Scott Cam's jaw-dropping salary for The Block revealed
The Channel Nine presenter, 62, is earning 'close to $2 million a year', according to Woman's Day.
A source told the publication that Channel Nine was keen to keep Cam and his co-star Shelley Craft on the home renovation series for as long as they could.
'As long as audiences keep watching, Scotty and Shelley are the heart of the show,' they said.
'It's ultimately up to the network, but if Scott wants to stay, they will find a way to keep him.'
The insider added that Cam's good-natured attitude made him a delight to work with.
'He still feels lucky to be doing it year after year and to be part of a show audiences still love. There's a real sense of gratitude,' they said.
Cam has co-hosted The Block since 2010.
Season 21 of the long-running reality TV series recently premiered, and the Daylesford-filmed season looks to be one of the most gripping yet.
The presenter's jaw-dropping salary makes him the second highest paid presenter in Australia, trailing Today show co-host Karl Stefanovic.
In May, The Australian's inaugural TV Rich List report claimed that Nine star Stefanovic, 51, was being paid an eye-watering $2 million more than his Today show co-host Sarah Abo.
The report collated the 35 highest salaries among TV stars on Australia's three commercial networks - Channel Seven, Nine and Network 10.
It revealed that Stefanovic is the highest paid small screen star, bringing home a formidable $2.8 million annually, making almost three times as much as Abo, 39.
This is in stark contrast to his Today counterpart who comes in at tenth place with a salary of $800,000.
It was also reported that Stefanovic's salary is almost as much as sitting chief executive Matt Stanton ($1.6 million) and his predecessor Mike Sneesby ($1.5 million) combined.
The insider added that Scott's good-natured attitude made him a delight to work with
It appears that Nine has the deepest pockets out of the three commercial networks, with six of its stars making the top ten.
After Cam, Lego Masters star Hamish Blake sits third at around $2 million.
The top ten Nine contingent is rounded out by newsreaders Alison Langdon ($1.2 million), Peter Overton ($1 million) and Abo.
Seven's highest paid star, Gold Logie winner Larry Emdur, sits in fourth place on $1.6 million, while Sunrise host Natalie Barr came in fifth on $1.3 million.
Meanwhile, Network Ten did not feature in the top ten at all, with their highest paid star Waleed Aly coming in at number 12 on $700,000.

Convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby welcomes a new family member after sparking engagement rumours
Schapelle Corby has taken to social media to announce a new 'family' member. Posting to her stories on Wednesday, the 47-year-old shared a photo in which she could be seen posing alongside a handsome-looking white rooster. 'Meet George,' she captioned the cute selfie. Wearing her long red locks out for the post, Schapelle looked very pleased with her new companion. She also shared another selfie of George in which the chook could be seen posing against bushland. Followers were quick to congratulate Schapelle on the fresh addition to her home. 'Hey George, you're so cute,' messaged one user, while another added a flirty, 'Cute, like its owner.' It comes after the convicted drug smuggler turned influencer was recently seen with a 'mystery man'. Schapelle hugged the male pal as she arrived at Gold Coast airport back in May. Last year, Schapelle left her many fans wondering if she's getting ready to walk down the aisle. Schapelle, who was at the time celebrating her 47th birthday in Paris, set tongues wagging after an eagle-eyed fan spotted a sparkling ring on her left hand. However, it appears not all was what it seems. A close look at the image shows the picture has been 'flipped', and the flashy ring she is sporting is actually on her right hand. A tell-tale give away that the picture has been 'mirrored' is that the Olympic rings seen on the Eiffel Tower in the background of the photo are around the wrong way. In 2020, Schapelle split from her Indonesian boyfriend Ben Panangian after 16 years together. She revealed her long-distance relationship with Ben, 45, was over and that she was looking for her Prince Charming. The couple met in a Bali prison in 2006 when they were both serving time for drug-related offences, but hadn't seen each other in person since 2019. She has not publicly dated anyone since. Schapelle was incarcerated for nine years for attempting to smuggle cannabis into Indonesia. She was arrested at Bali airport in October 2004 with 4.2kg of cannabis wrapped in plastic inside her boogie board bag. Schapelle has always maintained her innocence and her lawyers argued she had unintentionally become a drug mule, suggesting baggage handlers put the drugs in her bag. She was released in 2014.

Channel Seven star blasts the cream of Australian television talent for being unbelievably arrogant and incredibly egotistical after partying with them for one night
star Brian Taylor has raised eyebrows after blasting the 'arrogance' of Aussie TV stars who attended the Logies recently in Sydney. Speaking on his Life of Brian podcast, the footy commentator didn't name any entertainment identities as he 'didn't want to embarrass anyone' - but Taylor is unlikely to be invited to the red carpet event in 2026 and beyond following his vicious rant. A polarising character himself, Taylor felt some A-listers were 'caught up in the moment' before labelling some aspects of the gala evening a 'zoo.' 'I wouldn't say the Logies is everyone's choice of event — I think a lot of people try and avoid events like this,' Taylor said. 'I go, not because we (Channel Seven) are going to win anything because we never win anything and we probably should. 'I go to observe people and see how they are acting. It's fascinating to see it up close. Speaking on his Life of Brian podcast, the footy commentator didn't mince his words, also stating he couldn't believe how much some stars relished the red carpet 'The actors, they are so caught up in the moment. Arrogance is easy to find. It is (just) unbelievable. 'I'm not going to give any examples because I don't want to embarrass anyone. (But) the way they walk around and strut around. 'I thought we as sports people (were egotistical), but not in comparison to these guys. '(On the red carpet) it is a zoo... the women just love it, they can't get enough of it. You've got to see it to believe it.' Taylor, who attended the ritzy event at The Star with colleagues Kane Cornes and Abbey Holmes, was impressed by host Sam Pang. He gave Pang '10 out of 10' when it came to MC duties. Cornes labelled the Logies - where he presented an award on stage with Channel 10's Tara Rushton - a 'different experience.' 'I felt under-dressed compared to everyone else and have never been more out of my comfort zone,' he said on SEN. 'I wanted a selfie with Alf (Ray Meagher from Home and Away) but I wasn't brave enough in the end. 'It was a good night, we had a great table.'

Woman praised for ‘genius' hack as she shares clever way she removes facial hair when she's forgotten her tweezers
A WOMAN has been praised for sharing a "genius" hack to remove unwanted facial hair when you haven't got any tweezers. Jenna explained that her mother had taught her the clever trick, which came in useful when she accidentally left her tweezers at home while on holiday. 4 4 4 4 In a video on her TikTok page, she showed how she used a Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm as her tweezers instead. "I did not pack tweezers and I have a nice black chin hair that apparently grew overnight," she began, pointing out the unwelcome visitor on her chin. She then uncapped the lip balm, before getting the hair in between the case of the product and the lid. As she did so carefully - to avoid giving herself a "blood blister" - Jenna managed to catch the hair, before closing the cap tight. The hack meant she was then able to effectively pluck the hair right out in one go. In the caption for the video, Jenna said that the method hasn't "failed me yet". "Life hack for when you don't have tweezers..." she added. "Use your @Maybelline NY baby lips lipstick. "Chin hairs don't stand a chance around here!" The comments section was almost immediately filled with people thanking Jenna for sharing the hack. I was so unrecognisable after excruciating facial treatment that my daughter banned me from doing the school run "I would never have the confidence to post this hack," one admitted. "I'm jealous that you are so hot and cool and did this effortlessly for the internet to see, but also I'm so grateful you changed my life !" "The hack no one asked for but we all needed," another added. "Your mother is genius! Thank you for sharing this hack," a third praised. "You just changed so many lives," someone else insisted. "Wait! what!?!? Legit life hack!!! Thank you!" another wrote. Biggest skincare trends for 2025 Face The Future's Head of Clinic, Kimberley Medd, shared the five skincare trends predicted to take off in 2025. 1. Exosomes Exosomes are the buzzword for 2025, taking advanced skin regeneration to new heights. These micro-messengers signal skin cells to repair damage, boost collagen, and accelerate recovery, and they're a gamechanger for targeting ageing. 2. Streamlined Skincare The age of 12-step routines is fading as consumers shift to more intentional, multi-functional products. Streamlining skincare not only saves time but also reduces the risk of overloading your skin. In 2025, we'll see a rise in hybrid products that combine active ingredients for simplified, effective results. 3. Vegan Collagen Plant-based collagen will dominate the skincare world this year, providing a sustainable, ethical alternative to traditional animal-derived collagen. Expect vegan collagen in everything from moisturisers to serums. 4. The Rise Of AI AI is revolutionising the beauty landscape, making it possible for consumers to get truly personalised skincare solutions. In 2025, we predict a dramatic shift towards AI-powered tools that help people understand their skin on a deeper level. 5. Hair Loss Solutions - Hair loss is an issue that affects more men than we often realise, and it's no longer just something we're talking about behind closed doors. This year, expect to see a continued rise in demand for treatments that not only tackle hair loss but also nurture overall scalp health. "Stop it! Flipping genius. Thanks mama!" someone else gushed. While another called Jenna an "angel of my life", and added: "I will think of you and send you blessings every time I have to emergency pluck a chin hair for the rest of my life!" "Definitely gonna get caught doing this in my cubicle now, so thank you in advance," someone else laughed. Meanwhile, others used the comments section to share the other inventive ways they have managed to remove their unwanted facial hair without tweezers. "I use the hinge on my glasses," one wrote. "Harder to do, but I have used two coins before," another said. "I once plucked my girlfriend's chin hair with my teeth!" a third admitted.
