The annual Indianapolis 500 is a major event, both on and off the track, featuring the world's most famous and historic auto race. But the action at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the city of Indianapolis also includes an impressive concert lineup on Carb Day, Legends Day and the famed Snake Pit on Race Day.
On March 25, Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials announced the final performer for the Legends Day Concert, held the day before the 109th Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It will feature Grammy-Nominated Country Group Midland at the Firestone Legends Day Concert on Saturday, May 24 at the Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park in Indianapolis.
The celebration of 'The Greatest Spectacle in Racing' expands into downtown Indianapolis with the concert held the night before the 109th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.
'On the final day before the Indy 500, the countdown to the green flag is full of unmatched energy and excitement,' IndyCar and Indianapolis Motor Speedway President J. Douglas Boles said. 'While fans enjoy the honky-tonk sounds of Midland at the Firestone Legends Day Concert at a fantastic venue in downtown Indianapolis, IMS will be ready to welcome more than 350,000 fans at 6 a.m. the following morning.'

Fans can celebrate Legends Day presented by Firestone at both IMS and throughout downtown Indianapolis. Legends Day kicks off with the 109th Indianapolis 500 Public Drivers' Meeting and driver autograph sessions at IMS. That is followed by the AES 500 Festival Parade and the Firestone Legends Day Concert.
Double Grammy nominees Midland came together at a friend's wedding over common influences and the need for a return to post-Urban Cowboy Country.
For lead singer/guitarist Mark Wystrach, bassist/vocalist Cameron Duddy and lead guitarist/vocalist Jess Carson, the now five-time platinum hit 'Drinkin' Problem' set the stage for their critically acclaimed 'On The Rocks' and No. 1 Billboard Top Country Albums debut 'Let It Roll' to unite classic country fans, hipsters and media alike.
Based in Dripping Springs, Texas, the trio of songwriters, who developed their sound at Tornillo, Texas' storied Sonic Ranch, have been building a following that's sold-out the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show, packed a multiple-night stand at Ft. Worth's iconic Billy Bob's and re-opened North Hollywood's legendary Palomino Club for one night only.
Bringing listeners a resurgence of their thick harmonies, sad melodies, tart lyrics and steel guitar with their album 'The Last Resort: Greetings From,' the retro-Nuevo trio has grown from bar band to an in-demand headliner.
Midland's fourth studio album, 'Barely Blue,' was released in September 2024 to critical acclaim.

Miley Cyrus admits she used to hide thousands of dollars in drugs from accountant
NEW YORK — Miley Cyrus is getting candid about her past drug use, including a time when she says she hid tens of thousands of dollars worth of drug purchases from her accountant. The Grammy-winning 'Flowers' singer, 32, confirmed that 'drugs were the biggest cost' of her recording her 2015 self-funded album, 'Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.' 'To hide those from my accountant, we called them 'vintage clothes,'' she revealed on Friday's episode of The Ringer's 'Every Single Album' podcast. 'So she would get these checks for thousands of dollars worth of vintage clothes.' Eventually, her accountant began to wonder where those clothes actually were. 'Every time she saw me, she'd be like, 'Where's that, like, $15,000 original John Lennon T-shirt that you bought?'' Cyrus recalled. 'I was like, 'Oh, it's upstairs. … We just really want to protect it. It's really delicate.'' Cyrus admitted to buying 'a lot of 'vintage clothes' that year,' saying she's grateful she 'survived' that period of her life. 'I would definitely not encourage anyone else to go this hard, but the fact that I got through it, I'm very glad I got to do it,' she said. The Disney Channel alum has since been vocal about getting sober — first from marijuana in 2017 and then alcohol three years later. She credits sobriety with having 'changed (her) entire life.' Cyrus is currently riding the wave of her May 30 album release, 'Something Beautiful.' This week at the Tribeca Festival, Cyrus debuted the accompanying visual album. __________

Miley Cyrus Sings at ‘Something Beautiful' Premiere After Q&A Disruption
Miley Cyrus's Something Beautiful film premiered at New York's Tribeca Film Festival on June 6, and the Grammy winner shared another unexpected moment with fans. During a Q&A moderated by fashion journalist and New York Times best-selling author Derek Blasberg, Miley was interrupted by fans who were under the impression they were seated for a performance from the 'Easy Lover' hitmaker. One yelled, 'We thought this was a concert! We paid $800!' The discussion, which followed the world premiere of her 'one-of-a-kind pop opera,' continued to be disrupted by the crowd, who kept asking that Miley sing. One person specifically requested her fan favorite from the Hannah Montana: The Movie, 'The Climb.' At one point, she gave in and coyly responded, 'You have to start it.' Tickets to the film's world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival were originally described as 'an exclusive conversation with Miley Cyrus,' per the fest's website. Some fans in attendance took to social media to defend the interruptions, as several ticket retailers misleadingly listed resale tickets as a '2025 Endless Summer Vacation Tour.' 'This is the link I clicked on to buy. Says concert tour dates not movie dates,' one fan wrote with a screenshot of the retailer's ad. Others chimed in and criticized the audience's behavior, writing, 'She's better than me. I would've thrown my mic.' Another person praised Miley for how she handled the situation, adding, 'Not a Miley fan, but I respect that. Tiny gesture humanized her for me. Could have easily ignored the fan/hecklers, made it awkward for everyone on stage, but turned it into a singalong… probably did more for whatever movie this is than the entire interview that's going on.' All this to say: we truly don't deserve angels like Miley.

Sabrina Carpenter's Hit Returns — Right Before She Scores A New Smash
Next week, Sabrina Carpenter will likely score a brand new smash on the Hot 100 with her latest single, "Manchild." The tune, which dropped on June 5, is headed for a lofty debut across a number of Billboard rankings — and it may even become the superstar's next top 10 hit. Ahead of what will likely be an exciting launch, Carpenter's previous focus track returns to the competitive tally and joins her most familiar tune as the singer-songwriter moves on to the next. Carpenter claims a pair of Hot 100 wins this frame in the United States as "Busy Woman" returns to the list of the most consumed songs in America, coming in at No. 97. The tune, which was pushed as the single from the deluxe edition of Carpenter's Short n' Sweet album, earns its fourteenth stay on the tally as it breaks back in. Somewhat surprisingly — despite a fairly long run on the Hot 100 for a pop tune — "Busy Woman" has only risen as high as No. 27 during its lifespan, and it seems unlikely that it will climb any higher. "Busy Woman" was Carpenter's most recent single before "Manchild," but it's her breakout smash that sits highest this time around. "Espresso" pushes from No. 24 to No. 21 as American audiences remain energized by the caffeinated cut. Each time the track holds on and finds space, it extends its lead as the recently-named Grammy winner's longest-running success on the Hot 100. The cut has now spent 59 weeks somewhere on the ranking — more than 20 stints longer than "Please Please Please," her second-longest-charting win. Radio may be largely helping "Busy Woman" in its return to the Hot 100. While the track doesn't appear on any sales- or streaming-focused rosters published by Billboard, it does chart on both the Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay rankings. In fact, the tune soars to new highs on both lists, dancing to No. 21 on the former and No. 37 on the latter in just its second stay.
