Jamshedpur FC vs Hyderabad FC Live Football Streaming For Kalinga Super Cup 2025 Round of 16 Match:
After securing a top-five finish in the Indian Super League (ISL), Jamshedpur FC are now set to battle it out in the Kalinga Super Cup. The Red Miners will clash against fellow ISL side, Hyderabad FC, in the tournament opener. The match is slated to be played at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar on Thursday, April 25.
Jamshedpur put up a scintillating performance in the group stage of the last Super Cup. They won three matches in a row, but failed to surpass eventual champions East Bengal in the semi-finals. If Jamshedpur beat Hyderabad in the Round of 16 fixture, they will be up against either NorthEast United or Mohammedan SC in the knockout round.
Hyderabad FC had a disastrous ISL campaign this season. They managed only four wins in 24 matches and finished in the second-last spot in the final league standings. Hyderabad were winless in the previous edition of the Super Cup. Sharing the group with East Bengal, Sreenidi Deccan and Mohun Bagan Super Giants, the Nizams lost all of their league matches. This time, a solitary win will be enough for Hyderabad to reach the last four of the Super Cup.

11 Players Still Missing From Khalid Jamil's First India Camp, Here's Why
Khalid Jamil faces player shortages at India camp for CAFA Nations Cup, with clubs still holding back 11 key names. Newly-appointed India men's football head coach Khalid Jamil has been left with only 25 of the 35 players he has called for his first national camp ahead of the CAFA Nations Cup in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. India face co-host Tajikistan on August 29 in Hisor to kick off the tournament. The camp began on August 16 with 22 players. Three additional players — Jamshedpur FC's Manvir Singh and Albino Gomes and new addition Muhammed Uvais from Punjab FC — joined the camp on Monday to take the numbers to 25, but Uvais was not in the original 35. Hence, after five training sessions across almost a week, 11 players are yet to join it. Mohun Bagan Super Giant did not release seven players — Anirudh Thapa, Deepak Tangri, Lalengmawia Ralte, Liston Colaco, Manvir Singh, Sahal Abdul Samad, and Vishal Kaith. They believe it was not mandatory to do so since the tournament doesn't fall under the FIFA international window. East Bengal lost their Durand Cup semifinal match on Wednesday but it is still not clear if and when their three players selected for the camp — Anwar Ali, Jeakson Singh and Naorem Mahesh Singh — will join the camp. NorthEast United have one player called up, Jithin MS, but the club has made it to the Durand Cup final to be played on Saturday. It needs to be seen how long after that he would be allowed to join the camp. Jamil is said to be keeping a keen eye on the Durand Cup, hoping the remaining players will be made available by their respective clubs. 'My doors are always open to every player. Some players may not be in the squad right now because I want to try a few other less-tested ones, but rest assured, we will bring our best available squad for the Asian Cup qualifiers," Jamil said. Meanwhile, there are four first-timers in the camp — defenders Uvais, Alex Saji, Sunil Benchamin, and forward Manvir Singh. Manvir, 24, said he has been waiting for this moment. 'I've waited six years to put on this jersey once again," he said in an All India Football Federation (AIFF) release. The last time he was a part of the national team setup was back in 2019, when he represented the India U19s in the AFC U19 Championship (now Asian Cup) Qualifiers. 'As a striker in India, I know how difficult it is to get a chance. I got that during the Durand Cup and gave my best," said Manvir. 'Now I feel like I have another chance, and I cannot afford to miss it. I have played under the coach (Khalid Jamil), and he knows my capabilities. I've just promised myself that if he gives me a chance, I have to take it, I must repay his trust." Army man Benchamin got his maiden national camp call-up at the age of 32. The last player from the Army to represent the Blue Tigers was forward Subir Sarkar 40 years ago. Meanwhile, Uvais' performance during the Durand Cup was enough to convince head coach Jamil. 'I think my performances with Punjab FC played a big role (in the call-up). It's surreal to be called up to the national camp. Back home, everyone is proud," he said. view comments First Published: August 21, 2025, 18:27 IST News sports 11 Players Still Missing From Khalid Jamil's First India Camp, Here's Why Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Ronaldo Gets Hero's Welcome Where Messi Is Hated As Al Nassr Beat Al Ittihad In Saudi Super Cup
Cristiano Ronaldo got a hero's welcome in Hong Kong, helping Al Nassr win 2-1 in the Saudi Super Cup. This contrasts with Lionel Messi's negative reception last year. Cristiano Ronaldo received a hero's welcome on Tuesday as he played a key role for Saudi side Al Nassr in Hong Kong. This contrasted sharply with the reception Lionel Messi faced last year when he failed to play, turning him into public enemy number one. The 40-year-old former Manchester United and Real Madrid star Ronaldo assisted in a 2-1 Saudi Super Cup victory over Al Ittihad, which featured French veteran Karim Benzema up front. From the moment Ronaldo came out to warm up on the hot and humid evening in southern China, chants of 'Ronaldo, Ronaldo" filled the air, while several pitch invaders attempted to reach the superstar as the match concluded. Every touch of the ball by the Portuguese captain, donned in his iconic number seven shirt, was met with cheers. This warm reception was in stark contrast to the angry reaction Messi received when he stayed on the bench for an Inter Miami friendly at the same Hong Kong Stadium in February last year. Messi's absence led to boos and demands for refunds from thousands of fans who had paid significant amounts to see the World Cup-winning captain play. Although the 38-year-old Messi claimed he was injured, this explanation failed to prevent a dramatic fallout, which resulted in China cancelling two friendly matches featuring Argentina. Some nationalist politicians and media outlets in China interpreted Messi's absence, along with his subsequent appearance at a similar match in Japan, as a deliberate snub. For over 15 years, Messi and Ronaldo have competed for the unofficial title of the world's best player, with the Argentine often considered to have the edge in recent years. Nevertheless, both remain immensely popular and marketable, even as their careers approach the twilight. Fans camped outside Ronaldo's hotel in Hong Kong to catch a glimpse of him, with some even booking rooms in his hotel. A museum dedicated to Ronaldo opened in the city last month. Local media reported that Ronaldo was 'emotional" when informed about the local interest, particularly from younger fans, during a brief appearance at the museum. He expressed that the fans' admiration meant more to him than any trophy. Former Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane put Al Nassr ahead before Al Ittihad quickly equalised. Mane was sent off after 25 minutes following a VAR review. Ronaldo had a couple of close chances six minutes before halftime but was thwarted on both occasions, later sending a free-kick narrowly over the bar. He set up the winning goal by breaking clear of the Al Ittihad defence and passing to fellow Portuguese Joao Felix, a new signing from Chelsea, who then scored. As Ronaldo was substituted in the final minute, a young fan wearing a '7 Ronaldo" shirt invaded the pitch but was stopped by security before managing to take a selfie with him. After the final whistle, two more young fans attempted to reach Ronaldo but were subdued by security.
