ONE Championship: Liam Harrison ‘wants a war' with Soe Lin Oo when pair meet at ONE 173

Liam Harrison said he 'wants a war' with Soe Lin Oo, a fighter the Englishman described as 'one of the toughest men in the sport' ahead of their meeting at ONE 173 in August.

Harrison has built his career on delivering barnburners but, in Denver, will be facing a fighter with a reputation for being incredibly tough to put away.
'This guy is a savage,' Harrison told the Post. 'If you've seen his fights in Myanmar, you know what I mean.
'He's fought in Lethwei (Burmese bare-knuckle boxing with head butts allowed) and he's one of the toughest men in the sport. He's been in absolute wars and just walks forward, no matter what you hit him with.
'I know he's gonna come at me, and I love that. I want a war. I want to stand there, bite down on my gumshield, and trade bombs. That's what I live for. That's what the fans want to see.'
But Harrison would not be satisfied with simply beating Soe, he wants to make a statement on August 1.

FPL: Under pressure like Kevin Keegan, ‘I would love it' if I beat my rivals

Never did I think that a Fantasy Premier League season could jeopardise my professional career, but here we are. The Post's mini-league, despite my utter dominance throughout, has somehow come down to the final day, with just five points between my side, Various Artists, and the team in second. As the Post's resident FPL 'expert', how can I walk back into the office with any shred of dignity if I somehow throw away the league? My editor has even hinted that I will be sent on a post-season FPL tour should I fail to bring back silverware, something I suspect might be a metaphor for more serious ramifications. Right now, I feel like Kevin Keegan after his infamous 'I will love it if we beat them' rant. I have been top of the league for as long as I can remember, but my run-in – much like that of the ill-fated 1996 Newcastle United side – has been nothing if not average: in the previous Gameweek, I scored 58 points, 62 the week before that, and a shocking 38 in Gameweek 35. My closest rival closed the gap after an impressive run, racking up 202 points in three weeks.

Hong Kong fighter Chong chases late bout fee, as promoter threatens legal action

One of Hong Kong's top Muay Thai fighter's said a local promoter still owed tens of thousands of dollars to her and six other athletes for a competition that took place in mainland China last year. Advertisement Emily Chong Lok-ming took to social media to complain that Space One Champions Event had withheld her purse and that of 'all Hong Kong and certain foreign fighters'. The 19-year-old, who asked for her total fee not to be disclosed, told the Post she had been trying to get her payment from company founder Joker Li Yiu-lun since November last year. The Post has been told Space One owed at least HK$50,000 to various fighters who took part in the event in Foshan on November 16. On Saturday, Li initially said he had 'no comment, thank you' when contacted by the Post. However, Space One Production Limited then released a statement in response 'to the recent spread of false statements on social media' in which it accused its partners of not paying funds it was owed, apologised to the fighters and organisations affected, and threatened legal action over the 'dissemination of false information'.
