Sharjah Ruler approves grant for families with AED 17500 monthly
Maryam bint Majid Al Shamsi, who heads the Sharjah Social Services Department, announced an important new initiative during an interview on the "Direct Line" program. This program will provide financial assistance to 3,162 families with two or more members who are registered with the department. The goal is to help these families increase their monthly income to AED 17,500, which is seen as a reasonable standard of living.

Sheikh Sultan directs implementation of Al Shanoof power transmission station
In implementation of the directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) is continuing the execution of the Al Shanoof Power Transmission Station project, with a cost of Dhs190 million. The station is the largest in Al Mehathab district and will serve 20,000 residential units. This was announced by Engineer Abdullah Al Kous, Deputy Director of the Power Transmission Department at SEWA, during the "Direct Line" programme aired on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, hosted by media man Mohammed Al Rayaissi. Engineer Al Kous stated that the station project is being implemented in collaboration with Siemens, utilising the latest technologies. Upon its completion in the third quarter of 2026, the station will significantly enhance electricity services across the emirate.
