Bastille and Damon Albarn among artists announced for Brian Eno's Palestine gig
The music line-up includes Paloma Faith, Cat Burns, Hot Chip, James Blake, Greentea Peng, Jamie xx, King Krule, Mabel and Rachel Chinouriri.

Also playing are Obongjayar and Sampha as well as Palestinian artists Adnan Joubran, Faraj Suleiman and Nai Barghouti.
Pop stars Rina Sawayama and PinkPantheress and actor Riz Ahmed will take to the stage for one-off contributions.
Eno, 77, executive producer, said: 'In the face of the horrors of Gaza, silence becomes complicity. Artists have always helped societies to point out injustice and imagine better futures.
'That's why this concert matters. It's time for us to come together — not just to raise our voices but to reaffirm our shared humanity.'
Blur musician Albarn, 57, said: 'I, like everyone with a heart, have felt despair and helplessness at the reports coming out of Gaza and the West Bank over these last days, months and years.
'A genocide unfolding in real time on our screens. I come from a family of pacifists. I have been taught, and I believe, that pacifism is an action. Peace is an action.
'To live peacefully requires vision and commitment. To act with humanity towards one another, that too is a decision. Music has taken me around the world, it is the sum of everything I know and trust and believe in – respect, collaboration, shared experience.
'I am grateful for this opportunity to act in solidarity with the Palestinian people and also celebrate the music and culture from the region. I hope everyone will join us.'
The production design is being led by artist and designer Es Devlin in collaboration with Palestinian artist Malak Mattar.
Devlin said: 'Palestinian painters are producing some of the most powerful, beautiful and resonant works I have witnessed. I feel honoured to collaborate with Malak Mattar and a group of seminal Palestinian visual artists on a stage that will express the rich beauty of Palestinian culture.'
The Together For Palestine gig will raise money for UK charity Choose Love and 100% of ticket sales will go to support Palestinian-led organisations providing humanitarian relief.
More talent will be announced in the coming weeks.
Together For Palestine comes to the OVO Arena Wembley on September 17 2025.

He claimed on two separate occasions bags of white power, suspected to be cocaine, were found in a smoking area and also in the men's toilets. And the ex-production crew member alleges one of the Strictly stars offered him cocaine at a Blackpool show after-party. We have passed on his allegations to the BBC. Now, in the latest claims, the long-serving former production crew member, told The Sun on Sunday: 'Strictly is full of partying and drug -taking. BBC launches inquiry into damning allegations of drug consumption on flagship show Strictly Come Dancing 'The main partying is on site at Elstree after filming of the live show has finished. Boozing and drug taking goes on until 3am, sometimes 4am. 'The smoking area outside is a hive of activity. Cocaine gets taken there. 'I remember a bag of cocaine was found in the outside smoking area at Elstree and handed in to a senior producer. That person said, 'Leave it on my desk', no eyebrows were raised. 'On another occasion, a small bag of cocaine was found in the male toilets at Elstree. It was widely discussed by people working on the show. 'But in some ways it was seen as quite normal, to find that sort of thing. "People think they can get away with it.' Strictly is full of partying and drug taking Whistleblower The whistleblower came forward after reading our story last Sunday and learning of the BBC-led inquiry. He claimed the annual show filmed at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom was 'a particularly big celebration' for the cast and crew. He said: 'Blackpool was always a big party night. I was offered cocaine by a star at an after-show party. Lots of people would go back to the hotel. 'It was a closed-off party, just for the cast and crew. It went on until 5am, even to 6am, it was insane. People were wired and you could see it in their eyes. 'There was lots of champagne and Prosecco too, loads of bottles of it.' He added that he thought it was 'well known' on the programme that one of the stars took cocaine, and that he felt they needed help. He said: 'They had a real problem with cocaine, lots of people spoke about it.' Referring to these latest allegations, a BBC spokesman said: 'We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. It came as the BBC is prepared to launch its 23rd series of Strictly next month. The Corporation is hoping for a scandal-free show after previous ones were hit by numerous controversies. They included Sherlock actress Amanda Abbington accusing Giovanni Pernice of bullying her and Graziano Di Prima being sacked for kicking his celebrity partner Zara McDermott. Last weekend, The Sun on Sunday revealed drugs allegations were made in a legal submission to the BBC in March, by law firm Russells, on behalf of celebrity contestant Wynne Evans — who was axed from the Strictly live tour after he was recorded making an inappropriate sexual comment. It was understood others have also reported to the BBC allegations of drug taking on Strictly. A source said: 'It's been an extremely difficult time for everyone connected to Strictly but, to be fair, the BBC acted promptly on The Sun's drug allegations and brought in external lawyers to help with their investigation. 'They're clearly determined to clean up the show, which of course is a hugely popular family show, so it's no real surprise they are taking these allegations seriously and holding a proper inquiry. Kneecap forced to cancel upcoming concert over safety concerns as they make statement
The rap trio from Belfast have cancelled an upcoming performance in mainland Europe due to 'acute safety concerns', after facing legal action following their gig at Glastonbury Belfast rap trio Kneecap have announced the cancellation of their first headline show in Vienna, citing "acute safety concerns" raised by local authorities. The group, who are known for their politically charged lyrics and outspoken support for Palestine, told fans they were sorry for the last-minute change. The cancellation affects a performance that was scheduled for September 1 at the Gasometer Vienna. In a statement shared on social media on Friday, the trio wrote: "Our planned show in Vienna on September 1st is cancelled. To the 3500 people we were looking forward to seeing at our first headline show in Vienna, we are sorry: this is out of our hands. All tickets will be refunded. Yet again, it is clear that this is political distraction and a further attempt to silence those who call out genocide against the Palestinian people. But as always, we will fight on for what is right." It comes as Israel has issued a chilling deadline for a million Palestinians to flee Gaza. The cancellation is the latest in a string of setbacks for the band. Kneecap were banned from entering Hungary in July ahead of a scheduled performance at the Sziget Festival on August 11. Other recent cancellations include appearances at TRNSMT festival in Glasgow and the Eden Project in Cornwall. Kneecap is made up of Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh (Mo Chara), Naoise Ó Cairealláin (Móglaí Bap) and JJ Ó Dochartaigh (DJ Próvaí). The band formed in Belfast in 2017 and built a following with their Irish-language rap. They have faced mounting controversy over recent months due to some of their political statements. In May, Mo Chara was charged with a terrorism offence over allegedly displaying a Hizbullah flag during a London performance in November 2024. He denies the charges. He and his bandmates were met by hundreds of cheering supporters when they appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court in June. Several musicians, including Nadine Shah and Gurriers, have pledged to attend court when he returns on August 20. Kneecap have denied supporting either Hamas or Hizbullah. Recently, the trio also apologised to the families of murdered MPs after resurfaced footage from a November 2023 concert in which a band member appeared to say: "The only good Tory is a dead Tory. Kill your local MP." The group also recently faced a police investigation into their set at Glastonbury Festival in June. Avon and Somerset Police initially launched an inquiry following complaints over on-stage comments, but later confirmed no further action would be taken. Kneecap described the investigation as "political" and "state intimidation", and have accused authorities of damaging their reputation before privately dropping the case. Current UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer previously said he did not think the rap trio should have been asked to perform at Glastonbury, telling The Sun: "I think we need to come down really clearly on this. A note on the venues website said: 'Racoon Live Entertainment GmbH hereby cancels the planned Kneecap show on September 1, 2025, at the Gasometer Vienna due to acute safety concerns raised by the responsible authorities.' Kneecap, comprised of Liam Og O hAnnaidh, Naoise O Caireallain and JJ O Dochartaigh, were formed in Belfast and released their first single in 2017. They hit headlines in April when footage emerged that appeared to show a band member saying 'Kill your local MP' at one gig and and 'Up Hamas, up Hezbollah' at another. In May, O hAnnaidh, who performs under the name Mo Chara, was charged with a terrorism offence relating to allegedly displaying a flag in support of Hezbollah at a London gig in November 2024. O hAnnaidh and his bandmates were cheered by hundreds of supporters when they arrived at Westminster Magistrates' Court on June 18. Musicians including Nadine Shah and Gurriers have said they will attend court to support the group when O hAnnaidh returns on August 20. Kneecap have apologised to the families of murdered MPs and said they have 'never supported' Hamas or Hezbollah, which are banned in the UK. They were also investigated over their set at Glastonbury Festival in June, but Avon and Somerset Police said they would be taking no further action in July.
