Ahead of ground breaking ceremony: Set up 10 anchor units under industrial policies, create 78K acre land bank, says CS Manoj Kumar Singh
Chief secretary Manoj Kumar Singh has issued directives to expedite investment projects and prepare eligible projects for the upcoming Ground-Breaking Ceremony (GBC) as part of the state's push towards a $1 trillion economy.
Singh, while chairing a review meeting at Lok Bhawan, here on Tuesday, instructed departments to establish at least 10 anchor units under various industrial policies and ensure the timely inclusion of eligible projects in the GBC.
He emphasised refining policies in consultation with industry associations and stakeholders to foster a more investor-friendly environment. Departments have been asked to create a 78,000-acre land bank by utilising LDA land, under-utilised department land, and land from sick units. District magistrates and VCs have been tasked with meeting specific land allocation targets.
Singh also stressed regular updates on the PM Gati Shakti portal to streamline project execution and directed departments to actively utilise the platform for gap analysis and data management.
Invest UP CEO Vijay Kiran Anand reviewed projects exceeding ₹200 crore and urged departments to expedite account management and maintain consistent coordination at the ACS and PS levels. He emphasised effective implementation of 34 operational policies to improve the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) for existing and prospective investors.
The officials from key sectors, including UPNEDA, IT & Electronics, tourism, textile, horticulture, dairy, MSME, civil aviation, and UPSIDA, attended the meeting.

ETtech Live Events An analysis of the lowest (L1) prices released by the IndiaAI Mission for the second round of the tender for graphics processing units (GPU) shows an up to 10% fall in prices compared with the first first-round bidders will be asked to match these prices, resulting in substantial savings for the users. The offering comprises 15,100 H100 Nvidia GPUs , 8,192 Nvidia B200 GPUs, 4,812 Nvidia H200 GPUs, and 1,973 Nvidia L40S GPUs.'The combination of reduced L1 rates and government support will help kickstart pilot projects in various domains, enabling more organisations to experiment with and scale AI use cases that previously may have been cost-prohibitive,' said Rishikesh Kamat, senior director, Cloud services division, at NTT Data India , one of the seven empanelled bidders in round Bairathi, chief executive of Cyfuture India, another empanelled bidder in round two, warned of lower prices creating problems for the nascent industry.'It's advantageous for users but is concerning for service providers, as a price bloodbath is on," he said. Moreover, it would be even more fatal for companies if workloads as envisaged by the IndiaAI Mission don't come through, he average L1 hourly GPU price was Rs 612.85 in the first round of empanelment against an average Rs 655.90 in the second round of empanelment. While there has been a decline in price for the same GPUs between the two rounds, the average is higher in the second round because of newer categories of GPUs.

New Delhi EV policy to be out by July-end: Transport minister
Transport minister Pankaj Singh announced on Tuesday that all bus queue shelters in the city will be revamped within the next 100 days and the new electric vehicle (EV) policy will also be introduced by the end of July after being approved by the cabinet. The announcement comes after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Delhi government completed 100 days in the national Capital. Singh was present at Urban Adda 2025, a three-day conference hosted by Raahgiri Foundation, and co-hosted by GuruJal and International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) India, from June 3 (World Bicycle Day) to June 5 (World Environment Day). HT is the media partner for the event. 'We have already floated tenders and the work will begin soon. Within the next 100 days, we will revamp all bus queue shelters that will have shaded waiting areas, drinking water facility, and sitting space,' he said. Singh said that other commuter-centric efforts are being made to make Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses comfortable and user-friendly while a full-scale route rationalisation is being planned to ensure that government buses can cater to areas across the city. 'The DTC routes were last rationalised about 20-25 years ago and there are many routes now where buses run without any commuters. At other places, last mile connectivity is also a big concern that we are trying to resolve with the Devi (Delhi electric vehicle interconnector) buses. We are addressing all these gaps and will add more electric buses, both big and small. These routes were decided when Delhi was within the Ring Road while the city has expanded far beyond now,' the minister said. He said that all new buses are equipped with CCTV cameras along with GPS to ensure the safety of passengers. While 800 more buses will be added to the DTC fleet by the end of June, over 8,000 new buses are expected by the end of this year, Singh added. About the new EV policy for Delhi, the transport minister said the draft will soon be finalised. 'Experts are working on the EV policy. We will implement it by the end of next month after cabinet approval. I can assure that it will be beneficial for all segments of society,' he added. To recall, the transport department highlighted in the previous week its achievement of the first 100 days of BJP governance and mentioned the launch of Devi bus service. Additionally, DTC is undergoing technological overhaul such as starting UPI and card-based automated fare collection system. Charging infrastructure is also being expanded with over 40 under construction public depots for EVs and a new bus terminal in Narela. In the transport department, AI-based transport documents verification has been initiated and an automated vehicle testing centre was started with a capacity to test over 72,000 vehicles annually. Meanwhile, the minister also presented the draft cabinet note for Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (UMTA) and Urban Transport Fund (UTF) that is expected to soon be submitted for approval, officials said. The department has also installed automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras at over 500 petrol pumps to help issuing challans related to pollution and end-of-life vehicles.

Dist wise review of Udyami Mitras, DICs to boost investments
Lucknow: To boost investments and ensure effective ground-level implementation of industrial projects, Invest UP — the nodal agency for investment promotion in Uttar Pradesh — initiated a comprehensive review of Udyami Mitras and Deputy Commissioners of District Industries Promotion Entrepreneurship Development Centres (DICs). It will continue until July 8. "The initiative reflects upon the state's unwavering commitment to accelerating industrial development and realising the ambitious vision of becoming a one trillion dollar economy. At the heart of this exercise are 115 Udyami Mitras, who serve as dedicated facilitators across all districts and industrial development authorities. "Their role includes connecting investors with govt systems, easing navigation through policies, supporting land acquisition, and ensuring the timely execution of industrial projects," an official spokesperson said. In the exercise, representatives from three districts are making presentations in a standardised format. It covers key areas like the status of land inventories and sick industrial units, progress made in investment facilitation and project execution, challenges faced on digital platforms such as Nivesh Mitra, and data-driven insights along with proposed action plans for further improvement. "This is the first time DIC officials are participating directly in such an extensive review, marking a significant step toward enhanced interdepartmental coordination. Speaking on the initiative, the chief secretary said: "Udyami Mitras play a critical role in investor facilitation on the ground. This systematic review will help identify gaps, build stronger district-level strategies, and reinforce Uttar Pradesh's position as a premier investment destination."
