I wear this Mango skirt nearly every day - so I've just bought it in another colour

A part of my job is to scroll the new-in sections to help inspire your wardrobe. Admittedly, this means I'm often tempted to add to my own wardrobe. But there are a few important shopping rules that I follow when I'm making a new purchase to avoid disappointment down the road. Top of the list? Don't buy something just because it's 'in fashion'. As a simple dresser, I'd rarely encourage buying into trends. Instead, I'd always suggest looking for timeless, well-made staples that will elevate your wardrobe. But I'm not immune to the trend cycle either and every now and again, when a micro-trend crops up that I see going the distance, I break my rule. Case in point for the poplin midi skirt. At the start of summer, I wouldn't have looked at it twice. But here I am, after a parade of influencers on Instagram showed me just how versatile the cotton skirt can be, and one thing is clear: the poplin midi skirt is here to stay. So, a few weeks ago, I pulled the trigger and bought the white flared cotton skirt (£45.99) from Mango. Mango Flared Cotton Skirt £45.99 Shop The A-line design is simple but super flattering, with an elastic waistband that is cleverly hidden. And thanks to the deep hem, which hits just right (for reference: I'm 5'8), the skirt looks far more expensive than its high street price tag. There's a matching cotton crop top (£25.99) for a total look, but it's not very office-appropriate. Luckily, I've got plenty of tops in my wardrobe that easily team with the white skirt, including a sleeveless linen knit, a white bandeau top and a navy peplum top. Mango Flared Cotton Skirt £45.99 Shop While the hardest-working pieces in my summer wardrobe remain my dresses, I have found myself reaching for this Mango skirt more than I thought I would, which is why I've decided to buy it in another colour. There is a red version, but I've gone for black (boring, I know) as it acts as a blank canvas for my chunky gold jewellery and raffia accessories to sit against.

You can shop ASOS IRL at the brand's first-ever U.S. pop-up this week in NYC

Want to give your wardrobe a summery boost? You can do what you usually do and give the "New In" section of ASOS a quick digital browse— or you can shop that beloved British retailer IRL at the brand's first-ever U.S. pop-up store, which has taken over Soho 's 120 Wooster Street through Sunday, June 22. 'Bringing its trend-forward aesthetic to SoHo, NYC, one of the city's most iconic neighbourhoods for style and culture," per the brand, the immersive two-story pop-up shop features a curated edit of spring/summer 2025 styles across women's and men's clothing, accessories, and shoes, spanning exclusive drops, seasonal pieces and e-commerce collections. Shoppers are able to peruse both ASOS-owned and partner brands, including Arrange, ASOS's "premium, craft-focused label designed in London by a women-led team (and yes, that does mean dresses with pockets)" that launched this past March. And as with the usual ASOS digital experience, the sartorial stock at the pop-up boutique is separated into themed sections (think "Euro Summer" and "Party Vibes"), with items priced between ten bucks and $300. Can't find your size or favorite color in store? Given that ASOS is first and foremost an "e-tailer," customers will be able to scan the QR code on any given item, which will then take them to the product's specific purchase URL on the ASOS website. The UK-based fashion giant, which boasts 20 million active customers in over 200 markets worldwide, debuted its first pop-up store in London in November 2023. And if all goes well in New York, the retailer will continue to expand its physical presence stateside with even more planned activations throughout the U.S. "Right now, this is a test-and-learn moment," Sean Trend, ASOS' Managing Director, told Forbes. "We're focused on making this first activation a success and exploring how we might bring similar experiences to other U.S. cities. While permanent retail isn't the immediate plan, if the response is strong, we would love to take the concept to other cities, and we may even invite our customers to help decide where we go next."

'Christine may not have found love on the show, but she seemed really happy and in a great place. 'Leaving the show was the right decision for her but she loved being back in the mix without the pressure of having to actually date on camera.' MailOnline contacted Channel 4 for comment. Christine announced the news that she had left the show back in May. She had already flown to Ibiza to begin filming the series with the rest of the cast but told fans she was 'returning home to her family' after having a change of heart. Revealing the news on Instagram, she said: 'I joined Celebs Go Dating with great intentions but have realised that dating on a public platform and the attention is brings is just too soon for me.' Christine also said that she may appear in the future, adding: 'They've said the door is always open for me which I'm so grateful but for now I'm returning home to my family.' Paddy and Christine started dating in 2009, two years after they met. The pair tied the knot in 2011. In 2013 they welcomed their twins, followed by their second daughter Felicity in 2016. In July 2022 they revealed that they had split, after 11 years of marriage. The former couple still live together and co-parent their kids. It comes after Celebs Go Dating was thrown into chaos after a star 'stormed off set when filming overran'. Reports shared that Mark was left less than impressed after one of the filming days overran and the stars were on set for 11 hours. A source told The Sun: 'The Beast threw a strop the other week and walked off as filming overran and he wasn't happy about it.' The source claimed that the other celebrities weathered the storm but Mark was so unhappy he 'stormed out' and left filming for the entire day. 'Bosses were scrambling behind the scenes and everyone was really stressed about whether he would come back, but luckily after getting a good night's sleep, Mark calmed down and returned to set the next day,' they added.
