3 arrested after Ontario teen robbed of her puppy while out for walk

Police in Windsor, Ont., say they have arrested two men and a teen girl after another teen was robbed of her puppy as they were out for a walk.
The victim was walking her four-month-old puppy named Rustin on College Avenue near South Street on March 16 when three people approached her, according to police.
They say the robbers threatened the teen with pepper spray before taking the dog and fleeing the area on foot.

Police say officers soon arrested a 15-year-old girl in connection with the incident and charged her with robbery and assault with a weapon.
Rustin was also recovered and returned to his family, as police began to search for two men, aged 18 and 21, in connection with the robbery.
On April 18, the OPP's repeat offender parole enforcement (ROPE) squad caught up with the 21-year-old man at Windsor International Airport as he was about to take a planned flight, according to police. He has been charged with assault with a weapon and robbery with violence or threats of violence.

Four days later, the 18-year-old man was also tracked down by the ROPE squad near the 3800-block of Vaughan Street. Police say he has been charged with assault with a weapon and robbery with violence.

Police say the investigation started earlier this month. The search warrant was executed at a home located on Flinton Road where police found and seized items associated with drug trafficking, close to 23 grams of suspected fentanyl, over 42 grams of suspected methamphetamine and over three grams of suspected cocaine, according to the OPP. A replica handgun and an expandable baton were also seized during the warrant, police add. A 37-year-old woman was arrested without incident, police say. She has been charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. She is scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing Saturday.

The 34-year-old is accused of fatally stabbing Dartmouth rapper Pat Stay inside a Halifax bar in 2022. Crown lawyer Tanya Carter is asking the jury to find Drake guilty of second-degree murder. For hours, the packed courtroom was shown surveillance footage from the Yacht Club Social on the night of Stay's death. Tensions rose once the jury adjourned for the day and Drake turned and appeared to wink in the direction of Stay's friends and family. Later, outside the courthouse in Dartmouth, one person exchanged words with defence lawyer Michael Lacy and spit on his shoe. This resulted in sheriffs separating the two.
