In the video, they showed the dry shampoo, which contains hyaluronic acid and "absorbs oils, sweat and volumises hair".
It also costs £4 for 54g, compared to £26 for 56g of Aveda's much-loved Shampowder dry shampoo.
"I hope it's like the Aveda one!!!" one person wrote in the comments section

"Oooo a trip to Primark for me!" another added.
"If you see this, I need to try it!" a third insisted, tagging a friend.
Aveda's Shampowder shampoo has long been a favourite among beauty fans - particularly for the fact that it doesn't leave a white residue like its aerosol equivalents.
"Perfect for absorbing excess oil, impurities and sweat with powerful plant powders, this dry shampoo powder instantly adds volume and texture to refresh style," Aveda say of the product on their website.

And the reviews for the pricey product are overwhelmingly positive, with one person writing: "I have been using this product for a few weeks now, I wanted to test it on days where I really needed to rescue my hair!
"I have dark brown hair and was worried at first that it comes out a white powder, but very pleased when I found it disappeared when it absorbed the oils.

"I like that it isn't a spray but found the bottle a bit fiddly, took a little time to get used to."
"Love this new dry shampoo format," another added.

"The bottle and application method is so easy to use, it evenly distributes the product and works so well to absorb the excess oil and gives me volume to extend my wash day out by a day."
Aveda isn't the only company to release an aerosol-free dry shampoo, however.
Stacey Solomon's Rehab brand also has a powder-based formula, but it's still pricey at £24.
Despite that, reviewers rave about the Essential Dry Shampoo, with some going as far to call it "one of the best dry shampoos" they've ever used.

ProStrategy to create 75 tech jobs in Dublin and Cork

Irish technology solutions firm ProStrategy plans to double its Irish workforce with 75 new roles in business analysis, software engineering, and solution consultancy over the next five years. The company - based in Dublin and Cork - is 40 years in business this year. Its clients include Primark, PTSB, CityJet, Tennants, Payzone, Heineken, Ecco shoes, Gem and McCauley Pharmacies. Founded in 1985, ProStrategy provides business management software solutions to a range of small, medium and international businesses aimed at improving their enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer engagement, data analytics and AI, and overall operational performance. Sean Hanley, Commercial Director at ProStrategy, said the dawn of AI agents will bring change to how a typical Irish business operates, making software smarter, more proactive, and far easier to use. This shift means less time spent on admin and more focus on growth, strategy, and customers. We're committed to helping Irish businesses stay ahead as this new era of intelligent tools becomes the norm," Mr Hanley said.

Penneys O'Connell St revamped in €5 million ‘commitment to bricks and mortar'

Penneys has invested €5 million in a refurbishment of its O'Connell Street store as part of a 'commitment to bricks and mortar' which it hopes will boost sales. The 'key, anchor store' O'Connell Street location, which is one of the brand's 10 busiest stores, underwent a 16-week refurbishment. In addition to the aesthetic changes, 16 new self-service checkouts have been added while the store's Nails studio has undergone a revamp and has reclaimed an additional 1,217 sq ft of floor space to its home department. The store employs 250 people with around 90 working in the store on a given day. READ MORE The refurbishment is part of an ongoing €250 million investment programme into Ireland by Primark with further store redevelopments planned in the coming months at stores in Portlaoise, Limerick, and Ennis. Penneys operates 38 stores in the State, in 21 different counties, and recently invested €10 million in refurbishing its first store on Mary St. 'People are voting with their feet, we are really pleased with the performance of the store to date,' said Penneys area manager Andrew Murray, noting that footfall at the store had increased since the commencement of the works which have opened up the store to more natural light. The majority of the refurbishment work took place at night, by a team of 70 contractors from Bennett Construction, while the shop remained open for customers during the day. Sales in Ireland are 'improved', he said, 'but we could definitely do with a blast of good sunshine which is always the key determinant of our summer, but we are confident that sales are definitely on target'. Primark which trades as Penneys in Ireland, revised down its sales outlook for 2025 in January having reported a 6 per cent drop in like-for-like sales in the UK and Ireland. Primark's parent company, Associated British Foods, reported a 10 per cent fall in first-half profit in April, expecting a 'challenging' period of trading in the rest of the year. While the company is trialing a click and collect model in the UK, Mr Murray said the brand is committed to 'bricks and mortar stores in all of the markets we trade in'. The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Emma Blain, who cut the ribbon to reopen the store, said O'Connell Street is 'the beating heart of Dublin's cite centre' and said the 'iconic brand' of Penneys is at the centre of that heartbeat. She said the investment into the refurbishment of the store was a 'vote of confidence in O'Connell Street, in Dublin city and its people'. 'Penneys is more than just a shop to Dubliners, it is a beloved institution and a real success story for our city,' the Lord Mayor said.

Penneys O'Connell Street store gets €5m makeover

Penneys has completed a €5m refurbishment of its landmark O'Connell Street store in Dublin city centre. First opened in 1992, the busy O'Connell Street store has undergone its biggest makeover in more than a decade. It employs 250 people. Spanning 52,400 square feet., the store's new slightly larger layout is designed to improve every step of the customer journey. The Kidswear department has been relocated to the first floor, with a bigger range now available. Its Home department has also expanded, gaining an additional 1,217 sq. ft. of reclaimed space from relocated fitting rooms and service areas, now located on the lower ground floor. The O'Connell Street revamp is the latest milestone in Penneys owner Primark's ongoing €250m investment programme in Ireland, which has already delivered updates to several regional stores across the country. Further store redevelopments are planned in the coming months for Penneys stores in Portlaoise, Limerick, and Ennis. Piers Cunningham, Store Manager of Penneys O'Connell Street, said that Penneys has been part of Dublin's city centre fabric for nearly 50 years, and a landmark on O'Connell Street since 1992. "This investment is about more than just a fresh coat of paint - it's a commitment to our customers, our colleagues and the future of retail in Dublin," he added. Dublin Town chief executive Richard Guiney said the Penneys brand has been synonymous with Dublin's northern retail core for over 50 years and the commitment demonstrated by this investment is truly welcome. "It represents a vote of confidence in a district that is re-establishing itself as a premier destination and one that has been recognised as such by the Taoiseach's Taskforce For Dublin. We have no doubt that this positive momentum can be built upon as we take the necessary steps to further strengthen Dublin's core city centre and create the city experience that Dubliners are calling for," he added.
