Apple TV's MLS Season Pass is half off for the rest of the season.

Engadget6 hours ago
If you've put off buying an MLS Season Pass this year then you're in luck. Today, Apple TV is cutting the price in half, dropping to $49 from $99, for the rest of the 2025 season. If you have an Apple TV+ subscription then you can get a seasonal subscription to the pass for just $39.
To be fair, the season runs from February to October so the savings more than makes sense — though it wouldn't be suprising for a streamer to charge full price no matter the number of matches left. Apple announced the same deal on July 1 last year so, if you regret paying $99, it's a good thing to keep in mind for next year.
You can watch matches and the matchday whip-around show in English and Spanish, which has interviews, highlights, replays and more. The seasonal subscription also gives you access to a "featured game of the week" broadcast during Sunday Night Soccer. Plus, watch live MLS Next Pro and MLS Next matches. If you buy something through a link in this article, we may earn commission.

Jennifer Aniston to star in series inspired by Jennette McCurdy memoir 'I'm Glad My Mom Died'

The drama-comedy will consist of 10 episodes made for Apple TV+. McCurdy serves as a writer, executive producer and the showrunner of the series alongside Ari Katcher. McCurdy's No. 1 New York Times bestselling memoir recounts her struggles as a former child actor as she dealt with her overbearing and domineering mother. Apple TV+ describes the upcoming series as a dramedy that "will center on the codependent relationship between an 18-year-old actress in a hit kid's show, and her narcissistic mother who relishes in her identity as 'a starlet's mother.'' Aniston will play the starlet's mother in the series. She'll also executive produce the show. Sharon Horgan, Tom Ackerley and Jerrod Carmichael are among several other executive producers on the project. This marks another collaboration between Aniston and Apple TV+. The actress also stars in and executive produces the service's drama series " The Morning Show." McCurdy is known for playing Sam on the Nickelodeon series "iCarly." She reprised that role in the spinoff series "Sam & Cat," which also starred Ariana Grande. "I'm Glad My Mom Died" was published Aug. 9, 2022, and has spent over 80 weeks on the New York Times' bestseller list.

FC Barcelona Vs. Real Madrid El Clasico Dates Released By La Liga

La Liga has publicly released the approximate dates that next season's editions of El Clasico ... More between bitter rivals FC Barcelona and Real Madrid will take place. VISIONHAUS La Liga has publicly released the approximate dates that next season's editions of El Clasico between bitter rivals FC Barcelona and Real Madrid will take place. By the end of July 1 in Spain, we'll know the full fixture list of each of the Spanish top flight's 20 clubs in the upcoming 2025/2026 season. They are being revealed by a live draw still ongoing at the time of publishing, but some key dates such as the Matchday 1 and Matchday 38 games, i.e. the first and last day of the campaign. FC Barcelona, which expects to return to the Camp Nou for its annual Joan Gamper Trophy match on August 10 but not play a league game there until well into September, will travel to Mallorca on the opening day of the season. In the capital, Real Madrid hosts Osasuna in the Bernabeu, in what will be new head coach Xabi Alonso's first official match in charge as the club moves on from the Carlo Ancelotti era. Come the last day of the season, who knows where the two eternal rivals could be. The league title might already be in the bag for one of them, or even a dark horse that doesn't come from either side of Spanish football's great divide. In any event, Barca will travel to Valencia as Real Madrid is again at home against Athletic Club whose winger Nico Williams the Catalans are currently trying to sign. As for the Clasico, La Liga stays true to form by having the first installment of the fixture in October, on the 26th, and the second in May. Akin to 2024/2025, Real Madrid will host the first Clasico before the Blaugrana hosts Los Blancos at Camp Nou on the weekend of May 10. Thus far, kick off times aren't known, though one fixture is usually played at 21.00 local time in Spain while the other is at around 16.15 locally which caters for worldwide markets. Real Madrid will try to win its first Clasico in a while After losing four times to FC Barcelona in 2024/2025, twice in the league and once a piece in the Super Cup and Copa del Rey finals, Real Madrid will try to win its first Clasico in a while on Alonso's orders. Because Barca will head to Asia and Madrid is in the United States contesting the Club World Cup, there'll be no preseason meeting between the two behemoths prior to October.

Weight's been lifted: Demon's family bring smile back

Utterly unrecognisable from the tortured figure of the French Open press room, Alex de Minaur was all smiles back at Wimbledon after his first win for five long weeks, declaring he felt like a weight had been lifted from him. And his businesslike opening-round victory over Spanish grinder Roberto Carballes Baena in the late-morning sunshine felt extra-special for the Australian No.1, as he enjoyed the rare treat of having his family at courtside cheering him on. De Minaur's 6-2 6-2 7-6 (7-2) win was his first since he defeated Serbian Laslo Djere in the opening round at Roland Garros at the end of May. A couple of days later, the shock capitulation to Alexander Bublik from two sets up followed, leaving him offering up the unexpected public declaration of how mentally burnt out he felt. After a break, he returned, only to lose his first match at Queen's Club, and had since played only one exhibition affair last week as his main Wimbledon warm-up match. But he swore the sabbatical had done him good. "It felt like there was not as much pressure on myself. I just went out there, and my focus was on doing a job," he said. Dominant Demon's winning moment 🇦🇺#Wimbledon | @alexdeminaur — Wimbledon (@Wimbledon) July 1, 2025 "I knew that going in, I was in a really good head space, and I was hitting the ball really well, so it kind of gave me a sense of calmness. "I didn't feel like I was playing with a lot of weight. So it was great, because this match had a bit of everything. It had some really good tennis from my side in the first two sets, then he lifted the level and I was in some tough moments, which I was able to play through. "Then at the end I ended up raising my level when I most needed it and played a very clutch kind of tiebreak, going after the ball." Asked whether this signalled a potential return to top form, de Minaur, who reached the quarter-finals against Novak Djokovic last year only to suffer a season-compromising hip injury while winning his fourth-round match against Arthur Fils, said: "Whether I'm back to my best, I can only show that by playing the tennis. "At least I know that I'm in a good spot to perform. I'm going to give myself the best chance to perform." The 11th seed was also buoyed by having his Spanish mother Esther, and his younger siblings Daniel, Cristina and Sara at courtside, as well as fiancee Katie Boulter making a brief appearance. "My mum has definitely started travelling a little bit more frequently, and she tries to make most of the slams," said de Minaur. "My siblings, it's a little bit more of a rarer occasion that they come out. Obviously this is probably the first time this year they're all together. So the whole family is out here, which is pretty cool and pretty special. This definitely feels like a second 'home' slam for me." He's not looking too far ahead, with a potential fourth-round meeting with Djokovic in the offing, as he has a handful with his next opponent, Arthur Cazaux, a French qualifier who knocked out one de Minaur's contemporaries from junior days, Adam Walton. "Arthur's obviously very talented. He's had some big scalps before, and coming through quallies, he's playing with a lot of confidence. It's going to be another battle," said de Minaur.
