The Life Endowment campaign, launched by the Endowments and Minors Funds Authority (Awqaf Abu Dhabi) in support of chronic disease patients and People of Determination, has raised Dhs509 million from 93,000 contributors, two weeks after its launch.
The campaign, running under the slogan 'With You For Life,' aligns with the UAE Year of Community, announced by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
This substantial sum was contributed by major contributors, individuals, companies, and institutions from both the public and private sectors, reflecting the significant momentum of the Life Endowment campaign since its launch. The support will enable the campaign to achieve its noble objectives.
The endowment proceeds will be invested to enhance the sustainability of healthcare services, covering treatment costs, providing health support to patients with chronic diseases and People of Determination.
The support demonstrates the UAE community's commitment to philanthropy and its dedication to assisting patients who lack access to affordable treatment.
It underscores a profound sense of humanitarian responsibility within the community and a commitment to meeting the medical needs of patients suffering from chronic diseases and People of Determination.
Fahad Abdul Qader Al Qassim, Director-General of Awqaf Abu Dhabi, stated that the Life Endowment campaign represents a milestone in the UAE's charitable giving, providing a model for supporting patients with chronic diseases and People of Determination.
He emphasised that the campaign embodies the UAE community's spirit of generosity, reflecting the nation's long-standing commitment to charitable and humanitarian work, rooted in organised collective action, long-term planning, and sustainable support for beneficiaries.
Al Qassim said, 'The significant contributions received since the campaign's launch demonstrate the UAE community's unwavering commitment to supporting humanitarian initiatives. The enthusiastic response to the Life Endowment campaign exemplifies deep compassion for those suffering from chronic diseases and for People of Determination.
