Jessie J reveals what happened after 'struggling' during Baftas performance
Jessie J has explained why she found her Bafta TV Awards 2025 set a challenge.
Last night, the Price Tag singer, 37, sang on TV for the first time in six years with song The Awards Goes To.
But hours after the annual awards ceremony wrapped, Jessie revealed she had found her performance a 'struggle.'
On Instagram, Jessie said she had been suffering from acid reflux, which affected her vocals.
The Bang Bang sinder explained: 'My acid reflux about 2 hours before my performance on the BAFTAs tonight said 'HELLO JESS.'
'People who know how that is (or singers) I'm sure could see me struggling, but I threw the mic stand and pushed through.'
The NHS states that heartburn is a burning feeling in the chest caused by stomach acid travelling up towards the throat (acid reflux). If it keeps happening, it may be called gastro-oesophageal reflux disease.
The health body suggested eating smaller more frequent meals, losing weight if you're overweight, and finding ways to relax to stop or reduce heartburn.
'I love life. It's never perfect, but it is real. Grateful to be back and remembering how mad and magical this whole thing is. There is no hiding in these streets.'
Jessie previously described her Bafta performance as an 'honour'.
In a statement, she shared: 'I haven't sung on British television in years. What a way to come back, it's an honour. But who will the award go to, that's the question.'
Singer-songwriter Tom Grennan, 29, also performed at the awards bash.

In December, it was revealed that Jessie banked over £7,000,000 in pop earnings last year despite not releasing any new music in three years.
She made an astonishing £7.6million, equating to almost £28,000 per day.
The figures were lodged at Companies House and take her ongoing earnings at Who You Are Ltd and Who You Are Touring Ltd to £9.9million.
Jessie banked the large pay cheque despite not releasing any new music since 2021 single I Want Love.
It comes after the singer's decision to cut ties with record label Republic and manage her own career. More Trending
She has been signed to the company for 17 years, releasing her big hits like Price Tag and Domino through them.
Posting the news on Instagram lin 2023, Jessie explained that she was keen for there to 'not be a negative spin' on the news as there was 'nothing but good vibes', and so had decided to show her face while making the statement that her lawyer was recommending.
'I've just been texting my lawyer and he said that I needed to write a statement about this decision that I have made,' she said.

New interactive map reveals the Scottish locations behind hit songs
A new interactive map containing hundreds of places featured in the songs, music artwork and music videos of Britain's favourite artists has been released by National Rail - with places across Edinburgh and Glasgow featured. The new map features locations across Edinburgh and Glasgow with a connection to iconic artists such as The Proclaimers, Jockstrap, Abba, The Fall, Passenger and more. Locations such as Leigh, Killermont Street and Byres Road feature - revealing the stories connecting these Scottish spots to famous artists. The map has been released alongside new research showing the deep-rooted connection between music and those who reside in Scotland.
