The numbers called in Wednesday's (July 30) main Lotto draw were: 04, 24, 26, 31, 39, 40 and the Bonus numbers was 44. Meanwhile, in Wednesday's Lotto Plus 1 draw, where there was a top prize worth €1 million up for grabs, the numbers to look out for are: 06, 18, 22, 26, 35, 37 and the Bonus number is 23. Similar to tonight's main Lotto draw, one player came close to becoming Ireland's newest millionaire after they missed out on the €1 million jackpot by just one matching number. However, the punter still has reason to celebrate as they scooped the Match 5 + Bonus prize worth a cool €5,000. And in Wednesday's Lotto Plus 2 draw, the numbers called were: 03, 05, 13, 28, 32, 34 and the Bonus numbers is 17. Lotto bosses have revealed the county a winning six-figure ticket was sold in following Saturday night's draw. The lucky Wicklow player secured €107,032 after matching five numbers and the bonus in Saturday night's main Lotto draw. The winning Normal Play ticket was purchased on the day of the draw from Applegreen Arklow, Wexford Road, Arklow, Co. Wicklow. The winning numbers in the draw were: 12, 19, 24, 32, 35, 36 and the bonus was 22. While there was no winner of the Lotto jackpot worth €12,781,699, in total, over 101,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, including the aforementioned player from Wicklow. Darragh O'Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson, said: 'What a fantastic night for one player in Wicklow who has claimed a life-changing €107,032 after matching five numbers and the bonus in Saturday night's main Lotto draw. HEARTBREAKING tributes have poured in for a "truly wonderful" young teacher who died suddenly over the weekend. Shannon Watson, who is understood to have been aged in her late 20s, sadly passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep on Saturday. The young woman, from Ballyhaise in Co It is understood she was a History and Religion teacher in a secondary school in Co A death notice online reads: "To the inexplicable grief of her mother Martina, dad Alex and his wife Janice, brothers Dwyane (Shauna) and Aaron (Caoimhe) her partner Eoin Mahon, and nephew Noah." Shannon's family confirmed she will be reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home in Co Cavan from 4pm until 8pm tomorrow. READ MORE IRISH NEWS There will be removal from her home at 10:30am on Wednesday morning to St Mary's Church in Ballyhaise for Requiem Mass at 11am. She will be laid to rest afterwards in St Patrick's Cemetery in Castletara. Tributes have been pouring in for Shannon since her sad passing on Saturday, with mourners telling how she was a genuinely kind, thoughtful, smart and compassionate young woman. One mourner said: "I'm so sorry to hear the heartbreaking news of Shannon's passing. During her time in Dublin, I had the joy of working alongside her and calling her a friend. MOST READ ON THE IRISH SUN "Shannon was a truly wonderful teacher and an incredibly kind and caring person. I feel fortunate to have known her, even for a short time. "My deepest sympathies to her family, Eoin and all who are grieving." Another pal added: "I'm so sorry to hear about your loss of Shannon. Shannon has a kind soul and is a wonderful teacher. I'll always remember her bright spirit from our college days." 'SHOWED GREAT KINDNESS' A colleague said: "Shannon was a wonderful teacher in Athboy CS. She showed kindness and fairness to all our students, always making time for anyone who needed it. "Shannon was held in very high esteem by her colleagues for many reasons. "Her thoughtfulness, kindness, sense of humour and strong work ethic to name a few. Shannon will be missed greatly in our school community." Another mourner described Shannon as a "fantastic role model". GAA CLUB CANCELS ACTIVITIES A mum of a student taught by the young woman said: "Shannon was the only teacher who was ever spoke about in my house. "Shannon showed great kindness to my daughter, she encouraged her in her school work and instilled an 'I can' attitude in her. "It is obvious Shannon cared deeply for the students in her care." Ballyhaise GAA Club confirmed that all its club activities have been cancelled as a mark of respect until after the funeral on Wednesday. It said: "The club and community are saddened at the sudden and untimely passing of Shannon Watson, sister of club players Aaron and Dwayne. "We extend our sincerest sympathies to her parents and brothers at this sad time. As a mark of respect to the Watson & Rudden families all club activities are cancelled until after her funeral." 1
