Emergency services were called to help the 20-year-old woman.
An investigation has been launched in Brazil after a young woman died with dozens of iPhones glued to her body.

The 20-year-old tragically collapsed on a bus travelling through Guarapuava, in the central state of Paraná, and later died despite efforts from medics to save her, according to the Mirror.

She had been on a long-distance coach that stopped at a roadside restaurant when she suddenly took ill. Paramedics from Brazil's Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) were called and found her awake but struggling to breathe.

But her condition rapidly worsened. She began showing signs consistent with a seizure and respiratory distress before going into cardiac arrest.
Paramedics attempted to revive the woman for around 45 minutes, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was only while medics were treating her that they made the bizarre discovery that several packages, including 26 iPhones, had been strapped to her body.

There were no drugs found on her after a police sniffer dog was brought in. But investigators from Brazil's Scientific Police and Civil Police were called and discovered several bottles of alcohol in her luggage, which were seized.
"The Paraná Civil Police are investigating the case and awaiting the conclusion of forensic reports to clarify the cause of death. According to preliminary information, the woman, who was alone, was traveling from Foz do Iguaçu to São Paulo. The 26 cell phones that were glued to her body were seized and sent to the Federal Revenue Service," police said according to Brazilian news outlet Globo.

The identity of the woman has not been released by authorities. An investigation remains ongoing.
In a separate incident, also in Brazil, a TV journalist was left shaken after being mugged just moments before going live on air.
Clara Nery, a correspondent for the Band network, was on a sidewalk in Botafogo, a neighbourhood in southern Rio de Janeiro, when the drama unfolded on Monday, July 28.

She had been preparing to go live for the Bora Brasil morning programme when a man on a motorbike swooped in and tried to grab her phone.

While driving past Clara, the assailant can be seen reaching out and swiping the journalist's phone from her hand.

The clip shows Clara screaming out in shock and letting out a swear word before lunging after her phone and disappearing from the camera's view.
Clara later confirmed the mugger was unable to steal and make off with her device as she had a firm grip on it. She said: 'I had my back turned when this man rode by on a motorcycle on the sidewalk and tried to take my phone. In the video, you can see the moment he puts his hand on my phone and takes it from me.
'Luckily, and despite his lack of skill, I managed to retrieve the phone. But we already have the security camera footage, the camera that managed to focus on his face.'

Who is Tia Wardley in Coronation Street? True identity 'solved' in Lisa twist

Coronation Street fans think they know who Tia Wardley really is after Carla Connor was given the name by Logan Radcliffe after asking about Lisa Swain's late wife Becky Tia Wardley in Coronation Street has certainly got viewers speculating over their mystery identity. ‌ The name was mentioned on Friday, and it was hinted they were linked to the case surrounding Becky Swain's demise. Lisa Swain is still struggling to move past the death of her police officer wife Becky years earlier, even looking into the case. ‌ It comes after suggestion earlier this year that Becky may have been a corrupt officer, leading to her possibly being killed. Becky died in the line of duty, hit by a car which was later revealed to have been driven by Logan and Matty Radcliffe. ‌ It was their hints about Becky that left Lisa fearing Becky was in trouble and may have deliberately been killed. But as she and others went snooping this week, she was stopped by her superior DI Costello who clearly knows more than he's letting on. He won't go into matters with Lisa and threatened punishment when he caught her looking at files on his computer. With Carla Connor trying to help her parnter Lisa get the answer she desperately needs, she went to see Logan in prison. ‌ All Logan would say was the name Tia Wardley, demanding money for any new information. But something happened to Logan before anyone would have the chance to see him again. It was because of the chat with Carla and the name he'd shared that he learned from a cellmate how he'd upset a "mutual friend". It seems Logan then got a beating or worse, with fans convinced he may be dead. ‌ So who is Tia, and why are so many people covering up what went down? Why is Costello so eager to silence any investigation into Becky's death, and why is it so important that Logan doesn't spill anything about Becky, or even the mystery Tia? Fans think it has everything to do with Tia's identity, and that she and Becky may be linked. In fact fans think Becky isn't actually dead, and she could have been given a new identity. Fans are wondering if Tia is Becky under a new name, and that there is much more to be exposed. Perhaps this is why Logan mentioned the name, or maybe why Costello is possibly covering things up. ‌ Get the latest drama from the Dales by joining our Emmerdale WhatsApp group As drama continues to unfold in the Yorkshire Dales, the Mirror has launched its very own Emmerdale WhatsApp community where you'll get all the latest breaking news, secrets, and spoilers delivered straight to your phone. Could that be Becky's cover name if she was corrupt?" A third fan said: "Becky is 'Tia Wardley'?" A fourth fan posted: "Tia Wardley will be Becky?!" as another agreed: "Could 'Tia Wardley' be Becky's new identity since after she 'died'?" The comments kept on coming too, with one fan writing: "Becky swain is Tia Wardley." A final comment said: "Becky is in witness protection and Tia Wardley is her alias, that's why Carla couldn't find anything and why they don't want Lisa AND Kit digging."

Man murdered by ex-girlfriend on Christmas Day tragically predicted his own death

WARNING: DISTRESSING DETAILS. Louis Price, who was murdered by his abusive ex-girlfriend Kirsty Carless in the early hours of Christmas morning, confided in a friend about his tragic fears, mere weeks before his death Tragic Louis Price, who died at the hands of his '"manipulative, emotionally volatile, and jealous' ex, predicted 'something bad would happen' shortly before his death. ‌ The 31-year-old had suffered horrific abuse by his former girlfriend Kirsty Carless, who was this week jailed for life, of which she must serve a minimum of 25 years, after being found guilty of Louis' murder. ‌ Stafford Crown Court heard how killer Carless, 33, had already been on police bail for strangling Louis the month before she brutally murdered him, in an act "motivated by anger and jealousy and fuelled by cocaine and alcohol". ‌ Father-of-six Louis had been considered by police officers to be 'at very high risk of domestic abuse'. Following the strangulation incident on November 11, 2024, Louis had called 999, telling of how Carless had poured bleach over tracksuits worth £400 after putting them in the bin. He'd also said she'd thrown a glass candle holder at him, pulled him down the stairs, and choked him. In a harrowing witness statement, Louis described how the relationship, which began in 2021, had been 'on the whole, abusive', adding that Carless had stopped him doing things he enjoyed, such as playing football, as well as physically abusing him. Hauntingly, at a funeral held at the end of November 2024, Louis confided in his friend Demi-Louise Deakin about his on-off relationship with Carless, admitting he was 'scared of Kirsty' and feared that 'something bad would happen' if he did not leave her. Mere weeks later, he was dead. ‌ It comes after a woman, 20, was found dead on bus with 26 iPhones glued to her body. The terrible events that unfolded began on Christmas Eve 2024, an evening which Carless, from Cannock, Staffordshire, spent at the pub drinking double vodka and cokes with a male friend. She then went back to this man's house, where they had sex. ‌ It was at around 1.30 am on Christmas Day that a female friend sent Carless a screenshot of Louis' Tinder profile. Furious, Carless took a taxi back to her house, where she collected a kitchen knife. She then ordered another taxi to Louis' parents' home, where he'd been staying since the abusive relationship ended. While waiting for this second taxi, Carless called Louis repeatedly, with call records showing she rang him a total of 45 times between 2.15 am and 2.44 am. Once she arrived at his family home, Carless asked the driver to wait outside. ‌ About 20 seconds after Carless let herself into the property with a key, the driver heard a 'very loud and prolonged' scream from a man who 'sounded scared'. Disturbing CCTV footage shows Carless running up Louis' front garden path into the house before 'stalking' him around the garden. He was later found on the floor of the conservatory, with a single stab wound to the chest. Less than two minutes after they pulled up, an 'anxious and sweating' Carless got back into the taxi and demanded the driver take her back to her parents' home. It was then that she confessed what she had done, and 999 was called. ‌ Giving evidence to the trial, Carless claimed she had no recollection of stabbing Louis. Stating she was 'not a violent person' Carless told the court she'd only gone to Louis' address as she believed he'd taken money from a card she had in her home. After picking up a knife with the intent to destroy the caravan Louis had been staying in in his parents' back garden, Carless claimed she'd 'panicked' after he was stabbed and fled the scene. As well as being found unanimously guilty of murder and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, Carless was also found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm relating to a previous incident, but cleared of intentional strangulation.
