He wrote: "Jeremy is almost always right. What he says, 99 times out of a hundred, is correct.
"He flags up dangerous driving, and explains why it is threatening to a person riding a bike. The statistics, of course, make his case for him.

"But, and, to my mind this is a serious but: just because he's right, it doesn't mean that he's right.
"Respectfully to Jeremy, whose intentions were impeccable, I think he got it wrong. Here's why.
"Cycling is fun. It is liberating. It is a tremendous, life-changing activity. It puts a smile on your face. Jeremy's videos, frankly, would put the fear of God into you."
He continued: "If you were vaguely considering making the 'modal shift' as active travel geeks refer to ditching the car in favour of a bike (something I have literally done), would Jeremy's polemical videos persuade you, or put you off? Would they be more or less likely to encourage you?

"My experience of criss-crossing London by bike over the last twenty years is far more benign than Jeremy's, or at least the edited version of Jeremy's that he presents online.
"I tend to ride on back routes where I can, have got to know the safer roads, and, by and large, I don't experience the extreme levels of danger that are presented, so frequently, in Jeremy's videos.
"That's not so say it doesn't happen, but not as often as his presentation suggests."

BBC Radio 2 host Jeremy had sued ex-Man City, Newcastle and QPR midfielder Barton for libel and harassment over the slew of vile posts.
The pair had been set for a High Court showdown but Barton revealed he has agreed to pay Vine £75,000 in damages and costs to settle the case.
He also apologised to the broadcaster for the "untrue" posts, which also included branding Vine a "paedo defender".
Barton said: "I have agreed not to make the same allegations again about Mr Vine and I apologise to him for the distress he has suffered."

THREE PEOPLE WHO were abandoned as babies in different parts of Ireland in the 1960s – and later discovered they were siblings – believe there is a fourth sibling and that a new documentary could encourage them to make contact. The remarkable story, which captured media attention on both sides of the border, will be explored in a new documentary called The Phone Box Babies. It will air next week, on Wednesday 2 July at 9.35pm, on RTÉ One. It promises to reveal new insights into the lives of three people who were abandoned as babies and discovered that they were siblings over five decades later. Helen Ward, born in 1968, was discovered in a tartan duffel bag in a Dundalk phone box. Each was adopted and raised in different parts of Ireland. Their mother was a young Catholic woman from the Republic of Ireland who, in the 1940s, began an affair with a married Protestant man from Northern Ireland. He was 17 years her senior and had 14 children of his own. This affair endured for decades and, in that time, David, John, and Helen were born – and abandoned. Speaking ahead of the documentary airing, Helen said it has 'opened up the lines of communication about our biological parents, with people willing to share their stories'. AN ALLEGED killer told the man he tortured to death he was going to "s**g" his ex-wife, a court heard. The 31-year-old allegedly masterminded the plot to murder Thomas at his home in Mossley, Greater Manchester. Manchester Crown Court heard he was passed information to aid in the killing by Thomas' ex-wife Coleen Campbell, who has been jailed for 13 years. Jurors were told today Belfield had sent Thomas a message before the horror , saying: "I'm going to s**g her for the point of it as well as saying you like her you soft boy." Giving evidence, he said he later deleted the message as he had been a "bit upset" when he sent it and realised it was a "bad idea". Belfield also denied that he was "obsessed" by his ex-Demi -Thomas' girlfriend - and claimed he was in "multiple" relationships at the time. But jurors heard he had messaged Demi-Lee before the killing to tell her "you're mine". He also text his ex, saying: "You will never have a boyfriend you will have to move country give it a week and you will see why and happens when you take the p***." Most read in The Sun Belfield denied he was threatening Demi-Lee, adding: "I'm not going to do anything to her. She knows I wouldn't do anything to her." The prosecutor said a few days after the messages, Thomas died in the "most terrible way". Jurors heard Thomas was murdered on July 3, 2022, after three men "pounced" on him as he arrived home late from a night out. A post mortem found injuries to his head and neck suggested a "sustained blunt sharp force physical assault". The dad also had burns on his body that were caused by a "hot liquid such as hot water". After his naked body was found by neighbours , Belfied travelled to South America. He allegedly sent a series of texts following the horror - callously joking the victim must have "bled everywhere". His alleged "right-hand man" Reece Steven, who has been jailed for Thomas' murder, replied: "Tommy crumble. Dripping in tom juice everywhere." The court heard a tracking device was placed on Thomas's car and "reconnaissance" was carried out in the days before he died.
