Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala will compete in the finals of the Eastbourne Open on Saturday.
This is Eala's first finals appearance WTA Tour level tournament, and the first for a Filipino as well.

In the post-match interview, Eala could not help but cry as she reached her first WTA Tour level finals. "I'm super happy because was a tough match. There were really tough moments where she was playing well and sometimes, you know, didn't know how to get out of it. So I'm really happy with winning," Eala said. Eala dispatched Varvara Gracheva of France, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, in the semis on Friday, and will face Maya Joint of Australia in the finals. Joint is coming off a 7-5, 6-3 semis victory against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the semifinals.
