Jamie Laing's new Radio 1 co-host revealed as BBC sign up familiar face for Vick Hope's maternity replacement
RADIO 1 host Jaime Laing will co-host his show with wife Sophie Habboo during the summer.
It comes as his Going Home co-presenter Vick Hope has gone on maternity leave.

Jaime, 36, who wed Sophie, 30, two years ago already present a hugely successful podcast together called NewlyWeds.
A source said: "Sophie is joining the Radio 1 family and everyone is really excited that she'll be bringing her chemistry with hubby Jaime to the airwaves.
"They're already pros after doing their podcast for so many years but this is a huge moment for them and they can't wait. It could lead to endless opportunities for them as a couple. They could even be a modern day Richard and Judy."
Last week Vick - who is married to DJ Calvin Harris - finally confirmed she was pregnant live on air after sharing a number of snaps over the past few weeks with her bump.
Speaking to her co-host Jamie Laing, Vick said: "I should probably also say this is my final week before I go on maternity leave."
Joking about not knowing, Jamie replied: "What? You're an amazing friend, an amazing person, and you're just going to be an amazing mum."
Flaunting her bump in a blue dress, she posted: "Thank you for the love and the laughs these last few months Jamie, all the team and our amazing listeners."
Former Made In Chelsea star Jamie and Vick took over the drivetime show in March of 2024, alongside Katie Thistleton, following Jordan North 's departure from the station.
Katie went on maternity leave herself in May of this year before welcoming her little boy Ruben.
Last week the couple, who got married two years ago on 20 May 2023, revealed that they were pressing pause on their podcast while they renovate their new home.

Sophie said: 'We actually have a bit of an announcement for you guys.
'We are going to go on a pause, we're going to go on a little break, but we will be back and we love you guys so much.
'We're so grateful that you've been on this journey with us, so on that note, if you are getting married, good luck and if you're getting divorced we love you.'
Fans speculated that the pair would be announcing a pregnancy in coming weeks but it seems the break is in fact so they can work on the show together.
While hosting NewlyWeds together, nothing was off limits when it came to discussing their own relationship, with many fans saying in the comments that they'd miss their 'comfort' podcast.

A woman has been charged after the body of Polish mother, Izabela Zablocka, was uncovered by police 15 years after she vanished. Anna Podedworna, 39, has been charged with murder, preventing a lawful and decent burial and perverting the course of justice. It comes after the body of Izabela Zablocka, 30, was found in a garden in Derby on June 1 of this year, having been missing for over a decade. Izabela, who moved to Britain in 2009, lived on Princes Street and worked at the former Cranberry Foods Turkey and Chicken Factory in nearby Scropton. She last made contact with her family in Poland on August 28, 2010 and despite their efforts to trace her, she was never found. Samanatha Shallow, Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor in the East Midlands, said: 'Following a review of the evidence provided by Derbyshire Constabulary, we have authorised criminal charges in relation to the death of Izabela Zablocka 'Ms Zablocka went missing in August 2010, when she was aged 30. Her body was recovered in Derby on 1 June 2025. 'Anna Podedworna, 39, from Derby, has been charged with her murder. She has also been charged with preventing a lawful and decent burial and perverting the course of justice. 'She will appear at Derby Magistrates' Court on Friday, 6 June 2025. 'Our thoughts remain with the family of Ms Zablocka at this time. 'The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against the defendant are active and that she has the right to a fair trial. Wet and windy weekend! Met Office warns of 40mph gusts in London plus as much rain on Saturday as ALL that fell in May - but heat will rise to 25C next week
Brits are warned of 'unseasonably windy conditions' this weekend, while as much rain as England experienced in the whole of May could fall in just a few hours, the Met Office has predicted. Forecasters said about 30mm of rain could fall in just three hours in southern parts of the UK, with up to 50mm over the course of the day. Met Office data shows England had 32.8mm of rain last month, almost half the month's usual average. They have forecast heavier and more frequent showers on Saturday, with hail and thunder possible and some unseasonably strong winds in coastal areas. There could also be a risk of surface-water flooding, which 'could lead to challenging driving conditions'. From June 1 to June 3 there has already been 10.7mm of rain, a fifth of the 50.9mm recorded for the UK during May. Sunday looks to be drier and the better day of the weekend, before further rain in northern England on Monday. Meteorologist Honor Criswick said the wet weather was because of low pressure. She said: 'At the north of the country this brings in a north-westerly wind, so gradually drags in frontal systems out from the west and south-west, and that leads to some pretty changeable and wet weather at times.' Met Office spokeswoman Andrea Bishop said the weather for the rest of the week would be 'changeable'. She said: 'Generally the theme is the continuation of something a bit cooler, a bit breezy at times, and a bit wet at times too. 'We are keeping an eye on a new front which looks like it will move in on Friday night, bringing rain which could be heavy, and possibly thundery at times on Saturday. 'Rainfall totals of 20mm to 30mm are likely in places and, at present, this looks like it will affect the southern half of the UK. 'We are keeping a close eye on this to see how it evolves over the next 24 hours or so.' Next week temperatures will rise to above average for the time of year, with highs of 25C next Wednesday in London and 23C in Manchester. The National Farmers' Union (NFU) said the change in weather would be welcomed by many farmers. Rachel Hallos, NFU vice president, said: 'After such a dry start to the year, this weekend's rainfall will be welcome in many areas. 'However, heavy downpours aren't the ideal way to restore soil moisture, what farmers really need is steady, consistent rainfall to support crops and grazing without causing run-off or damaging soils. 'These changing weather patterns, from long dry periods to intense bursts of rain, highlight the need for long-term planning and investment in water, particularly the water we need to produce the food we enjoy. 'Things like rainwater harvesting and more flexible abstraction rules are important steps in adapting to these new conditions.' Luke Hindle, duty manager for National Highways, urged drivers to plan journeys carefully.
