Wednesday night was 'good night' for the Indiana Pacers, who took a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals with a 116-107 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on June 11. The victory is a big one, as after a long wait of 25 years, the Gainbridge Fieldhouse atmosphere looked absolutely bonkers, but the camera person caught the attention of Caitlin Clark in the audience, whose 'choke' gesture during the match is now doing the rounds on social media.
The Indiana Fever star, currently injured, is recovering from a quad injury that kept her out of the last few games. The injured WNBA star was spotted sitting with Fever teammates Natasha Howard and Aliyah Boston as the Indiana Pacers. Well, as it has been the same case throughout the Pacers' playoff run, the cameras continued to Clark for in-game reactions to the action.
Earlier to this, she mocked Knicks player Jalen Brunson's chin-stroking 3-point celebration following the Pacers' upset of New York in the Eastern Conference Finals. But on Wednesday, Clark went with the 'choked sign'.

What is the significance of the 'choke' sign?
In a playful tribute to franchise icon Reggie Miller's legendary 1994 taunt aimed at the Knicks and superfan Spike Lee, as well as a nod to current star Tyrese Haliburton, Clark mimicked the well-known gesture, although unlike her predecessor, she was seen smiling.
According to the Daily Mail, Miller famously flashed a choke sign to the award-winning director, Lee, during the Game 5 rally in the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals.
While the Hall of Fame guard, sitting courtside at Wednesday's game, famously scored 25 points in the fourth quarter to put the Pacers ahead 3-2 in the series, though the Knicks came back to win the next two games and move on to the NBA Finals.

Thunder vs Pacers: Oklahoma City make history with record points in a single NBA season including playoffs

The Oklahoma City Thunder have etched their name into the NBA history books by setting a new record for the most points scored in a single season, including playoffs. With a high-powered offence and consistent performances across the regular season and playoffs, the Thunder surpassed the previous mark set by Golden State Warriors to establish a new standard for scoring excellence. Entering Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the Indiana Pacers , the Thunder needed 68 points to surpass the previous mark. They reached it with 6:09 remaining in the third quarter, when NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sank a free throw to bring their season total to 12,162 points — eclipsing the 12,161 scored by the Golden State Warriors across 104 games in the 2018-19 season. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Air conditioners without external unit. Should they go on to win the NBA title, they would become just the fourth team in league history to record at least 84 wins in a single season, joining the 2015-16 Warriors (88), the 1995-96 Bulls (87), and the 1996-97 Bulls (84).

Well, not quite, but the hunt for a new coach finally gets a positive update from renowned NBA insider Shams Charania. In a latest report, Charania shared that after being rejected for meetings with several coaches, the Knicks have finally locked their interest in ex-Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins and former Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown. The New York Knicks are set to have a meeting with two former NBA coaches after Tom Thibodeau's exit It was a surprising move that blindsided much of the NBA community. The New York Knicks parted ways with head coach Tom Thibodeau shortly after their deepest playoff run in 25 years. As fans continue to grapple with the surprise exit, fresh reports indicate that the Knicks are already moving forward with potential replacements. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, formal interviews with experienced candidates are set to begin next week, as New York eyes a new era on the sidelines. The update signals a serious shift in direction from the franchise, just over a week after Thibodeau's unexpected dismissal. Thibodeau's firing raised eyebrows across the league, especially considering his success with the Knicks. After taking the job in the 2020–21 season, he transformed the team from postseason outsiders into Eastern Conference contenders. Under his leadership, the Knicks made the playoffs in four of his five seasons and secured back-to-back 50-win campaigns, surely, it was something the franchise hadn't seen since the 1990s. Despite falling short in the conference finals against the Indiana Pacers, Thibodeau's exit came as a shock. But in a move that exemplified grace and gratitude, he responded not with criticism but with a heartfelt full-page ad in The New York Times. The message read in part, 'To the best city in the world with the best fans in the world: Thank you… I am proud of everything we accomplished together, including four playoff appearances and this year's run to the Eastern Conference finals -- our first in 25 years. ' Thibodeau ended the message by thanking the players, staff, and fans, signing off: 'With gratitude and respect, Tom Thibodeau.'
