Brazil international Alexsandro evokes Lille future
Alexsandro (25) has bolstered his reputation in recent weeks. After a successful season in the UEFA Champions League and Ligue 1 with Lille OSC, the centre-back has now made the step up to the international stage.
Alexsandro was handed his first call-up by Carlo Ancelotti for the recent international break. His name was previously not on the radar, however, not only has he now made his debut, he has started both of Brazil's games and now looks to be in contention to be a regular starter for the Seleçao.

Speaking after his second match for Brazil, a 1-0 win over Paraguay, Alexsandro was grateful to his club. 'When I came on the pitch, I really think about my team (Lille), my President (Olivier Létang), and my teammates… I played for them tonight,' he said in a post-match interview transcribed by L'Équipe.
The defender then went on to evoke his future with LOSC. 'It depends on President Létang. You'd have to ask him. I am calm and not in any rush to leave. He will decide my future,' said the centre-back.
As per Foot Mercato, Lille are indeed anticipating interest in Alexsandro, as well as his centre-back partner, Bafodé Diakité, this summer. One of them could leave the club, therefore, during the summer transfer window.

SAO PAULO (AP) — Khaby Lame, the world's most-followed TikTok personality who left the U.S. after being detained by immigration agents, went to Brazil where he's been spending some time with friends, local authorities said Thursday. Lame is staying with AC Milan player Emerson Royal, and has been enjoying time with local fans, Paulo Eduardo Dias Junior, a city councilman from Americana, about 78 miles (125 kilometers) northwest of Sao Paulo, told The Associated Press. On Wednesday night, they played a friendly soccer match with locals. Lame left the United States after being detained on June 6 by immigration agents at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas for allegedly overstaying his visa. The Senegalese-Italian influencer, whose legal name is Seringe Khabane Lame, was allowed to leave the country without a deportation order, according to a statement from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Junior organized Wednesday's match on behalf of the nonprofit he leads, Instituto Jr Dias. He said that Lame and Royal's participation helped collect 150 food baskets for vulnerable families. 'Emerson Royal is a role model for the children in our community, and so is Khaby, who is globally known through social media. He's a sensation among kids today,' Junior said. 'He had a lot of fun with the kids and played a lot.' The councilman said that the team that Lame and Royal were on won 3-1. Everything went smoothly, he added, except for the post-match celebration. As is tradition in Brazil, players gathered for a barbecue. But Lame preferred a parmegiana, so they took him to a local restaurant, Junior said. This is not Lame's first time in Brazil. Woody Johnson makes £190m bid for Textor's Crystal Palace shares as Uefa delays decision
The New York Jets owner, Woody Johnson, has offered £190m to buy John Textor's stake in Crystal Palace. The move comes with Uefa expected to delay until the end of the month a decision on whether the club will be allowed to compete in next season's Europa League. The offer from Johnson, the former US ambassador to the UK, has the backing of Palace's co-chair Steve Parish and is believed to be under consideration by Textor despite falling significantly short of his valuation of about £240m for his 44.9% stake. Textor is understood to be prepared to accept up to £50m less than his valuation after Harris and Blitzer turned down an opportunity to buy his stake at the discounted price.
