep it handy in an outer pocket of your carry-on bag or backpack so you can fill it with ease, without losing precious space. An AirFly Pro wireless transmitter so you don't need to pack (or, ew pay for) bulky old corded headphones on your next flight that don't even work with your phone and that you won't even use for the rest of your trip — wouldn't you rather use your AirPods or fancy Bluetooth noise-cancelling headphones anyway? And the bonus is it's way easier to get up to pee or let your neighbor by without dealing with unplugging headphones or tangled cords! A compact but surprisingly spacious belt bag for a bit of extra convenience and space-saving in your carry-on and personal item — and so you don't have to dig through your backpack for your AirPods halfway through the flight. The strap is adjustable, so you can wear it crossbody *or* around your waist, and you'll be surprised how much it holds! It's ideal for using on the trip itself too, so you can keep your hands free for your fan or water bottle as you rack up those thousands of steps. A super-concentrated soap perfect for when you're flying to a camping destination or going on a backpacking trip (at two ounces, it's a TSA-approved size!). You can use this effective all-purpose soap on your hands, body, hair, clothes, dishes, gear, and more (you just need a few drops)! A *truly teensy* mini white noise machine if you have trouble sleeping when in hotels or unfamiliar places. This palm-sized one is very carry-on (or even purse-/backpack-) friendly, too! It has 15 different nonlooping sounds (including white noise, fan, rain, and more), the charge lasts for days at a time, and it can — quite literally — fit in your pocket. A three-pack of travel pill organizers, each with eight compartments (six small, two large) so you can bring all of your meds and vitamins with you — without wasting space on a bunch of bulky bottles. Idk about you, but I need that space for all the Tums I need for those vacay so I can fit in that extra gelato. We were gone for 10 days and I had to pack dressy clothes, hiking clothes, clothes for the cold snowy mountains, and clothes for the warm May spring days touring Paris. I could NEVER have done it without these compression bags. I will always use these when I travel now. ALWAYS!!" —rmacGet a pack of 12 from Amazon for $9.99. Or from the sitting on the edge of a gorgeous Roman fountain... I've been using my Kindle Paperwhite (a previous generation) before bed for years — and after reading for a while, I turn down the brightness to a low level just slightly dimmer than I'd want — after a page or two, my brain goes "Nope!" and shuts off to sleep. AND it helps me not even start thinking the anxious or negative thoughts that *usually* keep me up at night. I recently got to upgrade to this new Kindle Paperwhite, and the warm light feature is a game-changer. And the page turns and responsiveness of this model are 20% faster — and I can really tell the difference compared to my old Kindle!Promising review: "I love this device. It's lightweight and easy to use. I wake up a lot in the middle of the night, and I like that I can read on this without waking up my partner. Acting NASA chief Sean Duffy to announce plans for building nuclear reactor on the moon
It's a power move. The Trump administration aims to accelerate the construction of a nuclear reactor on the moon, Transportation Secretary and acting NASA Administrator Sean Duffy wrote in a memo distributed internally on Monday. The space agency has previously explored the possibility of installing an electricity-generating nuclear reactor on the lunar surface capable of powering a sustained human presence, but Duffy intends to fast-track the project and more than double the reactor's power output, according to documents obtained by The Post. 3 Transportation Secretary and acting NASA Administrator Sean Duffy announced plans to build a nuclear reactor on the moon. AP Photo/George Walker IV Advertisement 'To properly advance this critical technology to be able to support a future lunar economy, high power energy generation on Mars, and to strengthen our national security in space, it is imperative the agency move quickly,' Duffy wrote in the memo. 'It is about winning the second space race,' a NASA senior official told Politico, which first reported on Duffy's plans. Duffy's directive will instruct NASA to seek out proposals for a 100-kilowatt nuclear reactor that would be ready for launch by 2030. Advertisement In 2022, NASA's 'Fission Surface Power Project' awarded design contracts for a 40-kilowatt nuclear reactor, which the agency said is capable of powering 33 households. If another country, such as China or Russia, were to build a reactor on the moon first, it could 'declare a keep-out zone which would significantly inhibit the United States,' Duffy's order noted. The directive calls for NASA to appoint a leader for the reactor project and to get private industry input within 60 days. 3 The planned reactor would be complete by 2030. IndustryAndTravel – Advertisement NASA will look for private spaceflight companies able to get the reactor to the moon by 2030, when China intends to launch a manned moon mission. President Trump named Duffy, 53, the acting head of NASA last month after he withdrew the nomination of billionaire Jared Isaacman, an ally of ex-DOGE chief Elon Musk. Every morning, the NY POSTcast offers a deep dive into the headlines with the Post's signature mix of politics, business, pop culture, true crime and everything in between. Subscribe here! The surprise move came in response to a 'review' of Isaacman's history, Trump said at the time. Advertisement Isaacman has donated tens of thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates and causes as recently as October 2024, when he gave more than $41,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Federal Election Commission records show. 3 A NASA senior official reportedly said the plan is about 'winning the second space race.' Alberto Ghizzi Panizza/ Duffy outlined NASA's ambitious objectives — to circle the moon, land and eventually build a base on the surface — last month in an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity. 'We're going to go back to the moon during Donald Trump's presidency,' he told Hannity. 'Next year … start of the year, we are going to go back to the moon. We're not going to land. We're going to go around the moon. And then about a year later, we're going to land back on the moon,' Duffy explained. 'And then after that, we're going to set up a base camp. 'We're going to stay on the moon, and what we learn on the moon is what's going to take us to Mars.' A spokesperson for NASA did not respond to The Post's request for comment.
