Volvo India Added New Electric Mid-Size SUV To Fleet, Check Expected Price And Launch Details
Last Updated: Interested customers will be able to pre-book the EV from August 20, 2025, by paying a fully refundable token amount. The Swedish carmaker Volvo has been making efforts in the Indian market to enhance its product line lately. To capture the mass market, the company has introduced a new offering called EX30, an electric mid-size SUV. The model is scheduled to be launched in the country by the end of September, while deliveries are expected to start at the beginning of October this year. Interested customers will be able to pre-book the EV from August 20, 2025, by paying a fully refundable token amount. Expected Price The company has not revealed the price details as of now. However, it is highly expected that it might fall somewhere between Rs 45 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. Scroll down to see the road, presence, and some of the important key details of EX30. Road Presence Aesthetically, EX30 comes with the company's signature style statement from the front fascia, featuring a futuristic, fully LED headlight setup, paired with integrated DRLs. The road presence surely is a head-turner, a big thanks to sloping rooflines and bold yet sophisticated design from the outside. At the rear, the company tried something experimental, and somehow succeeded by giving a latest design taillight with a connected light bar. Chrome-finished 'Volvo' lettering has been given at the centre, while EX-30 badging shines below on the left side. Features When it comes to the features, the list is quite long. From a massive panoramic sunroof to active high beam to NFC key card, it has it all. To make it as militaristic as possible, the brand has used only a single display unit that controls almost everything inside the cabin. Battery, Power, Range, And Top Speed At the heart, EX30 comes with a 69 kWh single motor version only. It will be offered in a rear-wheel drive system, which will generate a maximum power of 268 BHP and a robust 343 Nm of peak torque. These figures allow the EV to do a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 5.3 seconds with a top speed of 180 km/h. As far as the range is concerned, the company claims that the battery is powerful enough to offer an impressive WLTP range of 480 km on a single charge. Amazon Could Launch A Budget Kindle E-Reader With Colour Display
Amazon Colorsoft was introduced last year but its price suggest the company wants to bring a cheaper option. Amazon introduced its first Colorsoft Kindle e-reader last year and we could soon get a cheaper e-reader variant from the company with support for coloured elements. Amazon has not confirmed these plans yet but a prototype of the supposed new Kindle variant has been spotted on tech forums in the last few days. The post from the tipster shares details about the screen size and its possible launch price which should have many people excited. Coloured e-readers don't come cheap but Amazon could make it possible with its new Kindle model. The new Kindle variant leaked comes with the name Kindle Petit Color which suggests its focus on having a colour e-ink display to read material besides the regular novels and PDFs. The word Petit means small, and the tipster hints the Petit Color Kindle to feature a smaller screen than the regular Kindle Paperwhite model. The first Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition was launched at $279.99 (Rs 24,500 approx) so the Petit Color should be priced under $200 (Rs 16,800 approx) which will make it a viable product to launch in markets like India, where Amazon skipped launching the premium version last year. Some might say that having coloured screen on an e-reader completely goes against the logic of having these devices but with the market mature for anime and Manga content, there is a definite case for coloured e-readers to stick around and cater to the needs of these consumers. Amazon's Kindle launches have been muted in India over the last few years. But the company finally brought its latest Kindle Paperwhite to the country with the promise of a faster processor that improves your reading experience and longer battery life. It comes in a single 16GB storage variant and priced in India at Rs 16,999 for the single black colour option. view comments First Published: August 18, 2025, 11:35 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
