'Oh, Hi' Ending Explained
Well, that's where things take a bit of a dark-comedy turn, and what ensues is, for lack of a better term, a chaotic clusterf*ck, so let's discuss Oh, Hi's ending.
After Isaac drops the bomb that he thought they were just having fun and that he's still seeing other people, Iris storms off, hurt and angry. Fueled by many, many drinks, she spends the night going through her phone and running back every moment of their relationship (or, I guess, lack thereof) looking for clues that can help her understand what's happening. By the morning, she has her plan ready to go: she's going to keep Isaac tied up for 12 hours and convince him she's the one for him.
Shockingly, being held against his will doesn't exactly make Isaac open to changing his mind. And despite Iris's attempts to sway him (including making him french toast, which she's pretty sure he loves) Isaac's just not having it and repeatedly demands to be set free.
Iris calls in the help of her best friend Max, who shows up with her boyfriend Kenny. Although the two bring some laughs, they're not exactly overflowing with good ideas on how to deal with the "felony-in-waiting upstairs." One of their brilliant plans is to make a literal witch's brew that's supposed to erase your memory. As it just so happens, one of Max's family members is a witch (?) and they get the recipe from her. The friends get Isaac to drink the brew, hoping it'll make him forget the fact that he's been, ya know, kidnapped, and the wanna-be-witches even do a naked dancing ritual around a bonfire, so it should totally work, right?
Well, the next morning, it looks like it actually might have. Isaac seems to have forgotten everything that happened after having sex with Iris, but...it's all a lie. When he goes to fetch something he says he forgot in the car, he hops in and drives away, manically trying to get away from the people that have been holding him hostage. Turns out he overheard the whole plan being hatched and played along until he could make his escape.
With Isaac speeding away as if fleeing for his life, he ends up crashing the car on a rain-soaked road. But when police find the wreck, Isaac is nowhere to be seen. Iris heads out, frantically looking for Isaac, and she finally finds him down in a valley. He's hurt his ankle and can't really walk any further, so once again, he's forced into a conversation. But this time, the two talk and are actually able to reach some level of understanding about where the other person is coming from. Iris tells Isaac that she wanted him to be upfront about his intentions and that his sudden declaration left her feeling totally hopeless. They're both able to accept blame for where they went wrong (although, let's be real, where Iris went wrong was committing a literal crime, so probably a little worse than what Isaac did).
Paramedics take Isaac away in an ambulance and he and Iris are finally able to go their separate ways. We're left not really sure where Isaac and Iris go from here, or whether they keep in touch. It's all kinda ambiguous, just like their relationship!

Just when track and field starts to fade from the consciousness of the average casual like myself, here comes Noah Lyles injecting new life into the sport with another of his antics that force you to pay attention. On Sunday, it was Lyles staring down Kenny Bednarek as the two crossed the 200m finish line at the U.S. track and field championships after Lyles walked down his fellow Olympian to earn the win. The race itself was phenomenal. Bednarek had Lyles beat -- until Lyles hit another gear for the final few yards and pulled ahead. But what Lyles did in victory -- and how Bednarek reacted -- is why anyone is talking about it today. The stare down made for a colddddd photo finish, but Bednarek understandably wasn't here for it -- especially with Lyles seemingly slowing down in front of him to make sure Bednarek acknowledged what just took place. As the NBC broadcaster said, "the little look over and the discussion after is to make sure that he asserts his dominance." So, Bednarek gave Lyles a little shove, and the two exchanged words all the way into the post-race interview. It was absolute cinema. Admittedly, as much fun as I'm having with this today, I find these kind of gimmicks from Lyles to be somewhat off-putting. From him going after NBA players over shoes and "world" championships to his Yu-Gi-Oh! card pulls. There's a thin line between endearing braggadocio and annoying attention-seeking, and Lyles leans more toward the latter for me. But in an individual sport like track that only reaches mainstream audiences through stars, the tactics an athlete uses to cut through the noise are less important than whether they actually back it up once they do. And Lyles usually backs it up. That's why he has a perpetual license to taunt as much as he wants. On Sunday, it made for a moment we're still talking about the next day. More importantly, it made the next meeting between Lyles and Bednarek appointment viewing, with Bednarek saying "next time we line up, Ima win." We can't wait to see him try. An MLB Speedway Classic champion crowned After a false start Saturday, MLB's Speedway Classic finally got off the ground Sunday and ended better than it started when fans on social media were comparing the event to the disastrous Fyre Festival. In the end, the Atlanta Braves came away with the win over the Cincinnati Reds, and even picked up some hardware for their troubles. No really, the Braves got a trophy for this thing. A giant trophy at that. Social media had a ball with this one too, because of course it did. We have a trade The top team in the WNBA just got a little better Sunday, as the Minnesota Lynx pulled off a trade to acquire DiJonai Carrington from the Dallas Wings. Minnesota had to give up promising young forward Diamond Miller in the deal, but Carrington gives the team a veteran on the wing who's playoff-tested and ready to contribute to winning right away. FTW's Meg Hall graded the deal favorably for the Lynx: "Bringing in Carrington does a few things for Reeve's squad. First, it adds valuable guard and wing depth. Carrington is more comfortable as a wing, but could take over point guard duties if necessary. She can even start if they need her to, which is huge. With that in mind, veteran Kayla McBride has to be jumping for joy right now. Carrington will fit nicely as depth behind her, and because she's an excellent defender, it takes a lot more pressure off McBride to have to be everything all at once." Did you pull six cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket? Here's why
I play Pokémon TCG Pocket every day, and I have since it launched. With somewhere north of 6,000 cards in my collection, it's my most-played mobile game to date — so when I pulled six cards instead of five, it blew my mind. After opening hundreds of packs, I only expected five cards. The sight of a sixth one had me Googling whether it was a bug or something I'd missed. As it turns out, the most recent update (the addition of the Wisdom of Sea and Sky packs) added a slight possibility that players could pull six cards instead. It's like a regular pack plus one card, and that last pull often contains a baby Pokémon like Pichu, Cleffa, or Elekid. The feature is a nod to Pokémon Gold and Silver, just like the pack itself. With Ho-Oh and Lugia as the respective legendaries of the two games, it's no real surprise they make an appearance as the card art — but Gold and Silver also introduced the idea of 'baby' Pokémon, pre-evolutions to existing favorites. Recommended Videos When you draw a sixth Pokémon card, the animation is slightly different, but it took a couple of times before I actually noticed the tweaks. The change is subtle, so you might not realize it until you're staring down at six cards in total. Players have roughly an 8.33% chance to pull a sixth card out of a normal pack. Each of the two packs offers a different set of Pokémon, with the Ho-Oh set offering Magby, Smoochum, and Tyrogue, while the Lugia set offers Pichi, Elekid, and Cleffa. So far, it seems like the six-card draws are the only way to organically obtain a baby Pokémon (not counting Togepi, which can appear in any set). That means the actual chance of drawing some of these cards, like the coveted 1-star Pichu, is close to 1%. If you want to get your hands on them, you'll need to play regularly and take advantage of hourglass draws, too. The good news is that the dev team just awarded players an extra 10,000 Trade Tokens, and you can exchange 60 of these for 60 Pack Hourglasses. You can also exchange 100 Trade Tokens for 1,000 Shinedust for trading with other players, so it's slightly easier to get your hands on the cards you're missing. All in all, you have around a 29% chance to pull a baby Pokémon as your sixth card. Aside from the adorable card art, these picks offer something else, too: the potential for a free ability. While their attacks don't inflict damage, they do give you an edge. For instance, Cleffa can use Twinkly Call to put a random 'mon in your hand, while Magby can use Toasty Toss to attach a fire energy from to a Pokémon on the bench. All of the baby Pokémon only have 30 HP, so they're vulnerable to even weak attacks. They aren't currently able to evolve into higher-stage Pokémon, either, so playing them is a bit of a risk. These are great for early-game rushes, but you need a strategy in place to get them off the field once they've served their purpose. That holds especially true in Pokémon TCG Pocket with its much faster-paced gameplay. This update feels like one of the best ones yet, and while it isn't confirmed, the chance to pull better cards feels slightly higher compared to earlier sets. It's a good time to be a Pokémon fan, especially with Pokémon Legends: Z-A launching soon and Pokémon Champions just around the corner.
