Kim Kardashian's tween North debuts grown-up accessory on lavish birthday trip to Mexico
Whether it's a baby shower or their annual Christmas Eve parties, the Kardashians go all out when it comes to their celebrations.
And Kim Kardashian once again threw her daughter North West a birthday party the youngster won't soon forget.
In honor of North's 12th birthday, the reality star treated her daughter to a trip to Los Cabos, Mexico this past weekend.
North, her lucky friends, and her famous mother stayed at a luxurious beachfront home decked out with everything a birthday girl could want.
The youngster even debuted quite the grown-up accessory - a glamorous manicure.
North's long, bedazzled nails were visible as she explored the beachside.
For the bash, Kim decked out the party with an outdoor movie screening area complete with various plush seats the kids could sit on.
A wood table was decorated with a massive bouquet of flowers while a huge bouquet of blue balloons hung along the edge of the house.
Their luxurious accommodations also appeared to come with a pool, as an inflatable swan could be seen on site.
North was also still rocking the fun blue hairstyle she recently debuted.
Kim, who shares North with her ex-husband Kanye West, was seen at one point on the deck.
It's certainly not the first time Kim has thrown an epic birthday bash for her firstborn - last year, for example, she treated North and her friends to a day in New York City.
The year prior, Kim threw a sleepover for her daughter and pals at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
She paid tribute to her firstborn child with a sweet birthday post on Sunday that featured oodles of throwback photos of her daughter.
'My little baby North turns 12 years old today,' she wrote in the post. 'We were looking at pics today together and laughing so hard, you were so small. It's been the most special calling being your mom. I love you forever and got you forever my bubs.'
Kris Jenner also celebrated her granddaughter's birthday with her own heartwarming birthday tribute.
'Happy birthday to my beautiful, kind, funny, talented, and wildly creative granddaughter North West!!!' Kris posted, along with numerous snaps of her grandchild. 'From the moment you were born, you've marched to the beat of your own drum… fearless and with such a love for life.
'You have the most incredible spirit, a brilliant mind, and an imagination that amazes me. Whether you're singing, dancing, performing on stage, painting a masterpiece, you do everything with so much energy and with passion and purpose.
'Watching you grow into the confident, kind, and amazing young girl you are has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Never stop being YOU. I'm so very proud of you Northie and I love you more than words can express!!'
Kim shares North and as well as three other children - Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, six - with her ex-husband Kanye.
Kanye and Kim were married from 2014 until the television star filed for divorce in February 2021. It was finalized in 2022.
The former couple have recently been embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their kids - with the controversial rapper taking to social media to air out wild rants to his followers over the topic.
Last month in May, the mom-of-four officially completed her law school program and held a mini graduation in an intimate backyard ceremony following the six-year journey.
The reality star did not attend traditional law school and instead underwent Law Office Study Program (LOSP) in the state of California.
Kim will still need to take the Bar Exam if she wants to professionally practice law in the state.
On social media, the beauty could be seen holding a certificate of completion while also sporting a beige robe and matching graduation cap.
The TV personality has also taken a role in Ryan Murphy's upcoming legal drama All's Fair alongside other cast members such as Naomi Watts, Glenn Close, Niecy Nash-Betts, Sarah Paulson and Teyana Taylor.

I Heart Willie review – public-domain slasher turns Mickey Mouse into slicer-and-dicer
It seems 'public domain horror movies' are now a proper thing: a cinematic subgenre of gory, uber-schlocky fearmongering that revolves around a well-known intellectual property, usually from the realm of children's entertainment, whose copyright has expired. That means the makers are free to turn a beloved character into a murderous man-beast psychopath, with the Winnie-the-Pooh derived Blood and Honey franchise a prime example. Meanwhile, the moment black-and-white cartoon Steamboat Willie, the 1928 debut of Mickey Mouse, entered the public domain, almost half a dozen Mickey-themed slasher pics were born, like spores released from a fruiting body. In a very low-bar environment, I Heart Willie is perhaps a tick better than previous public domain horrors, or maybe we have reached the film critic's equivalent of Stockholm syndrome, with our defences worn down by shoddy production values, originality deficits and lame performances. At least I Heart Willie offers a somewhat unusual backdrop: it is set in Michoacán, a western state of Mexico, where four teenagers, who mostly speak English even though three of them are locals, set out looking for trouble, as kids are wont to do in these films. They've heard of a house in the area haunted by a dead German mouse-boy named Willie; turns out rumours of his death are somewhat exaggerated as he's still there and quite buff (and is played by the film's screenwriter David Vaughn), although half of his skin is covered in mutilated latex and he wears a homemade mouse mask most of the time. Willie spends his time mutilating randoms who wander on to his property while blasting aptly public domain recordings such as Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries. Inevitably, nearly every member of the crew gets picked off, but there's a twist, with one of the party not exactly who they seem to be. Final girl Maya Luna stars as Nora, a seemingly prim-in-pink type who displays an impressive acting range. Her charisma and commitment to this nonsense elevates the material just enough to make the marketing push behind this seem justified. That said, let's not let the film's tedious sadism and crappy dialogue off the hook. I Heart Willie is on digital platforms from 23 June.

EXCLUSIVE Why you should NEVER criticise your ex in front of your children: Expert reveals why stars like Fern Britton and Kim Kardashian are right to be 'kind' about their former husbands
An expert has revealed why separated parents should never disparage one another in front of their children, after Fern Britton revealed she won't speak ill about her ex-husband Phil Vickery in front of their daughter. Many people will vent about an ex following a break-up, but doing so in front of your children can be a bad idea, according to Kate Daly, co-founder of leading online divorce services company amicable. Last week, Fern, 67, said she tries 'very hard' not to speak ill of her celebrity chef ex in front of her daughter Winnie, 23, who 'adores' her father And she's not the only star who has bitten their tongue despite a contentious co-parent relationship. Kim Kardashian previously said that she 'protects' Kanye West in front of their four children North, 12, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven and Psalm, six. 'My kids don't know anything that goes on in the outside world. I will protect that to the end of the earth,' she told the Angie Martinez IRL podcast. 'If we're riding to school and they want to listen to their dad's music, no matter what's going on I have to put a smile on face and act like nothing is going on'. Meanwhile, Katherine Ryan has said she won't speak ill of her ex Alex Elderman, who she shares 16-year-old daughter Violet with. Now Kate has told Femail that children are 'incredible perceptive' and 'take emotional cues from their parents'. She added that this aspect of co-parenting is often overlooked, but can leave a huge impact on children. 'Children are incredibly perceptive, and they take emotional cues from their parents,' she says. 'Speaking negatively about an ex in front of children can make them feel conflicted, for example that they are required to respond to the critique of the other parent and either agree with your criticism or defend their other parent. 'This is extremely anxiety-provoking for a child and leaves them feeling caught in the middle. 'It's important to remember that a child is made up of both parents – hearing one parent criticised can feel like a criticism of themselves.' Fiona Yassin, international family psychotherapist and founder of The Wave Clinic, added that while parents might think they are sharing information that will make their child feel safer with them, but this isn't true. She warns against parents using their children as confidants during difficult periods, as it can affect their relationships with other people in the future. 'If a child hears that their mum or dad has, for example, lied or had an affair, it does not just distil the child's trust in that parent, it also distils their trust in the world,' she explains. 'So if a parent confides in their child, they're not just disturbing their child's vision of that relationship, they're also disturbing their child's ability to trust the people they should be able to - in this instance, that's family. For some children, this may result in complex post-traumatic stress disorder (complex PTSD). 'Many parents believe that the more information they share with their child - in the hope of turning the child's emotions against the other parent - the safer that child will feel with them. 'This is, however, a complete misnomer. Children deserve emotional safety and if either parent is asking a child to take sides or continually running down the other parent, there is no emotional safety. ' Research shows that parental conflict, rather than the divorce or separation itself that puts children at higher risk of mental health and wellbeing problems, as well as negative relationships with peers. Kate says: 'Those children exposed to parental conflict are more likely to suffer emotional and behavioural difficulties or not to do so well in school. 'When parents bad-mouth each other, it can lead to confusion, loyalty conflicts, and stress for the child. In the long-term, this can affect their self-esteem, relationships (friendships and their romantic relationships in later life), and overall mental wellbeing.' Speaking badly of your ex can also damage your child's relationship with their other parent - or even with you. 'We see examples that carry on even into later where adult children may actively 'hide' their relationship with one parent from the other,' Kate adds. Even if you and your ex-spouse think you are doing a good job of hiding your conflict from your children, Fiona says it's 'important to understand that children pick up most of their clues about what's going on from a non-verbal basis'. This means your body language matters too. 'Whilst it's important to avoid arguing in front of the children, know that your non-verbal cues and the environment they're in will have an impact on your child,' Fiona explains. Kate advises keeping the focus on your child's wellbeing and to try and speak respectfully about one another if you can - or at the very least, speak neutrally, even if things are difficult. 'Avoid placing blame or sharing adult issues with your child – you wouldn't discuss intermarital issues with your child if you and your partner were together – so don't if you separate. 'If your child has questions, answer them honestly but age-appropriately but remember the boundaries. Think of it this way: every interaction is an opportunity to model emotional intelligence, kindness, and resilience.' Fiona also suggests being united with your ex on the topic of co-parenting. 'To move forward does not mean that you need to forgive, nor does it mean you need to forget. 'But it does mean that you need to put your parenting responsibilities above your relationship responsibilities. The divorce will dissolve the marriage, but it will not dissolve the biological basis of parenting.' If you feel stressed and upset with your ex, Fiona recommends using a journal to work through your thoughts and feelings about how you'd like to share and divide responsibilities with your children. 'Writing your thoughts down can help to clarify your thinking. Step away from your notes for a day or so and then come back to them when you're in a clearer headspace and are better able to make good decisions.'
