Scott, the founder of her eponymous brand, has an estimated net worth of US$900 million, placing her at No 41 on Forbes' current list of America's richest self-made women. Her engagement comes amid tensions between Brown and his ex-wife, actress-model and stuntwoman Kelly Yazdi, as they navigate a legal battle following their divorce early last year.

Beyond her personal life, Scott recently made headlines when she joined the 17th season of Shark Tank as a guest shark. Through multiple appearances on the Emmy-winning series, she has shared insights into her success with aspiring entrepreneurs.
Here's what to know about jewellery mogul Kendra Scott.
She's a mother of three

The engagement is far from Scott's first. Scott has been married three times before and is a proud mother to three sons – Cade and Beck from her first marriage to John Scott, and Grey, whom she shares with her second husband, Matt Davis. She was married to Thomas Evans from 2022 to 2024.
Despite the twists and turns in her romantic life, Scott stayed grounded around what matters most. Last December, on the podcast Making Space, she reflected on how her personal values have shaped her leadership. 'I want [my employees] to put their family first, and I trust and believe them that they'll do their job, whatever that looks like,' she said. 'If they're there for their families, I know they're going to be much happier in their work, right?'
Her entrepreneurial journey began at 19

Scott grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin, before moving to Houston, Texas, at 16 with her mother and stepfather. From an early age, she was surrounded by people who embodied passion and dedication – especially her mother, a beauty consultant at Mary Kay, who inspired Scott to pursue entrepreneurship, per Tampa Magazine.

Trump to impose 25% tariff on India from August 1, adding penalty for Russia ties
US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he would impose a 25 per cent tariff on goods from India, plus an additional import tax because of India's purchasing of Russian oil. Trump said on social media on Wednesday that India 'is our friend' but its 'Tariffs are far too high' on US goods. The Republican president added that India buys military equipment and oil from Russia, which Trump said had enabled the war in Ukraine. As a result, he intended to charge an additional 'penalty' starting on Friday as part of the launch of the administration's revised tariffs on multiple countries. Trump did not specify what the penalty he referred to for Russian trade will be. The measure comes as the 79-year-old Republican has signalled he intends to tighten US pressure on Moscow to halt fighting in Ukraine and negotiate a peace deal. On Tuesday, Trump said he was giving Russian President Vladimir Putin 10 days – which would mean the end of next week – to change course in Ukraine or face unspecified punishment. 'We're going to put on tariffs and stuff,' he said, but 'I don't know if it's going to affect Russia because obviously he wants to keep the war going.'

The Naked Gun movie review: Liam Neeson plays bumbling cop in hilarious comedy reboot
3.5/5 stars It has been more than three decades since Leslie Nielsen's bumbling police detective last cracked a case, but now The Naked Gun returns, with Liam Neeson assuming the role of Lieutenant Frank Drebin Jr in a belated sequel every bit as childish, ridiculous and laugh-out-loud funny as its predecessors. The film is produced by Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy and Ted, and directed by Akiva Schaffer, who is one-third of the comedy troupe The Lonely Island. It also stars Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser and Danny Huston, who all help unleash an unstoppable barrage of puns, sight gags and ludicrous set-ups. Frank (Neeson) has followed in his father's footsteps and joined the LAPD's Police Squad. When a mysterious electronic 'P.L.O.T. Device' is stolen, all clues point to scheming tech billionaire Richard Cane (Huston). Play Frank is also approached by sultry femme fatale Beth Davenport (Anderson), who believes that her brother's mysterious death is linked to Cane's plans, and sparks soon fly between them. The original Naked Gun, released in 1988, was created by David Zucker, Jim Abrahams and Jerry Zucker (or 'ZAZ' as they are known) and was born out of the short-lived Police Squad television show that was taken off air after four episodes.
