Prajakta Koli Sangeet Video: YouTube star Prajakta Koli reacts to her viral 'Mere Husband Mujhko Pyar Nahi Karte' video from her wedding to Vrishank Khanal.
YouTube sensation and Mismatched star Prajakta Koli said 'I do" to her boyfriend of 11 years, Vrishank Khanal, on February 25. After the big day, the couple celebrated with a fun-filled party — complete with a viral moment of Prajakta shaking a leg to Sunil Grover's hilarious Mere Husband Mujhko Piyar Nahin Karte. Her unconventional choice of song had the internet in splits and fans couldn't get enough of her quirky, cheeky performance. And now, in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha during the promotions of her new show Andhera, Prajakta shared behind-the-scenes of the viral video.
The viral video featured Prajakta performing alongside friends, including comedian Mallika Dua and actor Mithila Palkar. While singing, she looked at Vrishank and mouthed, 'Zindagi barbaad ho gaya, inko aata hi nahi hai, inko pata hi nahi hai, romance nahi karte, dance nahi karte, inko paddi hi nahi hail" (My life is ruined; he doesn't know how to do anything, he has no clue, he doesn't do romance, he doesn't dance, he just doesn't care). The performance had the wedding guests in splits, with laughter echoing in the background.
Recalling the evening, she said, 'I couldn't walk straight! That's how many beverages I had had at that point. And I mean our family and our friends — they were actually lovely. We told them that we don't want to share too much content. Par har family mein woh ek mausi toh hoti hai. Humari waali aayi thi Jaipur se. She shot it and uploaded it. And of all the things that she could have shared, I wouldn't have minded most of it (laughs)! It was actually released after 3-4 days of the wedding. And it kind of did what it did! There is actually no story behind it. It is just mimosas!"
Prajakta and Vrishank's wedding was held at a picturesque farm in Karjat, Maharashtra, with close friends and family in attendance. Prajakta Koli rose to fame with her YouTube channel MostlySane, which has over 7.23 million subscribers. She has also featured in Netflix's Mismatched, Prime Video's Andhera and in films like JugJugg Jeeyo with Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor as well as in Vidya Balan's thriller film Neeyat.

'She got it all wrong': Kannadigas slam stand-up comic Aiyyo Shraddha over ‘Mile Sur' satire on Hindi imposition

Stand-up comedian Shraddha Jain, widely known by her online persona Aiyyo Shraddha, has found herself at the centre of an online storm after her recent satirical performance touched a nerve with many Kannadigas. The controversy erupted after she released a video from her So Mini Things series ahead of India's 79th Independence Day,(Aiyyo Shraddha/YouTube) The controversy erupted after she released a video from her So Mini Things series ahead of India's 79th Independence Day, in which she reflects on national unity through the lens of the iconic patriotic song Mile Sur Mera Tumhara. The video, meant to be a light-hearted tribute titled 'A Wish for India,' opens with Shraddha crediting the 1988 national integration anthem for helping her learn several Indian languages. But as the act progresses, she mimics an imagined backlash the song might face if released today, joking about states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu resisting Hindi. Her quip,'Why is there so much Hindi in this song?', triggered sharp reactions online, particularly among those opposing Hindi imposition in southern states. Many felt the satire missed the mark and instead mocked those resisting linguistic dominance. Reactions online Kannada writer Guruprasad DN, in a post originally shared in Kannada, called the skit misplaced and urged comedians to deeply reflect on what, and whom, their satire targets. "As society gradually gains some discernment, questions must arise on various issues; the matter of what humor or satire should be directed against or about should be of utmost importance to any artist," he wrote. 'Today, Hindi imposition is a very serious issue. The central government is pursuing a policy of making Hindi dominate over other languages. This is having a detrimental impact on the lives of ordinary people,' he noted. In such times, he said, humor must serve as a critique of power, not of the people resisting it. Watch her full video here: Other users echoed this sentiment, saying Shraddha, who hails from Mangaluru and now lives in Bengaluru, failed to grasp the depth of Kannada linguistic pride. 'As an outsider, Kannada pride is a foreign concept to you,' one post read. Another user said, "That song was a testimony that India respects all languages and its people. But she got it wrong, indirectly attacking those who oppose the imposition of one language over others. Poisonous!" Some, however, defended the comedian. A well-known cartoonist Satish Acharya called the piece 'hilarious and intelligent,' while others urged viewers to revisit the video with a more critical lens.
