Urgent recall for over 3 million hoses
Meanwhile, the manufacturing date is listed in a month-year format and typically located near the package's barcode. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) advises owners to stop using the hoses immediately, and contact Winston Products for a full refund.
Many summer essentials have been recalled this year due to a variety of health hazards. An urgent recall was issued earlier this month for about five million above-ground swimming pools after a design flaw was linked to nine child drownings.
The recall covered 48-inch and taller pools made by Bestway, Intex, and Polygroup that use compression straps. Endless Pools recalled thousands of pool covers a month prior after discovering they could potentially lead to injury or death.
Like the pool covers, no illnesses or deaths from ingesting the recalled foods were reported. Besides summer essentials, record-breaking recalls have been issued from car manufacturers over issues such as display errors on interior screens and defects that could lead to fires under the hoods.

Rusting Porsche left 60 years in a barn now tipped to sell for £400,000
A rusting Porsche that has been left in a barn for over 60 years is now tipped to sell for a whopping £400,000. The Porsche 356 Speedster was bought in 1955 and after clocking up 62,000 miles in seven years was taken off the road and tucked in a barn in Ohio, America. The classic car was rediscovered after a car expert was given a 'tip off' and it was found with all its silver paintwork peeled off. It has since undergone an extensive restoration - the engine and gearbox have been stripped out and rebuilt and all the carpets and seat coverings were replaced with aged leather. But the left-hand drive Porsche retains its original dashboard, steering wheel and gauges. The car, which is now roadworthy and has been driven recently, has been shipped over to England to be sold in Iconic Auctioneers' forthcoming Silverstone sale. An Iconic Auctioneers spokesperson said: 'Following a tip-off, this early 356 Speedster was uncovered at a smallholding in Ohio, where it had reportedly remained with the same family for over 70 years. 'The engine was disassembled and remarkably, only required new piston rings before being fully inspected and reassembled. 'The matching gearbox was similarly stripped, checked and rebuilt, while the fuel system was recommissioned, retaining the original fuel tank with its attractive patination. 'Externally, every effort was made to preserve the integrity of the original early 356 body. 'It is understood that the Speedster was in regular use only until 1962, covering approximately 60,000 miles before being laid to rest in the barn where it was later discovered. 'At some point early in its life, possibly by the supplying dealership, it was repainted silver, traces of which remain visible on the bodywork today. 'We are informed that the Speedster performs exceptionally well, idling smoothly with no smoke and having completed various trips without issue. 'This is a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptionally well preserved Pre-A 356 Speedster, a model highly regarded for its purity and iconic design. 'From the few Pre-A Speedsters that do make it to market, it is very rare to see a survivor car as many are now restored.' The sale takes place on August 23.

‘The Cadillac, the shadow, the LA sky – it was all laid out for me': Phil Stockbridge's best phone picture
His usual way of taking photos, Phil Stockbridge says, is like an angler waiting for a fish. The LA-based photographer had been working on a commercial shoot on the day he landed this image. 'When I find something interesting to shoot, the main thing that starts to churn in my brain is light and composition. A lot of the time the subject's missing and I'll sit and wait like a fisherman for the right person or car to make the image. Luckily, for this scene, it was all laid out for me.' Stockbridge believes this to be a Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, and notes how he was drawn by 'the shadow of a parking sign, the street lamp in the distance, the LA sky, a slouched fence and the edge of the sidewalk. A Long Beach day turning into a Long Beach night is on full display here. The traffic's dying down, it's getting quieter, cooler. The sun has set and all that's left of it remains in the dark blue sky.' Stockbridge took the image on his phone, later applying edits using VSCO and Lightroom. 'I hope someone seeing this feels a calm washing over them,' he says, 'but I never take photos with the intention of making the viewer feel something. That stuff finds its way afterwards.'

Are you a Ford fan? Imagine having your name on the cars... We catch up with the father and sons running the company
Close In this bonus podcast, Autocar editor-in-chief Steve Cropley meets the Fords. Yes, those ones, whose name is above the door at Ford Motor Company. Ford remains the only major car maker to have been led and controlled by its founding family for the entirety of its existence, in this case 122 years and counting. Steve Cropley recently sat down with Bill Ford – executive chairman and only the fourth Ford family member to sit at the top of the company – and his two sons, Will Ford, general manager of Ford Performance, and Nick Ford, director of corporate strategy. In a wide-ranging discussion, the quartet discuss improving Ford's passenger car 'robustness' in Europe; Ford's enduring commitment to racing, including becoming Red Bull's Formula 1 engine supplier; the move to electrification and why you can't make people buy cars they don't want; the Transit; what it's like to run a family business the size of Ford; and why it's not a family employment agency; plus their favourite cars, and more besides.
