‘I don't bother much before saying no': Kajol on turning down Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots

Kajol confesses to rejecting Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan's hit movie- 3 Idiots. From redefining mainstream heroines in the 1990s to experimenting with her roles, Kajol has always been known for her boldness. However, in a recent promotional interview, the celebrated actress made a surprising confession: she once turned down 3 Idiots, a film that later became one of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema history. Speaking to Pinkvilla, Kajol was asked whether turning down major projects ever comes with regret. True to her no-nonsense style, she shared that saying no is never a struggle for her, not even for high-stakes films. Among those rejections? 3 Idiots, Rajkumar Hirani's cultural phenomenon that starred Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi. The actress was offered the role of Pia, which later went to Kareena Kapoor Khan. Despite the film's staggering success, Kajol insisted she doesn't believe in looking back. She added that every film finds the actor it's meant for. 'I think that I've done very well for myself without them,' she Kajol wasn't the only A-lister who turned down the film. Shah Rukh Khan had also been approached to star in 3 Idiots but passed on it — a decision he later joked about on Koffee With Karan, calling himself the 'fourth idiot' for letting it go. Gautam Gambhir uses Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, R Ashwin to shake things up, tells players 'there are only two ways...'

India's five-Test series against England starting June 20 should be about two teams battling for supremacy in what is expected to be a riveting contest. Yet somehow, the build-up of the series seems to revolve mainly around those who are gone. India will be without Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin, all three of whom have announced their retirement from Test cricket. So, while taking nothing away from their legendary careers and all that they have achieved for Indian cricket, it's time to move on and focus on the next generation of cricketers. Because the fact of the matter is simple: Indian cricket needs to look forward to a batter tomorrow, and while the squad at hand may not be rich in experience, these players are not sitting ducks either. With eight days to go for the series opener at Leeds, head coach Gautam Gambhir assembled his bunch of players and made them understand the gravity of the situation. Either they can sit back and sulk that India are without three of their biggest cricketers or take this opportunity to prove the world otherwise. Also Read: Shubman Gill's latest MRF bat irks fans; 'Sachin Tendulkar never wrote GOD, Virat Kohli never used KING' "All I want to say is there are only two ways of looking at this tour. One is we are without three most experienced players, or we've got this phenomenal opportunity to do something special for the country. When I look around in this group, I think we have the hunger and the passion and the commitment to do it. If we make sacrifices, come out of our comfort zone. If we start fighting, not everyday but every session, every hour, every ball, we can have a memorable tour," Gambhir said in a video uploaded by the BCCI. At the end of the day, India will have to work with what they got. And it's not a squad of just some A-team specialist. A lot of these players – KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja have played Test matches in England before. In fact, this is their third Test tour of England, having participated in the 2018 and 2021 series. Even Karun Nair, who made his much-awaited comeback to India's Test squad after seven years, was part of the squad in 2018. The series promises to be a litmus test for him, as for the two newcomers. Gambhir gave a rousing welcome to all three of them, along with the newly-appointed leaders of the Indian team. "First Test calls are always very special, so I want to welcome Sai (Sudharsan), who had a fabulous last three months. Make sure you have a very very successful red-ball career. I want to welcome Arshdeep (Singh), you've been phenomenal with white ball cricket, I am sure, with a red-ball in your hand, you will make it count," Gambhir added. "Guys, lastly, comebacks are never easy. Someone who made a comeback after 7 years. Had a phenomenal last year, the amount of runs you scored. Most importantly, that never die attitude, never giving up attitude got you in the team. That is something which is inspiring for this entire group. I want to congratulate Shubman as well. There is no bigger honour in the country to lead your Test team. Congratulations. Rishabh as well, who is part of the leadership group now. Well done."

Indian YouTuber 'Pooh in Korea's video at 'Jungkook's house' slammed as BTS star becomes victim of Chinese sasaeng

The global BTS fandom, ARMY, celebrated the return of more members on June 10 and 11, marking another step closer to a full group reunion. With Jin, J-Hope, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook now discharged, fans eagerly await the return of SUGA, who is currently serving as a public service worker due to a past shoulder injury. He is scheduled to complete his service on June 21, 2025. However, the joy surrounding BTS' near-complete reunion was dampened when news broke that a Chinese sasaeng (obsessive fan) had attempted to enter Jungkook's home just hours after his military discharge. As ARMYs voiced their concern, many began directing their anger toward an Indian YouTuber known as 'Pooh in Korea.' Chinese stalker attempts to enter Jungkook's home On June 12, a woman in her 30s was caught attempting to break into BTS Jungkook's residence and was immediately apprehended by Seoul's Yongsan Police. According to The Korea Times, the suspect—identified as a Chinese national—was taken into custody on charges of attempted trespassing. Who is 'Pooh in Korea' and why is she being criticized? Indian content creator Poonam Naruka, known online as Pooh in Korea, is a South Korea-based YouTuber and fashion/beauty blogger. Her channel often focuses on life in Seoul and K-beauty trends, but she's recently come under fire for frequently posting content related to the residential areas of BTS members. Just five months ago, she uploaded a video titled "Moving into BTS Jungkook and J-Hope's Apartment Complex." Following backlash, she edited the caption to clarify: "For some people that didn't understand: It's not the same flat JK or J-Hope lived in (someone mentioned that JK has already sold his flat years back, I didn't know about it so sorry about that). It's the same apartment complex, which has hundreds of flats in it. Second, nothing illegal is shown here." But this wasn't the only time her content sparked concern. Other videos on her channel include: "Visited BTS Jimin and Jungkook's Home in Busan" "24-Hour BTS Challenge + I Saw Jin at BTS Festa" "Visited BTS Jimin and RM's Neighborhood" And these are just a few examples. The backlash has intensified, with many accusing her of encouraging invasive behavior and potentially revealing sensitive locations associated with the members. As news of the Jungkook stalking incident spread, many ARMYs took to social media, especially X (formerly known as Twitter) to express concern that such content may encourage sasaeng behavior, potentially giving obsessive fans clues about BTS members' whereabouts. Calls to report and take down her channel have since intensified, with fans urging greater respect for the idols' privacy. Can we do something to get rid of her??? Hybe should sue this bitch first! These people are one of the main reason why such things are happen in the first place. More about BTS The 2025 BTS FESTA, set to take place on June 13–14 at KINTEX in Goyang, South Korea, will mark the group's first official public reunion. Celebrated as a heartfelt homecoming, the event is poised to unite fans worldwide and kick off BTS' highly awaited new chapter.
