Rallying-Tanak leads in Greece after a day of heat and punctures
(Reuters) -Hyundai's Ott Tanak ended the first full day of the Acropolis Rally with a slender three second lead over teammate Adrien Fourmaux as the Greek heat and rough roads left rivals struggling to keep up.
Tanak stayed out of trouble to lead on Friday night despite not winning any of the seven gravel stages in temperatures in excess of 40 degrees Celsius.
"At times it was difficult to keep everything in one piece but I think in the end we must be happy that we didn't have any big trouble with the tyres or with the car," said the Estonian.
Hyundai's reigning champion and last year's Acropolis winner Thierry Neuville led after stage three but then dropped three minutes after collecting two punctures, before taking the day's final stage to end the day eighth.
Toyota's Takamoto Katsuta and Kalle Rovanpera also lost time with tyre problems.
Teammate and eight-times world champion Sebastien Ogier was in third place, 16.9 seconds behind Tanak after leading up to stage five, and won two stages to Fourmaux's three.
The Frenchman's championship-leading teammate Elfyn Evans was fourth and Gregoire Munster fifth for M-Sport Ford. Katsuta and Rovanpera were sixth and seventh.

The highly-rated 19-year-old was out for three runs as the Australians made a slow start to the first innings and scored five in his second spell at the crease, but Cummins threw his support behind the Sydney-born right-hander. "One of the hard things about playing test cricket is you get thrown different conditions all the time," said Cummins. "You might not have the flying hours under your belt as a youngster coming in, so you've got to come in and work out your craft on the bigger stage. "The hardest thing when the pitch is doing a lot is getting out of your little bubble, trying to score and take good options, which is really hard in these conditions. You saw today how hard it can be to fire a few shots. "Sammy tried a few different options yesterday, not too many worked out. But (I have) full confidence." Both Konstas and Cameron Green, at number three, struggled but the Australians were set up for victory by the batting performances of Travis Head, Beau Webster and Alex Carey. The West Indies were left to chase a target of 301 to win but, with Josh Hazlewood producing a bowling masterclass to claim five wickets for 43 runs, the hosts were dismissed for 141 as the match ended with two days remaining. "The wicket was playing a lot of tricks," said Cummins. "I thought we might make decent in-roads, but I didn't think we'd get 10. Always nice to get a couple of days off. "I thought those three (Head, Webster and Carey) were brilliant. They kept the scoreboard ticking over. They took really good options and they were always looking to score. That was the difference. "We turned up today thinking that we wouldn't get a big lead, it was 50-50 really and those guys took the game away from West Indies. I thought all three of those were really impressive."

Tesla invited influencers to test its robotaxi. Here's what they had to say
For now, the test vehicles are operating in a limited area. — Reuters AUSTIN: A handpicked group of passengers invited for early rides from Tesla Inc's autonomous, nearly driverless ride-hailing service seemed to like it. But video some posted to social media suggests the automaker's system struggles to comply with traffic laws. Some passengers were wowed by the car's ability to slow for speed bumps, an ambulance or to avoid hitting a pedestrian. One said it did just as well after sundown as during the day. Another was wild about what it may mean for the Austin-based automaker's future. "I was completely mind blown that the same car I can buy today starting at around $38k – which also happens to be the best selling car in the world – just did paid driverless rides around Austin, TX without someone behind the steering wheel and pedal," X user @farzyness posted after three rides in one of the Model Y vehicles being used as robotaxis – which actually start at more than US$50,000 (RM 212,199) , according to "The implications from this are far-reaching and very disruptive. This breaks transportation." He was among a handful of online Tesla influencers – fans who post regularly about the company on social media– who received invitations to download the Robotaxi app and try the company's service Sunday in Austin. It's not available yet to the general public. According to CEO Elon Musk, Sunday's trial had a flat fee of US$4.20 (RM18) for the select group. It was unclear if Tesla paid for the influencers' trips to Austin, their robotaxi fares or for social media posts about the service. The company hasn't responded to requests for comment. "As an Early Access Rider, you can be among the first to use our new Robotaxi App and experience a ride within our geofenced area in Austin," the invitations said. "Through this exclusive preview, you'll have the opportunity to provide valuable feedback." Though there was no one behind the wheel, information sent with the invitations indicated front-seat human safety monitors – Tesla employees riding with Sunday's invitees – would be subject to the same restrictions as drivers of Tesla models with the so-called Full Self-Driving system. That means the cabin camera was watching the monitor's eyes to make sure they're on the road and, presumably, warn them if they're not.
