10 hours a day, live: How streamer Aussie Antics plans to be set by 35

It took 68 minutes into my lunch with Shaun Cochrane to actually understand what he does for a living. I mean, really understand. I'm only a little embarrassed to admit this, given I organised the whole thing.
The 31-year-old, six-foot-something native of Sydney's Sutherland Shire streams video games online under the alias Aussie Antics. He has amassed millions of dedicated followers doing so, and his face and voice are associated in particular with the global phenomenon that is video game Fortnite.

Metallica rumoured for 2026 Las Vegas residency at Sphere

Metallica are rumoured to be "ready to ink a deal" for a residency at Las Vegas' Sphere in 2026. Sin City publication Vital Vegas made the claim after lead guitarist Kirk Hammett revealed the heavy metal legends are eager to play the state-of-the-art venue on The Strip. Although "specifics haven't been confirmed or announced yet", it's been suggested they 'could play Sphere in the fall of 2026', after they wrap their M72 world tour. The Enter Sandman rockers would love to stage a "crazy experience" at the futuristic venue - which is renowned for its immersive video and audio capabilities, including a giant wraparound LED screen - and embrace all it has to offer. Asked about the possibility recently, Hammett told The Hollywood Reporter: "Oh, heck, yeah! That's a great example of how venues are changing. That's using modern technology to the fullest, to really up the levels of production and entertainment, connected to AI and making it a crazy experience." The group have always embraced changes in technology, including appearing in Fortnite and staging an immersive concert with Apple Vision Pro., and Kirk warned other artists need to do the same or risk being "exploited". He said: "The formats and venues just keep on coming. Ten years ago, I didn't know we would be characters in a Fortnite game or that Apple would create VR headsets that can bring you literally right in front of the performer or the athlete. We didn't see any of this coming. "We came up in a very traditional fashion where the platforms were albums, cassettes, CDs. You had nightclubs and theaters and arenas and stadiums. And you had radio. Then MTV showed up, and that became a different format. "But for decades and decades, that's all you had. Now every decade that comes by, there are four new platforms and new venues. Even the venues themselves are changing. "It's important to pay attention to all this stuff, because if you don't apply yourself in a responsible fashion, someone else is going to do it for you, and you're going to be on the exploited end. If you're not paying attention, then stuff like Napster happens. It's not for me to say, but that's something to ponder." Despite the huge venues they play, the group are always looking for ways to connect with fans, particularly those they recognise from previous tours. Kirk said: "We used to go out on stage with the lights still on so we can see everyone. We'd play or jam on some unrecorded song, and then, boom! The lights go off, and the show would begin. It's a way for us to connect without playing our instruments or having a wall of sound out there... "It's our time to do exactly that, recognise and acknowledge all the faces, the regulars who are at every single freaking show, or have been to the last six shows, or whatever it is. We use that time to acknowledge them, and they acknowledge us. 'Great to see you. You're here at the show, right on, let's rock out. Let's all have fun again.'"

Marvel's new Fantastic Four film and video game Fortnite's collaboration goes horribly wrong in X-rated blunder

The internet loves a good marketing blunder, and the latest collaboration with Marvel's newest movie and popular video game Fortnite have delivered one of the worst errors. Ahead of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the main ensemble has been hyped to receive their own character skins in the wildly popular video game, allowing gamers to play as their favourite characters. Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and the Thing are all set to be introduced into the gameplay, however it hasn't taken long at all for some fans to brutally expose a crude editorial loophole ahead of the promo. 'Fantastic Four skins are coming to Fortnite,' gaming website said in its announcement of the news. A post that has been seen by 17.3 million people. Cue the hysteria. 'Do not google fantastic four skins,' one user replied, 'There has got to be a better way to say that,' another said. 'Marketing didn't think that through,' another added. One simply said: 'Fantastic… what?' The genitalia reference is in jest as skins are the gaming term for the outfit or look that changes the appearance of a character's player in the popular game, providing different animations and abilities. Various other Marvel characters have appeared in Fortnite over the years but this is the first time the FF family will be integrated after the company finally bought back the movie rights from Sony. And while neither Marvel nor Fortnite have promoted their collaboration with that exact phrasing taking the internet by storm, the situation has certainly lended itself to online trolls. Stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are currently in Australia for the premiere of the new movie, Marvel Studio's first delve into the characters despite three other films previously from rival studios. Pascal leads the pack as Reed Richards with Kirby his on screen wife Sue Storm as Quinn and Moss-Bachrach round out the foursome (no, not like that) as Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm. The film's stars were also recently in the UK for the London premiere and Berlin. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is expected to be a return to form for Marvel who have struggled since the end of the main superhero saga in 2019 with Avenger's Endgame. Fortnite also recently integrate the films competition, David Corenswet's Superman released on July 10, into their game in collaboration with DC and Warner Bros. There is no official release date for the new character skins but they are rumoured to release in the coming days simultaneous with the film.

Kim Kardashian's son Saint appears to hack her Instagram to ask for YouTube followers and freebies

Kim Kardashian's son Saint West appeared to hack his mother's phone to ask for free toys and more subscribers to his YouTube channel. The cheeky nine year old first took to his mum's Instagram account this week to encourage her 356 million followers to subscribe to his YouTube channel. He shared a picture of his Roblox YouTube account handle on her Instagram stories, and wrote: "Subscribe to Saint's YouTube channel." However, since the post, his YouTube channel appears to have been taken down. When trying to access the channel on the YouTube website, a message reads: "This page isn't available. Sorry about that. "Try searching for something else." Saint also took the opportunity to ask Pop Mart for some Labubus, a brand of collectible plush toy monster elves. The Chinese toy maker, which is behind the viral products, wrote on Kim's Instagram: "Hey Saint, while you still have your moms phone can you reply to her DM's real fast." Saint replied: "hey it's Saint i got my moms phone can i get some giant labubus and some rainbow teeth ones pls. (sic)" But this isn't the first time Saint has appeared to hack Kim's phone, and nor is it the first time his YouTube channel has been taken down. Speaking about Saint previously hacking her account, she said on the What In The Winkler? podcast: "Like when Saint took my phone and posted... and my publicist is writing me like 'This is what you're posting on Election Day?' "And I was like, 'It's a kid. He has no idea.' " At the time, Saint was trying to promote his Fortnite account, but he shared two anti-Kamala Harris videos in the process. Kim explained: "He like reposted a video, something about the election, and I took his account down just because he has to ask me before every post. "So he's just started a Fortnite account, and I'm like... you have got to give yourself grace." But Kim insisted she has to discipline her children, otherwise they won't learn any lessons. She said: "If I don't do this now and fight through the tears, as uncomfortable as that is, then they are always going to get their way. The lesson won't be learned."
