These are the best cities to live in the U.S.

Researchers have revealed the best cities to live in the United States, with Honolulu taking the top spot.
The Economist Intelligence Unit just released its Global Liveability Index for 2025. The report looked at 173 cities across the world and evaluated them using five categories: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.
The U.S. did not make it into the top 20 cities in the report, but Honolulu did rank number 23, making it the best city to live in the U.S. for the second year in a row, according to Forbes, which reviewed the report.
Atlanta ranked second best among U.S. cities, 29 overall, followed by Pittsburgh, which placed 30 overall.
Seattle took fourth place for best city in America, 34 overall, and Washington, D.C., placed fifth in the U.S., 38 overall.
The biggest cities in the country, New York and Los Angeles, ranked 69 overall and 57 overall, respectively.
Out of the 21 U.S. cities evaluated in the report, 14 have moved up in the overall annual ranking, 'but mostly because other cities fell,' according to the authors of the report.
Forbes reported American cities performed well in education but struggled with social unrest and gun violence.
'Weak gun-control laws mean that crime is often violent and fatal and undermines social cohesion,' the authors of the report wrote.
The authors predicted U.S. cities would rank worse on the global list in the future with President Donald Trump 's proposed policies.
'With the Trump administration in the U.S. proposing to cut public spending on education and healthcare, the region remains susceptible to further downgrades in future editions of this report,' the authors wrote.
At the top of the overall world list was Copenhagen. The Danish city scored perfectly in stability, education and infrastructure, replacing Vienna as the best city in the world to live.
Vienna in Austria, and Zurich in Switzerland were tied for second place.
Three Australian cities made it into the top 10 -- with Melbourne ranking behind Zurich and Switzerland, followed by Sydney in sixth place and Adelaide coming in ninth.
Damascus, Syria, placed last in the overall list.
'Despite last year's regime change, Syria's capital city continues to be scarred by years of civil war and has seen no improvement in liveability,' the report's authors wrote.

Trump warns ‘next week will be big' as he considers US intervention in Iran

The president is considering authorising American airstrikes against Iran 's underground Fordow nuclear facility to support Israel 's efforts to dismantle Iran's nuclear program. Such an operation would require specialised bunker-buster munitions delivered by B-2 stealth bombers, necessitating a complex, long-duration mission. The president has issued stern warnings to Iran, including a social media threat to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, demanding unconditional surrender and indicating dwindling US patience. Concurrently, the US is undertaking a significant military buildup in the region, deploying carrier groups and advising Americans in Israel to evacuate. Despite earlier statements of non-participation, the president is now reportedly weighing direct US military involvement, though a final decision remains pending.

Trump ‘has APPROVED Iran attack plans & is ready to give orders' as Israel ‘strikes reactor' & Tehran hits hospital

DONALD Trump has reportedly approved US airstrikes on Iran and is waiting to give the final order as the conflict rages on in the Middle East. An Israeli hospital and an Iranian nuclear reactor were struck in a sixth night of heavy exchange between the warring nations. 4 4 4 4 Trump approved the plans to attack Iran on Tuesday night but is holding off in case Tehran agrees to abandon its nuclear programme, reports the Wall Street Journal citing senior intelligence sources. If given the go-ahead, the plans would see the US join Israel in pounding Iran's nuke sites - which Tehran has warned would spark "all out war". Overnight, Israel's main southern hospital - Soroka Hospital in Beersheba - was directly hit by an Iranian ballistic missile and suffered "extensive damage", a spokesperson said. Israel targeted Iran's heavy water reaction at Arak, Iranian state TV said, after it issued an evacuation order for there and other areas. The UK is yet to declare whether it would stand with the US should Trump decide to go ahead with military action. But Sir Keir Starmer has been warned by Attorney General Lord Hermer that the UK's involvement could be illegal. It comes as Sir Keir held a Cobra crisis meeting on Wednesday with a potential US-led strike reportedly being discussed. Trump has become heavily involved in the conflict over the last 48 hours with him speaking on the potential airstrikes from the White House as he said: "I may do it, I may not do it." It is believed that the US may choose to first attack Iran's Fordow nuclear development area, according to the Telegraph. This would likely be done by a fearsome 15-ton mega bomb known as a Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bomb that can penetrate deep inside the ground before blowing up. Speaking to reporters from the Oval Office Trump did say the US is the only nation capable of blitzing the key nuke site. But he added: "That doesn't mean I'm going to do it - at all." Trump also gave a two-word warning to Iran's Supreme Leader after he revealed Tehran was trying to run back to the negotiating table since the conflict broke out. When a White House reporter asked Trump about Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's declaration that he will "never surrender", Trump simply responded: "Good luck." Trump even directly threatened Khamenei as he said the US knows where he is hiding but will not kill him 'for now'. Khamenei responded by saying: "The battle begins." 'This nation will never surrender,' he said in a speech read on state television. 'America should know that any military intervention will undoubtedly result in irreparable damage.' US officials indicated the next 24 to 48 hours will be crucial in determining whether diplomacy could ever be achieved with Iran, ABC News reports. It comes as warmongering Russia ironically warned the world sits "on the brink of catastrophe" as the raging Middle East conflict entered day six.
