Monochrome Monday: The Gulf Coast Edition
If you're looking for a shade that makes you feel expensive, confident, and just a little bit mysterious, Gulf Coast is your answer.
Gulf Coast sits at the perfect intersection of blue and green - rich yet understated, bold yet effortless. It's the colour of deep lagoons, oxidised patina on aged bronze, and vintage jewels with stories to tell. Regal without being flashy, it has stood the test of time.
The ancient Egyptians crushed malachite into pigment for sacred art (including Cleopatra's eyeshadow) as Art Deco designers infused it into everything from mosaics to the gowns of '50s Hollywood icons. It has never faded from fashion's consciousness.
Now, Gulf Coast is having a moment. Think satin evening gowns, power blazers, and bold jewellery that add sophistication with a punch of personality. It's the ultimate transitional shade, effortlessly moving between seasons. Reem Acra | Heavenly Teal Gown
Flowing drama? Check. Intricate embellishments? Double check. The plunging neckline, sheer embroidered fabric, and sweeping cape give it a regal, almost celestial quality. Sedra Jewellery | Nelumbo Bracelet
A delicate nod to nature, this floral-inspired bracelet blooms against a moody blue backdrop. The refined metalwork and diamond accents make them feel ethereal, like frozen petals catching the light. Helena Magdalena | Madonna Scarf
Draped like old Hollywood, the Madonna scarf adds a vintage, cinematic aura to any simple outfit. The lightweight, semi-sheer fabric cascades elegantly, utilizing movement and mystery. Amni Brazil | The Arpoador Dress
The asymmetric top and high-waisted mini of the dress are crafted from beaded, circular appliqués that catch the light like rippling water. Fatale by Angie | Peacock Collection Dress
Drawing from the majestic beauty of peacocks, the fashion label intertwines bohemian and couture in this intricately embroidered co-ord. The deep teal fabric, shimmering gold threadwork, and billowy bell sleeves make it feel straight out of a dream, perfect for dancing the night away. Hassa Jewellery | Small Flow Earrings in Turquoise & Line Flow Ring in Turquoise
Inspired by the ocean, these abstract earrings and rings feel like waves captured in real time. Fluid, modern, and effortlessly cool, the mix of smooth enamel and gold creates a sharp contrast. Georges Hobeika | Couture Spring 2024 Gown
A sculpted satin blazer meets a sheer crystal-embellished skirt in this show-stopping look. The bold Gulf Coast hue gives it a commanding presence, but the soft shimmer and Georges Hobeika's ethereal ethos keeps it unquestionably feminine. Bera Design | Gala in Tiffany Blue
A pop of metallic teal against a monochromatic look? Instant sophistication. This leather clutch, with a metal-hardware top handle, feels both contemporary and edgy. It's perfect for day-to-night styling, depending on how you style it. Versace | Medusa Aevitas Teal Satin Crystal Pointed Platform Pumps
These pumps are a 70s-inspired dream with a brassy attitude. The towering heel and chunky platform bring back dramatic, disco-era glam, but the sleek ankle strap and teal satin finish keep it fresh and modern. Whether paired with wide-leg denim or a slinky dress, they guarantee a statement with every step.

Madonna to Finally Release "Ray of Light" Remix Album "Veronica Electronica": Here's When It Arrives
Yara Sameh Madonna will finally release her long-lost project 'Veronica Electronica,' featuring rare and unreleased remixes from her legendary 1998 album 'Ray of Light.' The album will also be available as part of the 'Silver Collection,' her ongoing career-spanning series of limited-edition silver vinyl reissues. The album arrives July 25 digitally and on silver vinyl, with 'Skin (The Collaboration Remix Edit)' available now. It is part of the singer's 2021 deal with Warner Music that saw her catalog returning to the company that released her first albums. An eight-track companion to 'Ray of Light,' 'Veronica Electronica' was originally envisioned by Madonna as a remix album in 1998. The record was ultimately sidelined by the original album's long string of hit singles. 'Ray of Light' went on to sell more than 16 million copies worldwide and earned Madonna four Grammy Awards, including Best Pop Album. The album's title is in itself a throwback, as 'electronica' was a loosely defined late-'90s musical genre of hard-hitting electronic dance music, defined by Prodigy, Moby, Underworld, Fatboy Slim, and occasionally stretched to artists like Bjork and Daft Punk. Optimistically considered a successor to the multiplatinum 'alternative' wave, the trend, if it ever really was one, quickly petered out with the end of the decade and the millenium. 'Veronica Electronica' features newly edited versions of club remixes by Peter Rauhofer, William Orbit, Sasha, BT, and Victor Calderone, along with the original demo of 'Gone, Gone, Gone' — a previously unreleased recording produced by Madonna and Rick Nowels. Track Listing: Side A 1. 'Drowned World/Substitute For Love' – BT & Sasha Bucklodge Ashram New Edit 2. 'Ray Of Light' – Sasha Twilo Mix Edit 3. 'Skin' – The Collaboration Remix Edit 4. 'Nothing Really Matters' – Club 69 Speed Mix Meets The Dub Side B 1. 'Sky Fits Heaven' – Victor Calderone Future New Edit 2. 'Frozen' – Widescreen Mix and Drums 3. 'The Power Of Good-Bye' – Fabien's Good God Mix Edit 4.
