Trigger Warning: This article includes references to sexual assault.
A supporter of Sean Diddy Combs was escorted out of the courtroom on June 3 as his s*x trafficking trial continued in New York. The woman, who had watched the proceedings from an overflow room, disrupted the main courtroom by shouting at the defense team and the rapper himself. Court officers quickly intervened, and order was restored within minutes.
The outburst occurred as Combs sat alongside his lawyers. According to NBC News, the supporter shouted, "Everyone is laughing at Diddy," and "It's not right what they're doing to him!" She also yelled directly at Combs, "People are trying to do you wrong." Her remarks briefly halted testimony, drawing attention from jurors and legal staff.
What sparked the courtroom disturbance?
Before the supporter was removed, she voiced concern over the trial, which has drawn widespread media coverage. Observers stated that her emotional plea was driven by loyalty to Sean Diddy Combs and frustration with the trial's direction. After the woman was led away, the trial proceedings resumed without further interruptions.
The removal of the supporter paved the way for former InterContinental Hotel security supervisor Eddy Garcia to testify. Garcia testified under an immunity order and described a 2016 incident involving Combs and ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. He alleged that Combs approached him to secure hotel surveillance footage showing Ventura being assaulted.
Garcia told the court, "He kept repeating that I sounded like a good guy and said I could help with the video footage. He said it would ruin his career."
According to Garcia, he lacked credentials to access the server room, but after reporting Combs's request to his supervisor, he was handed a USB drive containing the footage. He gave the memory card to Combs and signed a non-disclosure agreement with a USD 1 million penalty.
The former security supervisor continued, "I apologized and told him I was only a security officer and didn't have access. I did not have the credentials to get to the server room where the original footage was."
He added that Combs gave him USD 100,000 to be split between him and two other hotel employees. "We walked to my vehicle and he asked me how I was going to spend the money," Garcia said. "I said I didn't know, and he said, 'Don't make big purchases.' I thought it meant he didn't want to draw attention."
Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges including s*x trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The testimony regarding the hotel footage is part of a broader narrative about alleged attempts to suppress evidence. Prosecutors aim to show a pattern of behavior involving coercion and concealment.

Snoop Dogg film to be directed by Craig Brewer

ANI Published 7 Jun 2025, 09:20 AM IST Washington DC [US], June 7 (ANI): Craig Brewer, known for helming such films as 'Hustle & Flow' and 'Dolemite Is My Name', is set to direct the biopic of Snoop Dogg. Universal Pictures has set Craig Brewer to film the definitive biography of Snoop Dogg's rise from hip-hop artist to renowned entertainment magnate. Brewer will contribute revisions to a script previously written by Joe Robert Cole. The film will be produced by Snoop Dogg, Brian Grazer and Death Row Pictures president Sara Ramaker. SVP Production Development Ryan Jones will oversee the project for the studio, reported Deadline. The Snoop Dogg film marks the first movie under Death Row Pictures' overall contract with NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios. It is an offshoot of Death Row Records, the label that established Snoop Dogg's career and is now embarking on an ambitious new chapter with the expansion. The strategic shift strengthens the brand's reach beyond music, ushering in a new era of imaginative on-screen storytelling. Universal has found success in the historical hip hop space with the F. Gary Gray-directed Straight Outta Compton, the story of the seminal rap group N.W.A film that was nominated for a Best Screenplay Oscar and grossed more than USD 200 million. Before that came 8 Mile, which starred Eminem in a drama based on his life and rise. Grazer produced that film, which grossed USD 250 million and won an Original Song Oscar for "Lose Yourself." Death Row's upcoming slate of projects starts with the Snoop Dogg biopic. Beyond film, Snoop will return to NBC's musical competition series The Voice this fall, reclaiming his red chair for Season 28. On top of that, he will continue to partner with NBCUniversal on cross-portfolio opportunities; he was a breakout star on NBC and Peacock's coverage of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, reported Deadline. Be stakeholders in Viksit Bharat vision: UMoS Defence

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government is working tirelessly with a vision to create a strong, self-reliant and self-sufficient developed country for future generations. While addressing the media during his visit to the BJP State Headquarters on Friday, the Minister noted that the Modi-3.0 administration will complete one year on June 9. Over the past 11 years, the government has operated with the motto 'Nation First,' aligned with the Viksit Bharat 2047 agenda. He emphasised that India has surpassed Japan and is now the fourth-largest economy in the world. Economists project that India could become the third largest economy, surpassing Germany, with a five trillion USD economy by 2027. Sanjay Seth urged BJP party activists and the public to actively participate in the Viksit Bharat agenda. He pointed out that previously, India was a major importer of defense equipment and had not achieved self-reliance in fulfilling a significant portion of its defense needs through domestic production. However, the country is now exporting defense equipment to around 90 countries. He highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the Indian defense forces demonstrated their valor during Operation Sindoor, which successfully destroyed nine terrorist hubs inside Pakistan in just 22 minutes. This operation showcases India's military prowess and the preparedness of its forces. Additionally, the Minister mentioned the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative, which involves the mass plantation of saplings across the country. He said that Tiranga Yatras are being organised even in villages, as the local populations wished to express their support for the soldiers guarding the borders thousands of miles away. Earlier, during a meeting with senior leaders of the state party, BJP National Vice-President and Mahbubnagar MP DK Aruna honored Sanjay Seth for his contributions.

Sean ‘Diddy' ignored pleas for escorts to use condoms, ex-girlfriend tells court in sex trafficking trial

Sean 'Diddy' Combs twice rebuffed a former girlfriend's requests that male entertainers wear condoms when having sex with her as Combs watched, the woman said on Friday during a testimony at the music mogul's sex trafficking trial. According to a Reuters report, the woman said that Combs would 'guilt trip' her when she asked that the entertainers wear condoms during their frequent and lengthy sexual encounters. The woman is testifying under the pseudonym Jane to protect her privacy, the report said. These sexual interactions resembled what another one of Comb's exes, Casandra Ventura, referred to as 'Freak Offs' during her testimony last month, it added. An audio clip heard by the jurors in the Manhatten federal court trial recorded Combs intervening after Jane asked a male entertainer named Don if he had a condom. As the recording was played, Combs rapidly tapped his fingers against his leg while seated at the defence table, the Reuters report said. "Why didn't you just insist that Don wear a condom?" prosecutor Maurene Comey asked. "Because I just didn't want to disappoint my lover," Jane responded, referring to Combs. Jane said she and Combs dated from 2021 through 2024. Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to five felony counts including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. Prosecutors say he coerced women over two decades to take part in elaborate, drug-fueled sexual performances during Freak Offs over two decades, the report said. The Bad Boy Records founder's defense lawyers have acknowledged that Combs was occasionally abusive in domestic relationships, but say the women who took part in 'Freak Offs' did so consensually. During the first day of her testimony on Thursday, Jane said she was 'head over heels' for Combs and wanted to have a one-on-one relationship with him, but that starting five months into their relationship most of their time together involved sexual interactions with male escorts in hotels. Jane said that when she told Combs she wanted those encounters to stop, he threatened to stop paying her rent. On Friday, Jane frequently sobbed and dabbed her eyes with a tissue as she told jurors how Combs would encourage her to keep going even after she grew tired during the encounters, which she said often lasted 24 hours or more, the Reuters report added. In one instance, which Jane recounted during the trial, she said she broke down crying after Combs said he had to leave following an encounter with an entertainer, despite having promised Jane a one-on-one date night and that the entertainer would be there for 'just a little bit'. "I hung onto those words, just a little bit," Jane said. "I was feeling terrible that he was going to leave me alone."
