Driver dies at race track in St-Pie, Que.
The victim would have lost control of the vehicle while entering a curve, said Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Frédéric Deshaies. He was from Drummondville, about 53 kilometres northeast of St-Pie.
First responders were called to the scene shortly before 9 p.m. on Friday. The driver was taken to hospital where he was later declared dead.
A passenger, also a man in his 30's, was in the vehicle with the driver at the time of the incident. He was transported to hospital with serious injuries, but Deshaies says police do not fear for his life.
An SQ investigator and collision reconstruction officer were at the race track to determine the circumstances around the crash and an investigation is underway.

I didn't have time to do anything," Alexandrova's husband told Rossiyskaya Gazeta in a statement translated from Russian. He recalled that Alexandrova was unconscious after the impact, adding, 'Everything was covered in blood.' The husband additionally told Rossiyskaya Gazeta that other drivers stopped to help, and that emergency services arrived on the scene within about 15 minutes. Alexandrova was transported to a hospital in Moscow, but her injuries ultimately proved fatal. She had married her husband four months before the accident, according to her Instagram. In addition to her modeling career, Alexandrova represented Russia in the Miss Universe pageant in 2017. She was also first runner-up in the Miss Russia competition earlier that same year, per Us Weekly. The mother of four was sitting on a bench watching others play when the accident occurred, according to the outlet. 'I was going to go look for the ball, and [...] I heard a screeching sound — like a branch breaking,' Magaña's son, Junior, 22, told VC Star. 'I thought nothing of it, but then I heard a big old thump, and people were running toward my mom.' Junior and his father, Amando, along with two other people, ran to lift the tree — which was about 40 feet long — off Adela. "After that, we went straight into stopping the bleeding,' Junior recalled. 'We got a belt, used it as a tourniquet, held it and had other people call 911.' Junior also said that the family hadn't even planned to be at the course that day, noting that it had been a last-minute decision. Two killed in northern Colorado high-speed crash involving motorcycle
Two people are dead in northern Colorado after police say a motorcyclist ran a red light at 100 mph, causing a fiery crash. The Greeley Police Department said around 9:40 p.m. Friday, a motorcyclist was traveling west on 10th Street at over 100 miles per hour when they ran a red light at the 35th Avenue intersection. The motorcycle crashed into a vehicle traveling south on 35th Avenue and sparked a fire. Five vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash. Police said that after the fire was extinguished, the 19-year-old driver heading south on 35th Avenue was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was also pronounced dead at the scene. Police are working to identify the motorcyclist. Officials said the Weld County Coroner's Office will release the victim's identities following notification of their next of kin. GPD thanked the Greeley Fire Department and City Streets Department for quickly putting out the fire, saving the lives of the other victims. The crash remains under investigation.
