Bayer Leverkusen are considering a move for Jadon Sancho, as he faces up to another move abroad in order to re-ignite his career.
The Manchester United winger has had limited impact in a loan move at Chelsea FC, who will only decide whether they want to take up a permanent option after a post-season summit.

Former club Borussia Dortmund are also understood to have passed up the chance of a deal.
Bayer Leverkusen are nevertheless understood to be pondering a deal, due to Sancho's previous impact in the Bundesliga.
The 25-year-old has 40 goals and 47 assists in 118 appearances during previous spells for Dortmund. By contrast, he only has three goals and five assists in 30 Premier League games for Chelsea.
United are desperate to make sales this summer, and Sancho has long been on the market, going back to a difficult spell under previous manager Erik ten Hag.
The winger, also has interest from Serie A, never fully settled after an expensive move in 2021, only ever showing flashes of the form he produced for Dortmund.

Leverkusen are currently deciding on a shortlist of managers to replace Real Madrid-bound Xabi Alonso, and one of those is Ten Hag.
If they do choose the Dutch coach, it is likely that any interest in Sancho would end.

Cole Palmer handed Mykhailo Mudryk's No. 10 shirt number at Chelsea
Chelsea have confirmed that Cole Palmer has been given the No. 10 shirt and will wear it at the Club World Cup starting later this month. Palmer has worn No. 20 since joining from Manchester City in September 2023 but makes the switch with immediate effect. Chelsea kick off their campaign in FIFA's newly-expanded tournament against Los Angeles FC in Atlanta on June 16. Advertisement Mykhailo Mudryk had previously worn the No. 10 shirt at Stamford Bridge. The 24-year-old has not played for Chelsea since being provisionally suspended by the Football Association (FA) in December after testing positive for meldonium, a banned substance. The Ukraine international's last appearance for the club came in the Conference League away at Heidenheim on November 28, scoring in the 2-0 win, and he has not been pictured at a Chelsea game since his provisional suspension. 🧊🔟 — Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) June 5, 2025 Chelsea also confirmed on Thursday that new signing Liam Delap has been handed the No. 9 jersey following his transfer from Ipswich Town. The 22-year-old completed his £30million ($40m) move on Wednesday, signing a six-year deal. Chelsea's No. 9 has been vacant since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's departure Marseille in the summer of 2023. Romelu Lukaku and Tammy Abraham previously wore the No. 9. Chelsea say the full list of squad numbers for the 2025-26 season will be finalised once the summer transfer window has shut. ()

Richard Hughes' £18m transfer GAMBLE pays off
Richard Hughes pockets up to £18m for Kelleher The Scot has been winning over the doubters since his appointment - and don't forget one of his first tasks was landing Arne Slot. Liverpool have won the Premier League on the back of that appointment - and Hughes has certainly got more right than he has wrong so far throughout his tenure. Advertisement The club have sold well - including getting a cash deal for Alexander-Arnold when he had no intention of signing a new contract. Sepp van den Berg and Fabio Carvalho were sold to Brentford last summer for a combined total of over £50m. And Hughes has repeated the trick - getting up to £18m for reserve goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. The 26-year-old only had one year left on his deal and has featured in fewer than 70 first-team games throughout six seasons at the club. He moves for a fee which could put him inside the top 10 for most expensive goalkeepers transferred between Premier League clubs. © IMAGO Kelleher grows over the course of the season That is a solid return on a goalkeeper who joined as a youth aged 15 and leaves behind Alisson Becker and Giorgi Mamardashvili in the pecking order. Advertisement It's true Liverpool might have banked more than that last summer but no offer reached what Hughes and the club deemed to be fair value. The terms of the deal have changed now of course - with Kelleher only 12 months away from being a free agent. But keeping Kelleher at the club is a transfer gamble which paid off. He played 20 times in all competitions for the Reds last season - making excellent contributions in the Premier League and Champions League and even had backing from several voices to replace Alisson on a regular basis. The Ireland international grew as a goalkeeper over the course of the last 12 months - becoming a commanding figure and demonstrating exactly why he deserves to be a No1 somewhere. © IMAGO Kelleher a difference-maker in title win Would Liverpool have been as successful this season with a less capable deputy? It's impossible to say but Arne Slot barely missed Alisson during his injury absences thanks to Kelleher. Advertisement The goalkeeper department at Anfield is set for a big shakeup this summer with Mamardashvili coming in from Valencia. He will go toe to toe with Alisson for the starting gloves and there was never going to be room for another excellent shotstopper in Kelleher. If he is too good to be a No2, then he is definitely too good to be a No3. Hughes looks like he played the situation really well in difficult circumstances. He stuck to his guns over Kelleher's valuation and that decision certainly helped Liverpool win the league. Now he's bolstered the coffers - with a sum that could cover more than half of the Mamardashvili fee through the sale of a third-choice goalkeeper who cost practically nothing.

Real Madrid Shortlists This Striker As Latest Signing
Real Madrid is interested in signing a veteran striker and has already shortlisted a La Liga star in that respect according to Mundo Deportivo, which cited anonymous sources. Because of newfound domestic dominance from bitter rival FC Barcelona, and being outclassed by Arsenal on the continent in the Champions League quarterfinals, Madrid finished this season without major silverware. Its 2023/2024 campaign under the since departed Carlo Ancelotti was a different story, however, with Los Blancos enjoying a European Cup, La Liga and Super Cup treble. One of the unexpected heroes of that immortal campaign of course, however, was Joselu. Coming off the bench to sink Bayern Munich in a dramatic UCL semifinal second leg at the Bernabeu, he then fled to Qatar for what should be one last big career day in his mid-30s. Though Kylian Mbappe did a fine job in a new role as a central number 9, winning Europe's Golden Boot in the process, perhaps one of the reasons for coming up short last time round was the lack of a veteran marksman who could come off the bench and score a much-needed goal. Under Xabi Alonso in 2025/2026, Madrid seeks to provide the legendary midfielder with such an option by pursuing Ante Budimir according to Mundo Deportivo. Scoring 24 goals and providing four assists as Osasuna finished ninth and only just missed out on European qualification to Rayo Vallecano, Budimir turns 34 on July 22 and can be picked up for a cut fee. That's around $9 million (€8 million) if his next stop is elsewhere in Spain, with another couple of million euros slapped on to the price if a potential suitor is located elsewhere. If Budimir could be bought and scores the important goals to land titles like Joselu did, his transfer would pretty much end up paying for itself. Though Kylian Mbappe will likely remain Xabi Alonso's first choice for the striker's position, bringing in Budimir would obviously give the ex-Leverkusen tactician further options up front. Essentially, the potential new acquisition would battle for leftover minutes with Endrick, who enjoyed little prominence on Ancelotti's watch at Real Madrid but could now be reunited with him on international duty for Brazil.
