‘Maxton Hall' Season 3 Is Coming! Release Date, Cast, Plot + More

Yahoo09-07-2025
It's an excellent month to be a Maxton Hall fan! Prime Video's hit teen drama series took the world by storm when it first released in March 2024. With the series racking up more than 95 million TikTok posts since its debut, fans remain feral for this German-language series adapted from Mona Kasten's Save Me book trilogy.
The book-to-screen adaptation was also grouped in 'the big three' for modern coming-of-age stories, along with fellow Prime TV hit The Summer I Turned Pretty and Netflix's My Life With the Walter Boys. And right now, the fandom is celebrating big time because Prime Video announced Maxton Hall Season 3 is officially greenlit—five months before Season 2's release date! Keep reading to find out more about Maxton Hall Season 3, plot details, potential release dates, behind-the-scenes updates and more.
The first book in the international bestselling Maxton Hall series, Save Me, follows the smart, straightlaced Ruby Bell. After Ruby was awarded a scholarship to one of England's most prestigious and expensive private schools, Maxton Hall, she spends her days studying, planning her future at Oxford University and keeping her distance from other students—especially the rich, handsome and arrogant James Beaufort. When Ruby stumbles upon a scandal involving the Beauforts, James confronts her. As the two are forced to work together to plan the school's upcoming gala, they clash in every possible way. But as they spend time together, Ruby finds herself drawn to James. As they both desperately fight their feelings, other dramas arise that may alter their worlds and futures.
The second book in the series, Save You, will be adapted into Season 2, and Save Us, the last book in the trilogy, will be adapted into Season 3. The first two books were re-released in English in 2025. All three books follow the turbulent evolution of James and Ruby's love story. The news about Maxton Hall's renewal for Season 3 (five months ahead of Season 2's premiere date) was delivered to fans on Instagram by the series' stars Harriet Herbig-Matten, who plays Ruby, and Damian Hardung, who plays James. 'Damien, you won't believe what just arrived—Maxton Hall is coming back for Season 3,' Herbig-Matten said to Hardung in the video. 'It's here,' Hardung responded, showing a Season 3 script to the camera while smiling. 'One last time back to school!' See the full announcement video below.
Fans can expect Season 2 and Season 3 to star Herbig-Matten and Hardung, along with many of the other fan-favorite cast members.
Fans were waiting with bated breath about this Season 3 announcement, but months ago, Christoph Scheider, Country Director at Prime Video Germany and Austria hinted at the possibility. 'We had a great IP (intellectual property), it was brilliantly made, we had a great cast—and not just the two main actors, who are outstanding, but also the others,' he told Deadline. 'Everyone was really great, and that made this a unicorn show. The good news is we have three seasons.'
Scheider went on to reveal that the show's producers had to work around Maxton Hall super fans, who found out where filming was taking place and flocked the set. 'It was shot in a castle near Hanover, which is not a secret anymore,' he continued. 'It was really challenging to shoot Season 2 because so many fans were there every day trying to take photographs, but the plot was top secret, so it was really a challenge for the team.'
Maxton Hall Season 2 is set to premiere on Prime Video on November 7, 2025. An Amazon spokesperson offered a behind-the-scenes update to Deadline about the upcoming seasons a few months ago: 'We want to offer fans around the globe the best Maxton Hall experience. We're intensely working on a first-class production and music composition for the series, including comprehensive language versions. We promise the wait will be worth it.'
Buzz continues to build for the teen drama ahead of Season 2's premiere and a teaser trailer just dropped, revealing quite a few eye-opening tidbits for fans. In the teaser, we see James and Ruby being torn apart again, wild parties, simmering drama and, yes, more angst and tension than ever before. See the full teaser trailer below.
As of right now, there is no official release date for Season 3. The good news? Well, since Season 3 was greenlit way ahead of Season 2's premiere, it's likely we'll see Season 3 sometime in very late 2025 or early 2026. (Basically, it will be a shorter wait for a new season this time around!) Stay tuned for more details!
The first season of Maxton Hall is available to stream right now on Amazon Prime Video.

Heidi Klum's lingerie dates and matching tattoos keep things hot with much younger husband

Heidi Klum shared the "spicy" secrets behind her marriage to her husband, Tom Kaulitz. The 52-year-old German-American supermodel and the 35-year-old German guitarist secretly married in February 2019, and they tied the knot a second time six months later during a wedding ceremony aboard the superyacht Christina O. off the coast of Capri, Italy. During a recent interview with People magazine, Klum opened up about the ways in which she and Kaulitz keep the spark in their marriage alive, telling the outlet shopping for lingerie is one of their favorite shared activities. "He loves sitting there, and I go into the changing room and I come out with a different outfit on," the "America's Got Talent" judge said. HEIDI KLUM SHARES STEAMY TROPICAL GETAWAY MOMENT WITH HUSBAND TOM KAULITZ IN PARADISE "He loves me in a miniskirt. He loves me in pumps. He just loves when I get all dolled up." Klum told People Kaulitz enjoys finding "different fun outfits" for her to try on during their shopping excursions. She explained that the Tokio Hotel rocker finds her attractive whether she is in full glam or sporting a more natural look. "He's not against makeup, but if I have nothing on he likes that too. He also loves when I get all dolled up," Klum said. Klum emphasized that there is "no jealousy" between her and Kaulitz. The former Victoria's Secret Angel revealed she and Kaulitz honored their commitment to each other with matching ink. She recalled that the couple personally tattooed their names on each other's bodies. "His looks much better, so I'm the better tattoo artist," she joked. "The Project Runway" host also shared that "stolen weekends," "handwritten notes" and being "present with each other" keep her relationship with Kaulitz going strong. However, Klum told People there are some secrets about their happy union that she isn't willing to divulge. "There are a tons of things that I can't talk about that we do," she said with a wink. Klum was married to hairstylist Ric Pipino from 1997 to 2002. In March 2003, Klum began dating businessman Flavio Briatore, and she announced they were expecting their first child together in December of that year. However, the two split shortly after, and Klum began dating musician Seal while pregnant with her daughter Leni. In 2005, Klum and Seal tied the knot on a beach in Mexico. The former couple welcomed sons Henry, 19, and Johan, 18, and daughter Lou, 15, and Seal adopted Leni when she was 5 years old. In 2012, Klum and Seal announced their separation, and their divorce was finalized in 2014. While speaking with People, Klum recalled that she met Kaulitz seven years ago at a friend's party. The model explained that that fateful meeting might never have happened at all because she had considered skipping the event. "I really wanted to stay home," Klum remembered, "But then I gave myself a little kick in the butt." Klum described her decision to attend the party that night as "the sliding door moment" of her life. She and Kaulitz went public with their relationship in May 2018 and announced their engagement in December of that year. Kaulitz was previously married to businesswoman Ria Sommerfeld. The former couple married in 2015 but separated a year later and finalized their divorce in 2018. Klum told People her relationship with Kaulitz symbolized a "clean slate" for her after her past romantic experiences. "[At first], I wanted to [project] what I had learned from different men I had been with … like, 'Ooh, this reminds me of something that happened, is that a flag?'" she recalled. "But Tom said, 'Don't do this to me because I'm not this person, I'm not that person. Scratch everything. I have to have a fair chance.'" WHO IS LENI KLUM? DAUGHTER OF SUPERMODEL HEIDI KLUM FOLLOWING IN HER MOM'S FOOTSTEPS Since embarking on their romance, Klum and Kaulitz have put their love for each other on full display. The two frequently pack on the PDA during red carpet appearances, and the model often shares intimate snaps and videos of herself with her spouse on social media. In August, Klum posted a photo of herself lounging topless on a beach with Kaulitz during a romantic getaway to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary. "Celebrating our love today and every day. Happy anniversary," she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post along with a slew of heart and fire emoji. While speaking with Fox News Digital in July 2021, Klum reflected on what makes her a "good wife" to Kaulitz. "I was never really into soccer before, but because of my husband, I like it now because I see how happy it makes him," she said. "So, you have to be invested in [his likes] because, otherwise, he will just always do that on his own. LIKE WHAT YOU'RE READING? From the beginning of their relationship, Klum and Kaulitz have faced criticism over their 16-year age gap. In July 2018, Klum discussed her relationship with the musician and their age difference. "Lately, I'm being reminded more about my age by people other than myself," Klum told InStyle at the time. "My boyfriend is many years younger than me, and lots of people are questioning that and asking about it. That's really the only time when age seems to be shoved in my face and I have to give an answer for it." In August 2024, Klum told Glamour Germany she believed the negativity was "often just spitefulness." I can buy expensive things. And now I've also got myself such a great man. "Maybe people don't begrudge me that. Nowadays, people are rightly extremely careful about everything they say – except age shaming. People continue to criticize [in that respect]." The model told the magazine she typically responds to people's questions about the age gap in her marriage with, "How should I answer that?" "I'm 50 and no longer 20. I'm not a young girl who hasn't experienced anything yet or has no idea about life," she continued. "Time won't stand still for me, and Tom will never catch up with me. I'll always be 16 years older, and I'm aware of that." CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP During her recent interview with People, Klum explained that she has learned a lot from her younger spouse. "When our door closes at home and when we're good, I don't really care so much what happens around us," she said. "I've learned things from my husband that I didn't know I was capable of doing. I feel like it's important to live in the moment, enjoy each other, be fair to each other and love one another, and then you see how things are going."

National Eisteddod 2025: The latest news on Saturday

The National Eisteddfod is underway as thousands flock to the annual festival, which this year is being held in Wrexham. In recent weeks Eisteddfod staff and contractors have transformed farmland at Is-y-Coed on the eastern outskirts of Wrexham, into a small town with a 1,500 seat pavilion, a range of performance spaces and stalls as well as a temporary Gorsedd circle. Here is a round-up of the news from the National Eisteddfod today (Saturday August 2), to enjoy: READ MORE: History of Shell Island tidal campsite and why (most) campers love it so much READ MORE: Diggers to pause work on North Wales beach for summer holidays Well-known Hollywood actor Rob McElhenney has welcomed people to the National Eisteddfod 2005 in Wrexham - in Welsh! Maxine Hughes, leader of Wales and the World this year, taught the American to record the welcome for a short video which has been published on social media websites. With Maxine's support, Rob, who has declared his full support for the Welsh language with his friend Ryan Reynolds, since the start of their ownership of Wrexham football club at the beginning of the decade, pronounces the welcome clearly. Maxine praised him for his efforts and especially so when he shortens the word Eisteddfod to 'Steddfod. "That's how we say Eisteddfod in North Wales where I come from," he told him. Maxine, who is from the Conwy area but now lives in Washington, the capital of the United States, will address the audience as the leader of Wales and the World during the Cymanfa Ganu (Singing Assembly) on Sunday night. She will also take part in leading other sessions on the Maes during the week. A well-known actor also paid a heartfelt tribute for the help and support he received from the residents of Rhosllannerchrugog when starting his career on stage and television. Mark Lewis Jones' face is well known even if the name is not as familiar. His credits read like a list of recent iconic TV shows - The Crown, Game of Thrones, Keeping Faith, Man Up and Baby Reindeer. His film career is equally impressive ranging from his memorable role as First Order Captain Moden Canady in Star Wars: The Last Jedi to his role in the recent film, Sweetland. This week he is President of the National Eisteddfod which is being held in Wrexham, only a few miles from his home village. He noted his sincere thanks to the grandfather for insisting that the Eisteddfod be "by everyone and for everyone". In his speech he said: "My grandfather, Jonathan Dafis, sang in the pavilion many times as a loyal member of the Rhos Male Voice Choir, as well as helping to organise the festival when he came to the area in 1945, but somehow when I was growing up I didn't feel that the Eisteddfod was relevant to me. "I was, and continue to be, a proud Welshman, brought up in a community that was Welsh even though we were so close to the border, but even so I didn't think the Eisteddfod was for a Welshman like me. And it took me a while to understand that I was wrong." He added his wife, Gwenno, runs a clothes shop in Cardiff, and would regularly hire a stall on the Maes. "One of my favorite memories of coming to the Eisteddfod (with Gwenno), was meeting and chatting with people who had travelled from afar to be part of the festival. "It became clear to me how essential the Eisteddfod is, supporting and promoting the arts in our country. I now have four sons, each one appreciating the importance of the festival, and Jacob, the youngest, is working on the Maes this week. "I have come to understand what Taid understood from the beginning - that the Eisteddfod is for everyone, for everyone. And if he was still with us I know he would be here, in the front row, with a proud smile on his face when he finally saw his grandson on stage." Mark Lewis Jones also outlined how he chose to become an actor. Sign up for the North Wales Live newsletter sent twice daily to your inbox "I have been fortunate to be able to stand on several famous stages over the years - the Globe and the National in London, the Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford - but I have never been on the stage of the National Eisteddfod before," he said. He went to Ysgol Morgan Llwyd in Wrexham and he had no idea what to do with his life. "But at school there was a teacher called Gwawr Mason. And one day, for some reason, she asked me to be in the next school show? And for some reason I said - yes, ok," he said. He came from a home without any connection with the arts, and a home where English was the main language. "After taking part in that school show, my life changed completely. I wanted to act. My parents were unsure of course, but supportive nonetheless. After all, I had nothing to lose - I have two brothers who are carpenters, but I think my mother and father realised after seeing me handle a saw that there was no future for me in that field. "So I went on to work with Clwyd Youth Theatre. I went to the College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, then to Theatr Clwyd and London. "But I can definitely tell you that that would never have happened if Gwawr Mason had not offered a helping hand to a young, lost boy. Very sadly we lost Gwawr during lockdown and although I have thanked her many times for her support I don't feel I will ever, ever, ever be able to thank her enough," he said. And the sound of brass bands also filled the air as competition got underway. A steady stream of musicians carrying their tubas, cornets and trombones from the car parks towards the main pavilion were seen before 9am to register with officials. Five bands from Buckley, Menai Bridge, Deiniolen near Caernarfon and Markham near Caerphilly as well as Wrexham entered the Section 2 and 3 competition. Open to bands with up to 25 members they were set the task of presenting a varied programme that took no longer than 15 minutes to perform. After a spirited competition the adjudicator, Alan Bourne, awarded the first prize of £600 and the Ivor Jarvis Cup to the Royal Buckley Town Band. The Deiniolen Silver Band were second and Markham third. Veteran bandsman Meirion Jones from the Deiniolen band said Buckley deserved their win. "They have come so close on other occasions, sometimes there was just a point in it," he said. Later four more bands competed in the Section 4 competition. They too were set the task of performing at least three items within their alloted 15 minutes. The adjudicator placed the Llanrug Silver Band in first place and they took home the Ivor Jarvis Challenge Cup and the £600 cash prize. The Oakeley Silver Band from Blaenau Ffestiniog were second and Band Porthaethwy, Menai Bridge third. On Sunday three brass bands from Wrexham, Beaumaris and Merthyr Tydfil will battle it out for the Section 1 crown and the Flintshire Cup. David Rendall, Tenor Who Suffered 2 Operatic Mishaps, Dies at 76

David Rendall, a British tenor who gained starring roles in Mozart, Verdi and Donizetti on both sides of the Atlantic thanks to a light, clear voice, but who found life uncomfortably imitating art in a pair of career-altering stage mishaps, died on July 21 at his home in New Forest, England. He was 76. His death was announced on Facebook and Instagram by Glyndebourne, the British opera company Mr. Rendall joined in 1974. His son Huw Montague Rendall, an acclaimed baritone, said in an interview that he had died after a 'long complicated illness.' Mr. Rendall was a regular at the Metropolitan Opera throughout the 1980s, singing in 134 performances as Ernesto in 'Don Pasquale,' Tamino in 'The Magic Flute,' Alfredo in 'La Traviata,' Don Ottavio in 'Don Giovanni' and in other works, and earning mixed reviews. He performed some of the same roles at the Royal Opera House in London in that decade, though British critics were generally more enthusiastic. He also sang at La Scala in Milan, the Vienna State Opera and Opéra Bastille in Paris, among other venues. But it was in two stage accidents, the second of which, in 2005, curtailed his singing career, that Mr. Rendall gained notoriety and unwittingly illustrated the perils of operatic life. In April 2005, Mr. Rendall was singing Radamès in Verdi's 'Aida' at the Royal Danish Theater in Copenhagen when part of the stage collapsed, destroying the set. He was 'knocked down at least 15 feet and tried to crawl to safety to avoid being crushed,' he later told The Telegraph of London. 'I thought I was going to die,' a fate that awaits Radamès in the opera but is not normally faced by tenors singing the role. Want all of The Times? Subscribe.
