Fans think they spotted huge clue to Taylor Swift's new era at Cardiff show
Fans think they spotted huge clue to Taylor Swift's new era at Cardiff show Fans believe that there were several hints dropped specifically around the Cardiff show during the Eras Tour which were never accidental Taylor Swift (Image: 2024 TASRM and Getty Images) If you've been anywhere near the internet recently, you might have seen that Taylor Swift's newly announced album has got more than just a few people talking. And Swifties are pointing to her Eras Tour stop in Cardiff as one of the clearest Easter eggs she left ahead of the news and if they're correct, the clues were hiding in plain sight. In her final Instagram post marking the end of the tour in December 2024, Taylor shared a playful photo of herself squeezed inside the "cleaning cart" which she used to secretly reach the stage each night. But many fans noticed that inside the cart sat a framed picture of Cardiff Bay. At first it seemed like an unusual detail, but once the new album announcement arrived, lots of people started talking about whether it was Taylor planting hints months in advance. As Mamamia pointed out, during her only Welsh date, Taylor debuted a bold orange-and-green combination - which appears to be the new theme for her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, for the 1989 portion of the show which was a look that hadn't been seen before on the tour. She doubled down on the colour choice by wearing an orange dress again for her 'surprise songs' set during the same show. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter Capital FM has also reminded fans that the Cardiff concert was also her 103rd show of the tour which is a number that immediately triggered "10/3" theories about a possible connection with October 3. Article continues below They noted: "While we were all scrambling to find Rep (TV) easter eggs at the 100th and 113th shows on the European leg and waiting for the double green 1989 combo, it looks like we should have had an eye on the 103rd show!" While speculation initially swirled around other milestone performances like the 100th and 113th shows, the Welsh date now looks more significant in hindsight, especially given how prominently it featured in The Eras Tour Book. One photograph even shows Taylor riding inside the cart with the same image of Cardiff Bay taped to its side, reinforcing the impression that placing the picture there was an intentional move. BuzzFeed also highlighted how the Cardiff image became a talking point online with fans pointing out the coincidence between the unusual colour scheme and the photo hidden inside the cart. The platform wrote: 'In the photo, there was, strangely, a photo of Cardiff, Wales, and people couldn't figure out why exactly she chose not only to keep it in there, but to highlight it. 'Well, Taylor had a rotating arsenal of outfits on her tour (so many that it sparked a massive, fantasy football-style game amongst fans), and what colours did she wear in Cardiff? '"As Twitter user @ia1mostdo pointed out, it was none other than the orange and green 1989 set and the orange surprise song dress." Social media has also been full of speculation from Swifties who have been trying to pull all of the pieces together. Content cannot be displayed without consent One user, @swiftieinkc said: 'So basically the entirety of the Cardiff show was one gigantic Easter egg for TS12, and we knew it.' Someone else added: 'When Cardiff didn't realise we were the ultimate Easter Egg.' Another fan on X, formerly known as Twitter also added: "Taylor having Cardiff in the cleaning car makes sense suddenly…' Article continues below

A world-famous techno fest returns to Brooklyn this fall with Sven Väth, Trym and more
The 'Glastonbury of Techno' is making its way back to New York and it's ready to shake the walls of Brooklyn. Time Warp, the globe-trotting German-born festival that's basically Coachella's darker, bass-thumping cousin, will storm the Brooklyn Storehouse on November 21 and 22. For two sleepless nights, the cavernous Navy Yard warehouse will transform into a cathedral of strobe lights, Funktion-One sound and untamed dance energy. For the uninitiated, Time Warp first launched in Mannheim, Germany, more than 30 years ago and has since exported its underground ethos from São Paulo to Santiago, cementing itself as one of the world's most iconic electronic festivals. Its New York edition, produced with nightlife crew Teksupport, has quickly become a rite of passage for techno heads across North America. And the 2025 lineup? Massive. Headlining is none other than Sven Väth, the German pioneer who's been shaping the scene since the early '90s. He's joined by French powerhouses Nico Moreno and Trym, plus Italy's techno queen Deborah De Luca. But the magic isn't just in the solo sets: The fest is known for pairing unlikely DJs together for chaotic, euphoric back-to-backs. This year brings Dennis Ferrer B2B Kerri Chandler, DJ Heartstring B2B Partiboi69 and The Blessed Madonna B2B Mike Servito, all the kind of rare matchups that could become instant legend. The rest of the bill runs deep: Sara Landry, SPFDJ, Kim Ann Foxman, Beltran B2B Ben Sterling, CatLadyHi and Brooklyn favorite Katie Rex all promise to keep the BPMs unrelenting. Whether you're into hypnotic minimalism, industrial hammer kicks or playful house grooves, there's a corner of the lineup with your name on it. The Brooklyn Storehouse, already a favorite among New York's warehouse party faithful, will host two stages each night from 9 pm until sunrise. It's the same sprawling venue where Time Warp set new standards last year, turning an industrial hangar into something between Berghain and Blade Runner. Tickets are already on sale and if history is any guide, they won't last long. (Last year's rave sold out in record time, and fans were begging for resale links on Reddit within hours.)

Hurricane Erin forecast to create life-threatening waves along US east coast
Evacuations were being ordered on islands along North Carolina's outer banks even though the storm is unlikely to make direct landfall. Authorities warned that some roads could be swamped by waves of 15 feet (4.6 metres). Cars line up to evacuate via a ferry on Hatteras Island, North Carolina, over the expected impact of Hurricane Erin (North Carolina Department of Transportation/AP) The monster storm intensified to a category four with 140 mph maximum sustained winds early on Monday while it started to lash the Turks and Caicos Islands and the south-east Bahamas, according to the US National Hurricane Centre in Miami. Forecasters are confident that Erin will turn north east and away from the eastern US, but it is still expected to produce dangerous waves and rip currents and could bring tropical force winds to North Carolina coast, said Dave Roberts of the centre. Evacuations were ordered on Monday on Hatteras and Ocracoke islands on the outer banks, coming at the height of tourist season on the thin stretch of low-lying barrier islands that juts far into the Atlantic Ocean. Coastal flooding was expected to begin on Tuesday and continue through Thursday. There are concerns that several days of heavy surf, high winds and waves could wash out parts of the main highway running along the barrier islands, the National Weather Service said. Some routes could be impassible for several days, authorities warned. Water floods a road in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, as Hurricane Erin brings rain to the island (Alejandro Granadillo/AP) But there were no signs of panic on Hatteras Island, said Angela Tawes, a co-owner of Conner's Supermarket. 'It's so beautiful outside. It's hard for people to feel like there's a hurricane coming when it's so gorgeous,' she said. Erin, the year's first Atlantic hurricane, reached a dangerous category five status on Saturday with 160 mph (260 kph) winds before weakening. It is expected to remain a large, major hurricane into the middle of the week. 'You're dealing with a major hurricane. The intensity is fluctuating. It's a dangerous hurricane in any event,' the hurricane centre's Richard Pasch said. Early on Monday, the storm was located about 110 miles (180 kilometres) north of Grand Turk Island and about 880 miles (1,400 kilometres) south-east of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. Tropical storm warnings were in effect for the south east Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands, the hurricane centre said. Erin's outer bands hit parts of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands with heavy rains and tropical-storm winds on Sunday. Scientists have linked the rapid intensification of hurricanes in the Atlantic to climate change. Global warming is causing the atmosphere to hold more water vapour and is spiking ocean temperatures, and warmer waters give hurricanes fuel to unleash more rain and strengthen more quickly.
